Reminder Daeron was not initially even supposed to exist in the show, the showrunners wanted to combine Daeron & Aemond into a single character. That's why in S1 Aemond seemed to get whitewashed a bit to seem more noble and misunderstood than in the book, it's why the story unfolded as if Daeron never existed, it's why Maelor doesn't exist in the show. But the showrunners got pressured into adding Daeron so in S2 Aemond rapidly veered into cartoonish evil character just like in the book. Problem is that the showrunners don't actually know what to do with Daeron because they warped the storyline a bit too much now (no Reach POV, Otto replaces Hobert, Maelor doesn't exist, etc.)

I personally clock out after S4 on rewatches. Every character/arc that carries the show is dead by then.
