What ever Susan's involvement in the finale two episodes were, got cut as soon as Gatwa chose to leave and they had to re-do the ending.
Pic related is never shown and clearly from the original scrapped ending which was said to have Susan looking down at the Doctor and Bellinda as they party'd.
Leakers also said that Susan was originally going to be the one who helped the Doctor realize what was happening and made no mention of Rogue, who ended up in the finale. Those same leakers got everything else correct.

Re-writes happened, on top of the clear re-writes of what ever scripts there was to try and fit Bellinda into the post Millie Gibson sacking plot (such as sticking her in a box for a whole episode)

You know, it's actually ironic that it was Russel T. Davies that got me into Doctor Who.
I never liked the original show but in 2007 I saw BLINK which is a masterpiece and the perfect episode to get someone interested as the Doctor is peripheral to the story and not the main focus.
So I watched all four seasons of Nu Who and was blown away by how great it was with excellent writing, direction, effects and especially its cinematography which looked great compared to Old Who that always looked soo fucking cheap with shit picture quality as it was usually shot on video and had that soap opera effect.
I continued watching it until sometime into the second Matt Smith season as for some reason I just lost interest.
I will say that I do love the 50th anniversary episode where every iteration of the Doctor converges to save Gallifrey.....

Making Piper the new Doctor is just desperation, same as having Tennant split into himself and the new Doctor.
