Explain why this wouldn’t work in real life.

it does work I did it with my mate

the weight and pulling power of two men is not enough to counteract the trapped volume of air trying to ascend.

It would work, if they were weighed down, like something on their feet to keep the ocean bed.

The volume of air contained within the boat is enough to keep it afloat with at least two passengers when it's on the surface, so it's enough to produce the same buoyancy when it's upside down underwater.

They could show them with extra weights to make it realistic.

based retard, i kneel

it would be impossible for them to hold the boat down. imagine trying to force an inflated tube underwater. otherwise it would work

Boat hulls are watertight but not airtight.

plus all the other reasons

buoyancy

explain why you keep spamming this thread you retarded autist

the spinosaurus will get them

where's saddam?

the boat will launch up and take their arms with them

It would implode like that sub from the pressure

When you go deeper than like 15 feet, the pressure is too much that you physically cannot breathe, like your diaphragm can't function under such pressure. Scuba has to be pressurized and force air into and out

The dudes just have to be super strong to hold down the boat because its quite buoyant but if they can both bench about 320 they should be fine.

air floats so you have to fill the boat with lead because lead sinks
but you can't breathe lead
solution: a kilogram of feathers weighs the same as a kilogram of lead, so fill the boat with feathers and you can breathe the air trapped in the feathers but still sink

air is... le heavy

This is your mind on SAAAAAAAHHEEEENCE

People also float...

so fill the people with lead

It got him ages ago.

learn to read

but bullets kill people so fill them with feathers too instead
the largest easily accessible cavities are the lungs which should be enough weight and also the lungs can directly breathe the air trapped in the feathers

Explain why this wouldn't work in real life.

Maybe Oceangate should’ve tried this method instead of a submersible.

the air would be to heavy and would pull the boat down on them

But they are holding onto it, thus pulling it towards the floor

air is... le heavy

The exact opposite, retard.

Hitting water from that depth is like hitting concrete.

It really could do with a Saddam edit.

Me and my friends, and I'm sure a lot of us, tried this so many times at the pool with buckets and things like that. It just doesn't work.

Is in the room with us?

How retarded can you possibly be

The key is to eat a very big lunch so the additional weight offsets the buoyancy

You didn't watch Mythbusters, did you?

Kek even when I was a 6 old, this scene looked retarded to me. Good movie tho

They wouldn't be strong enough. Imagine being that boat floating normally how hard would it be swim under it and pull it directly down into the water

if it doesn't work, then explain how they filmed it faget

But they don't have to pull it down. They just hold onto it while wading into the water and keep holding onto as they walk deep into the sea.

what is buoyancy

Boats are already meant to be buoyant enough to keep afloat two adult men without several cubic feet of air in them adding even more lift out of the water.
These two are just not heavy enough to pull the boat out of the water.
Also it's unrealistic that the boat is as air-tight as it would need to be for this to work.

But, if you were, like, Superman and were crazy heavy and strong. Sure this would work.

right-side up boat floats

upside-down boat sinks
