It's a retarded show. It's never tried to be anything else. Just because the rest of the world is more and more retarded doesn't mean it's suddenly serious. It's just harder to tell the difference now.

In thinking about my comment it started inserting “the current thing”‘early on and continued on that path (Saddam onward). At some point I think Matt and Trey both ran out of ideas and got a little too full of themselves and used that as crutch instead of writing shows about the kids being kids. I think somewhere around the Coon it just stopped making me laugh. Perhaps someday I’ll rewatch the early seasons again and try and pinpoint when it flipped to mostly gay and lame. Mostly.
