No one cares about DC, just give up. It's not a problem with this or that actor or this or that director or the way the suits are designed. DC heroes are fucking grim, uninspired and downright depressing.
When a child sees a Marvel hero they go "wow wouldn't it be cool to be like that?". Who wouldn't want to be Spiderman in High School or college? Who wouldn't want to have Johnny Storm's powers? Even when their backstory is tragic or they don't have real superpowers they still get that WOW factor. Wouldn't it be fun to be Peter Quill and travel around space seeing different planets? Fuck Marvel is so good sometimes even their villains inspire the "I wish that was me" feeling. When we see Magneto for example we kind of wish we could have that kind of ruthlessness in the face of injustice.
