when you go back and watch the first 18 seasons of survivor you truly realize how horrific the new stuff is. new survivor is still ok but true classic survivor is one of the best tv shows of all time period. i recently rewatched marquesas (season 4) and was fucking blown away by how much more kino it was

I just finished a rewatch of Marquesas as well and thought the endgame parallels between that and 48 were pretty funny. Paschal and Neleh were like the Joe and Eva of that season, the adopted father/daughter unbreakable duo who preached honor and integrity the whole way vs the two blacks scheming against them. The only difference was based Kathy in place of a stuttering retard.

I know what you mean, I grew up watching old Survivor so I love it. Watched it religiously since Borneo up until Gabon, then I skipped 18 and 19 but I did watch Heroes vs Villains. After that I only watched 28 which was simply ok thanks to the weekly threads in here and then I didn't watch any season until 48 so imagine my shock at how different the show feels.
