i think it's funny how andor conveniently gets arrested as a result of his own actions but then you never hear anything about these kind of arrests being ever made again

ive been avoiding everything till the show is done, then ill consooom

What would make you stand up and clap and whisper kino under your breath that can still realistically happen?

i've lost all interest in watching any interview with any artist recently
the product speaks for itself and i know their thoughts based on their product

um then maybe don't be in this thread

Calculating the most energy efficient way to flatline you

Shame there's only gonna be 2 season of this. Andor has been the only watchable star wars stuff in recent times. I guess its the right thing to cut it short, otherwise it would've gone to shit like al the Filoni garbage.

Syril.png - 1242x838, 390.07K

which part of the robot do you guys see as beeing the "mouth", the whitish bit at the bottom of the black line in the middle

Neither, looks like a skull without a jaw

the whitish bit at the bottom

i like that blaster, it looks like a browning hi-power.

I just finished episode 9, why didn't these people write the sequels ?

A big disappointment of Andor is that the overriding impression I get of Mon Mothma is "neurotic" and "operationally impotent." It seems like all she does is get pushed around and dictated to by Luthen. Then suddenly she gets a Big Speech and is promptly whisked away to Yavin. It's a symptom of a larger problem with this show which is that if you stop and think about it, very little of the mechanics of the ascent of the Rebellion is substantially dealt with. For a show about the politics of revolution, the Rebellion is a rather ethereal entity.

it was so obvious that the white woman was going to betray the poor good dindu nuffin negro

What a fucking shithole, full of brown sludge.

Because Kathleen Kennedy is a moron

the white piece is pretty clearly the speak/vocabulator

what's with the bottle opener on the hammer?

Probably because they were working on something else or weren't interested in Star Wars at the time.

It desperately needs to be edited down, and yet somehow the plotlines feel half-cooked. It was a good show, and easily the best one Disney has put out, but it needed more love.

Think it’s a second nigga

Why did Sheev get rid of these niggas?

so you don't know?

He just made them wear red

And replaced them with these lame dorks instead?

Her importance was as a financier. Other people handle the logistics of how to get the soldiers and X-Wings and blasters and food, she moved money around and provided a face for the publicly-acceptable "opposition" in the Empire. Her speech marks the turning point where the rebels go from scattered opposition to a unified cause. Even if she's just a figurehead, she's a rallying point for potential recruits. The average apathetic citizen who agreed with her views as a Senator suddenly heard her issue a call to arms

They just got replaced.

Royal Guards (red ones) ≠ Senate Guards (blue ones)
Red ones are only with Sheev. Blue ones were stationed in the Senate building.

Those guys don't bodyguard Sheev.

See:

it’s not about the rebellion, it’s about andor and the man he becomes when he steals the death star plans

Funny, when we had a season where he does nothing and doesn’t change as a character I was told the show was actually about the rebellion

esl retard struggles to understand a show for white men

Checks out.

There's a whole show about the rebellion. It's called Rebels.

DUUUUUUDE, SYRIL IS, LIKE, WHAT LUKE ALMOST WAS

This doesn't work because Syril is portrayed from the jump as having a pathological personality. Luke is an inherently good-hearted young man with a healthy skepticism of the Empire. At no point is Syril portrayed as anything other than a bootlicking doofus who craves validation. This is a fine foundation for dark comedy and the actor is good, so Syril is one of the better characters. But you can't wring tragedy out of this kind of character. The writers could never take his perspective seriously because ultimately they have too much contempt for him.

IMG_1538.jpg - 1160x783, 72.7K

Better show, too.

No, Rebels is about Space Aladdin and his crew of morons.

Kyle Katarn never needed to get prison buckbroken, just saying.

And those morons are the ones who carry out the dirty work of gathering men and materiel for the effort

who are you quoting

:O

RIP Kloris.webm - 1920x804, 3.93M

Mothma wouldn’t react like this.

Ghorman spiders waking up to find out their web has been stolen yet again....

What's with the disgusting blue/green filter?

Because the Senate doesn't matter, so he's not going to waste time giving rent-a-cops special outfits when that money can go to the Death Star. instead

that's just the sky, dumb zoomie.

She most certainly would, the only two times she's ever seen someone get shot happened in the last five minutes

George did the same for AOTC blu-ray release for some reason.

So is Galen gonna show up? Bodhi the pilot was inspired by Galen to switch sides and take the info to saw. We have seen from the trailers that Saw will be on Jedah. But I wonder if they got Mads in on it, or is he too big for TV now. He was at the star wars celebration.

Clone Wars is still canon.

So what? That was after this.

Anon, I…

When did Mothma see people getting lit up with blasters?

Mon Mothma did not see any action during Clone Wars. What are you talking about.

Senate hostage arc

it's consistent with how she acted when tay kolma was killed

Mads in on it, or is he too big for TV

Mads is too big for TV but Stellan isn't?

she wasn't there

She wasn't there, mu dude.

She saw a Rodian Senator pass out in front of her, cuz he was poisoned, and she reacted the same way as she did in Andor.

Chad Bane.webm - 1280x544, 3.91M

tay wasn't killed in front of her and we don't know what jeeta used to do it

i meant the traumatic dancing scene or do you think she was having fun

I went outside for the first time in 2 years. I got introduced to a couple of girls and one said that I look like Syril from Andor and they all agreed. Is that a good thing? I always thought he looked like he was constantly in a state of almost crying. Kinda like when you rub your eyes a lot. Or like a discount Ramsey Bolton.

My bad the ep just being named senate murders tripped me.
Andor mothma’s still kindof a whiny bitch.

Syril is an example of aimless youth in a fascist regime who fall for the propaganda.
All he wanted to be is someone who mattered and made a difference in his glorified version of what the empire was. The empire made sure he was useful, uninformed, and expendable to the very end
learning what he really was broke him

I don't like water on Coruscant. And the Valencia architecture sticks out like a sore thumb.

I Drive.webm - 1920x804, 3.87M

Well, she's no Padme, who'd seen combat since she was 14. Padme had balls and real spirit.

I have not watched Clone Wars, its 7 seasons and a movie. I am not huge into cartoons but I like Star Wars. Is it worth the watch? Or like weekly episodes to teach a moral?

it's worth it imo there's even a chart with recommended episodes if you don't wanna watch the whole thing

The moral is exposited via text fortune cookie at the start of every ep but it never does any look at the screen type shit.
It’s good, watch it.

which episodes do you get a glimpse of Ahsoka's orange pussy while doing backflips and slicing battle droids in half?

Yes. No.

finner.jpg - 2896x4096, 2.3M

HE DOES WHAT HE WANTS!

So can you guys tell me whether Syril is ugly or not? I cant tell honestly.

Most people wouldn't recognize Valencia, Spain

The argument to make is that this is where the top of the top live, the people who literally run the galaxy. Of course they'll live in luxury.
That said, Coruscant never felt like Coruscant to me in this show. Even when Andor and Bix were living in their dingy penthouse suite.

Why wouldn't there be water?

(K)Leia

OIP (8).jpg - 474x474, 14.12K

poor Kloris, he had a change of heart too and was going to protect her.

Give it a try and find out. It's more of an anthology show. There are standalone self-contained episodes - mostly in the first two seasons - but a lot are structured in story arcs of 2-4 episodes, like Andor is structured in 3 episodes blocks. Season 1 and the movie are campier than the following seasons, but it significantly grows with the audience, as does the animation constantly improves. There are occasional Jar Jar episodes, cause George loved Jar Jar and really wanted to make him work, so be warned. But regardless, it's still the best SW show next to Andor. Most of the themes that are present in Andor, Clone Wars had done them already - although its closer in tone to George's movies, as opposed to Andor. It's good.

i had a feeling the episode would end with Andor leaving with Mon like most arcs of Andor ends,Cassian going away on a ship

disgusting creatures.

874545784447.jpg - 1174x801, 53.59K

He's not unattractive. The reason you're not sure is because the actor actually did a pretty good job of having an ugly personality. The guy himself isn't that bad, just maybe his eyes a little small and close together.

Cause Coruscant is the planet of steel and stone. There is like one tree at the Jedi Temple's courtyard. There is no nature on that planet. Plus, thematically, I don't think Palpatine restructuring it to include water during the Imperial era fits. Water is a symbol of life. It's nature. Empire is all about being clinically sterile, it's about death. Just doesn't fit. And it's inconsistent with the previous portrayals.

AOTC Senate.png - 1920x1080, 2.97M

they have done this thing so many times, Andor being taken by his mom on a ship, andor being taken by Luthen, Andor taking Bix, andor taking Mon. Its pretty cool

saar why does the planet have watur saar planet not watur saar

okay Rajesh.

Anybody I disagree with is Indian

Is he wrong though?

he is handsome, reminds me a bit of Crispin Glover

that's the north side, the reflecting pool is on the south side nigga

hes got... huge hands... so...

bix.jpg - 1240x836, 52K

believes in the "perfect" order of the Empire, an uncompromising tool to deal with and process any crime

thinks it's just incompetent middle manager mooks who get it wrong so he works his way into the big leagues

realizes they are just full of shit and tricks, they don't care one bit for order, and it goes all the way to the top

It's not that complicated.

i see it more as a status symbol from the senate while everyone else is stuck in cyberpunk hell, even the more wealthy dont have water pieces like this

this plus I feel like in the prequels coruscant is always shown in very moody lighting. During nighttime, or sunrise, or sunset. In andor it's shown during the workday, in daylight, of course it's not gonna look quite as evocative. I also don't see why having a bit of water is such a crime, they have that square with the tree, why the fuck wouldn't they have a square with water. I'd assume theres thousands of those scattered throughout more affluent areas of the planet, why the fuck not.

Was kind of hoping for an X-Wing heist like in the Biggs comic

one mention

in a book

lol
This also first appeared in the EU in 1996, before we knew what Coruscant was actually like as shown in the films. So that doesn't count. Coruscant as shown in the films is 100% steel and stone industrialized hellhole.

Not anymore, fucko

sar! dere is no watur in de planet! like home in delhi!

Kleya's a grown ass woman. Leia would have been 14 years old at the start of Andor. Just let it go, breh.

One of the episodes of the mandalorian (a pretty decent bottle episode about the reformed imperial scientist) showed the tallest mountain peak, Umate, on the planet was just a rock sticking out of one of the levels on the planet.

Why did the chick look like kyle rittenhouse on hrt

why isn't leia and beil on the wedding of mons daughter or did i miss them

Map of Coruscant

7ideKDXw.jpg - 6001x3022, 2.78M

MAYBE we'll finally get to see X-Wings in action in this show

Leia was there

Cool

how the fuck does even corrusant not collapse? it's supposedly a city-only planet but you need some base to build on, and imagine the pressure
there's hundreds of "levels" iirc and each one is massive
idk i don't think it's realistic

Keep in mind they probably do movie magic to make imperials look slightly "off"

THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND

Smitts really couldn't show up for like 2 days for the Bail Organa scenes?

He has Parkinson's man

The actor also usually has a huge beard too. They made him look kind of twinky but he's actually a blue eyed bear irl

gaps between the rings

what do they have there? i'm guessing its farms or factories

Aw that's a bummer

thousands of levels

if this weren't pure space fantasy you'd have different species living on the lower levels, like in iain m bank's Matter novel

It's the shitass apartments we saw in the show, plus yes decaying factories

They showed that in Attack of the Clones. It's probably where all their poop goes

002626521233.png - 1857x830, 784.13K

THX only one I could find online. Looks like someone took the images of Coruscant we saw from orbit and pasted them over a map projection. Then added a cheeky little 'Great Western Sea'.

They have hoverdrive stuff that works pretty well. It's cheap enough that people use it to lift things that are dragged by animals. That could be used to keep buildings from collapsing too.

Didn't they show really extensive factory sectors in one of the films?

Maybe it was when they were chasing the assassin in Attack of the Clones?

Certainly one of the cartoons, Clone Wars or Rebels, showed huge areas devoted to factories.

idk they chose the densest planet to build it on
It's space opera tech (magic) I ain't gotta explain shit

There is an ancient Sith Temple at level one of Coruscant. There are also creatures there.

That was after they fired the UFC wrestler Gina chick for conservative posting and had to lean extra woke to make up for it.

The city is built over where all the water would be. They even have their own Mount Everest sticking up

Conceptualize the air quality

This was a cool detail IMO.

So it's all in constant darkness? Does anything live down there?

The poor

the starting level of jedi survivor takes place down there, like >1000 levels down (i forget exactly)
youtube.com/watch?v=hiLUToilEXs

Wonder if the Jedi chose Coruscant for their temple because the altitude would be insane for training in. Kind of like how American Olympians train in Colorado Springs

Coruscant has trillions of beings living on it and is speculated to be a possible birth world of the humans species.

I don't see why the Empire wouldn't add an additional building at some point anyway.

hot town, summer in the city

back of my neck getting dirty and gritty

I meant the water/ground underneath the city stuff. Guess I misunderstood

How mentally retarded do you have to be to not understand that Rydhonium is some kind of fuel? Even if you only watch the episode, you'll still understand it by the time Saw is done introducing the gizmo Wilmon brought in.

At least they finally added traffic to it. Whenever they show the planet in NuWars there are like no flying cars like there should be.

How mentally retarded do you have to be to not understand that Rydhonium is some kind of fuel?

yeah the show makes it so clear lol

well there's obviously ground down there somewhere, why wouldn't there be water down there too?

1 trillion people

no water anywhere

Pick one.

I imagine it's kind of like Telos from Kotor2 where they have a system that keeps the actual planet terraformed

OIP (9).jpg - 474x459, 34.7K

It's very stinky there.

They could just import water and food

theres no way they could have built everything on coruscant with that planets natural resources... so they must have shipped it in. I have one question... too much weight on a planet has to fuck it up

I swear, it's impossible to spell Coruscant from memory

what kind of idiot thinks that because it's a city planet there's no water ? come on

Well, we didn't see any.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone in Star Wars drink water come to think of it...

fuck you lucas that's not how it works

Husband status as of 2BBY?

if there's equal pressure on the planet crust from all directions it balances out so no magma spills. Maybe they even use that pressure to farm energy. Plus we don't even know how thick the crust is, it could be a lot thicker than ours so there would be no issues
we just did in ep 9, worst case they imported water but i doubt they made a waterless planet the capital of the galaxy

Exactly. I have no clue what the fuck it is, but from watching the show I garnered that it's some kind of fuel, it's highly sought after and fiercely protected, it's volatile, it's deadly in both gaseous and liquid form, it takes expertise to even handle it, and it fucked up Saw. This show is the first I've heard of it and I managed to figure all that out. Why are people so retarded?

what kind of idiot thinks that because it's a city planet there's no water?

Browns and other subhumans.

Kind of a weird thumbnail for a porn video

inb4: Kleya is Lea's aunt

Kleya is so fucking hot

I actually just remember how Jake Lloyd kept saying it behind the scenes and I remember how to spell it.
Chorus-skant.

also, i just realized it was rainy as fuck in some episodes on Coruscant so there's also that

Klaya is Space-Mid

Was it this bitch's first day on the job or something, because all she did was fuck up.

dude sure put a lot of effort into raping one specific girl

Too bad Andor won't live long enough to take part in the kino that is the battle of Endor

093746452234.png - 1814x826, 834.95K

You mean like Padme's sister?

Padme, Leia and Kleya all look like they could be sisters

Where the fuck is Diego Luna?

behind you

He wanted that pussy.
He should've been allowed to. Fuck Bix.

where’s your husband, who you only brought up to get me to fuck off?

UH UH UH NOT HERE

She wanted it.

What I would give for a full movie of a space battle like Sink the Bismark

She was a terrorist and and illegal. She deserved it.

He used to say he was tired of doing Star Wars but now there are articles of him saying he's sad about leaving Star Wars

best I can do is Assoka season two, its supposed to be a giant space battle fore most the season. The trade off is its Filoni slop.

You can always play OG Battlefront 2 or Rebel Leader for maximum space battle fun. I also played Squadrons recently and that was some fun Star Wars space battling.

pretty much the taris underworld from kotor. yeah, no natural light and every resources is recycled or running down from the surface

I'll stick to day dreaming about "Sink the Sovereign" thanks dave

God I wish death sticks were real

Maybe I'll like Rogue One after this is over. I never really cared for it.

there's already more than enough drugs in the world to waste your life on

Maybe I'll like Rogue One after this is over.

You'll like what I you're told to like.

It's PORTMAN

Shut the fuck up, Luke

I couldn't wait until Andor was finished so I rewatched it and it was worse than I remember. Too many marvel tier quips, bad pacing, Saw does nothing and Jyn taking over the movie all sucked. Its jarring going from the quality of Andor to Rogue One

The story of the Rebels "stealing" their X-Wings really should have been in this

imagine if it was 4 hours and shot like

TORA TORA TORA in a very flat documentary style;

with a narrator/commentary version explaining what was going on in every scene so they didn't have useless exposition.

That's a bummer. I do remember the quips being annoying but the music and the sound design were just so offputting to me. It just didn't sound right.

i saw the scene of Andor and Jyn dying and was actually sad for the first time ever watching that movie

I like the idea of a couple of darksiders unaffiliated with Sheev infiltrating the Rebel Alliance and fucking shit up for their own personal glory, that should be a story with a tv show

To remind you who was in charge

I really like tie fighter designs. To me that's iconic Star wars. Lightsabers are fucking gay.

Why did they fast forward his plotline, barely makes sense

goes completely native in his sympathy for the Gormans

never finds out the ISB false flag until the day it happens

chimps out on his ISB girlfriend

dies

the reality is they should've made it clear there are other powers than just [the empire/republic] and [the outer rim]; like significant powers that would be a pain in the ass to take, occupy, and which thus form the perfect staging ground for borderland incursions from.

Is the second season worth a watch? I liked the first but felt it was a bit slow and uneventful at times, is the second season different?

back in the day there was that joke video floating around based on that guys civil war documentaries about war, and I have to say I would love to see a serious documentary on the galactic civil war that costs like 600 million dollars to make.

The climax is kino, but yeah most of it is peak capeshit/nu-wars

Shit man, there's a scene where a bunch of unarmed women get shot in the back and a mom watches TV knowing her son is dead. It does start pretty slow though.

So what are we some kind of Sith Skwad?

Oh kino. Yeah the first one did start slow too. A little small scale for my taste, but enjoyable nonetheless. Though as kind of an imperial simp my favorite scenes were the ISB ones

Rogue One was at odds with itself. It wanted to be a dramatic war story about sacrifice but was too quippy and drawn out and the stormtroopers were no threat so it never felt like there were any stakes. Plus having a big cast of rag tag stock characters that you have to get to know in the midst of all that bathos inducing crap means that it's hard to care about them or their big sacrifice at the end.

Is the second season worth a watch? I liked the first but felt it was a bit slow and uneventful at times, is the second season different?

she was lonni's agent so he probably picked the most incompetent one he could find

Lmao fair, I guess I meant more so is it any worse in quality/pacing

Slow for the first two episodes, then ironically too fast for the rest.

Seriously, did we need to waste two episodes on those retards in the jungle?

Why didn't Mon come down and party in Endor at the end of ROTJ? Nien Nub, Lando, and Ackbar came down to party with Luke gang and the ewoks. First 3 episodes showed that girl loves partying and dancing. She racist towards alien?

Mon_Mothma.jpg - 250x318, 17.5K

Persona non grata amongst the Ewoks, but that's a story for another time....

If anything they showed that she HATES it

Some ISB stuff, you just have to get past the little arc where the Rebels are acting like fucking retards

She was probably a bit too busy dealing with everyone looking at her for leadership now that they killed the emperor to party

What do rebel leaders usually do when a regime is right in the middle of changing? I'd guess she was assuming some position of authority to prevent the immediate collapse of government infrastructure or something.

They should've had more aliens as heroes and main characters. They are easier to recast, can be used for decades to come, and always become fan favorite

Because an episode of the Rebels cartoon covers that "Whisked away to Yavin" part.

french people get clubbed to death by killer robots

Rogue One is almost a decade old

Motherfucking Jesus Christ

See what was most interesting to me about last season was the grander rebel and imperial plays and how andor played into all of it. So that sounds kind of concerning lmao. Then again I don’t like the rebels much so maybe I’ll enjoy it in a weird way

Leia is a senator and war hero, she's down partying. Ackbar is an admiral and he's also partying.

Les Miserables in space

I do in the sense that Disney used the exact same location in that Tomorrowland movie that flopped and lead them to cancel the original version of Tron 3.

I'm marathoning episode five right now and this season has been very underwhelming. I'm already extremely sick of space Paris

Partying with Carrie Fisher was probably a bad idea

id say it has as much boring stuff as the first, but it builds up to a great payoff as well like the first.

the stunt work was actually really impressive.
this is the shit Arnie should have been doing in Terminator

It's all building up to the payoff. Not sure what this next arc has to offer though

Ywn put down rebels with extreme prejudice

You'd be surprised what stunt people are capable of. It's like they're indestructible.

whats wrong with a bit of cocaine, acid and mdma on a night out after toppling the empire?

she was too high on deathsticks to make it to the party

Damn. When I was watching the episode I felt like the stuntwoman too obviously landed safely and I didn't believe the character would have died from that fall. But watching it now she really clearly cracks her head on the stone. How the fuck did I miss that?

Where are the aliens? Why the rebels and empire in Andor are human supremacist. How did Ackbar even become admiral

Because fuck ayyys anon

it's frankly impressive they've never bothered with this to any significant degree;

that or they're relying on 'space is too vast to actually police' but then why is there any problem with supply/etc. to begin with

This show just makes me hate the ST even more. All of this work the Rebels did just for fucking Rey "Skywalker"

I thought she landed on her bum look how red it was

Vigorously, while holding hands.

getting your skull cracked from hitting concrete is no joke.
didn't one of the space cops die the same way in the first ep before Andor put down Timon the Jew?

The French blood that runs through my veins tells me she is literally perfect

I miss this lil nigga like you wouldn't believe

Honestly, way better to be left alone on a farm than dealing with genocide and war for this little boy

It's a hard needle to thread, trying to make a serious, heavy sci Fi spy drama that heavily features aliens

I haven't been able to sleep in weeks, glubbox. I keep waking up to the screams, it's all I can think of

GLUB GLUB

Why the rebels and empire in Andor are human supremacist

holy esl

What is the logical conclusion to Dedra's arc at this point?

Job stationed on the Death Star

Syril's mom and uncle harlo will kill her.

Obviously a meaningless death to really hammer in Empire bad, but if I can dream Syril's death pushes her to move away and live out in peace. Unfortunately that would mean Hackloni turning her into a Shitto sooner or later, so as a contingency I also accept pushing her into doing one act of sabotage against ISB before dying

I don't think she'll even show up again. Maybe she'll get a comic or something but I think her role in the story is over
