People need to accept that studios don't care about an actor's appearance anymore when casting for adaptations. They only care if:

The actor is 'hot' on social media, fresh in the audience's mind (e.g. Brie Larson got an Oscar? Get her as Captain Marvel! Pedro Pascal is in Mandalorian and people like him? Get him as Reed! Florence Pugh was in Midsommar and people liked that? Get her in Black Widow!)

They act well (read: nepotism, e.g. Gal Gadot in anything)

They try to make a woke/progressive statement (cast a black guy despite the character being white, cast a fat/out of shape woman as the supposed hot character, etc.)
