OH N-

Amazon fire tvs only read usb sticks if they are FAT32. Are these niggas serious? A file system from the fucking 90s?

She loves it when I stick it in.

not plex or jellyfin

keep up grampa

Get with the times grandpa. You can access your entire pirated library on your computer straight from your tv via jellyfin

Who’s gonna save you when your former favorite creator decides to be a petty bitch and delete everything out of spite for his old fans?

4gb

What? You got lile three or four YIFY rips on there?

McMichael claimed this post was a joke.

wow I have that exact one
filled a select collection of dolphin porn

Dang I remember using that exact USB in the mid 2000s

he's based, this exact model and capacity of flash drive was my best friend in college, I might still have it
and yeah I don't care about fire tv or whatever this thread is about, I watch all my flicks in glorious 360p low bitrate blocky fuzzy splendor that has green squares when you skip backward or forward and constantly freezes with the page needing to be reloaded or buffers so I just pause them and play games or look at nudes on the other monitor

because that is the level of respect films deserve

I pick up usbs off the street and plug them into myself like the dirty SLUT i am

Just the pest

Flashdrives with literal terabytes of storage aren’t that expensive anymore, just throwing that out there

What the fuck!

I just bought a house and want to have a nice movie watching set up. The thing is, I’ve never bought a TV and haven’t owned one since my parents’ living room tube TV many years ago. What should I look for in a television? Do I need a fancy OLED (youtube tells me I do)? I’m only interested in watching movies, I don’t watch regular TV or sports and I don’t own any video game consoles. How big is too big? I will be sitting 10 feet away.
Also, what’s the recommended way to give my TV access to all the sweet MKVs I have on my PC?

you sound like you are out to scam jist because you can

what?

Nothing, I’ve said too much.

Piracy is stealing
Only niggers steal

I'm at the same position now. From my research so far all QNED tv are dog shit and Samsung frame (tv as a painting frame) is not worth it as mat layer makes them look like ass compared to other tv when they're actually playing movies. Also the top set box they require heats up telly quick and can't be hidden in a closet, defeating the main reason to get them.

t. Karen who just got done dropping her kids off at soccer practice

--4K
--At 10 feet, I would want a 65"
--Make sure it can do both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ flavors of HDR
--As many dimming zones as possible, for good blacks

Also there's Reddit 4ktv buyers guide but the cheapest option they recommend is like 750 euro.

dont forget to plug in your usb drives every couple of years to recharge them

Every other product known to man lets you try it on, test it out, or at least go to a store and look at it/touch it. But with media content it's a deceptive trailer, or worse -- a promise of "Just buy this product, bro. We promise it's good."

Literally fuck these swindlers. I will pirate everything. If something is exception and worth my money, I will then buy a physical copy. If no physical copy exists, then fuck them, I buy nothing. Cloud copies are not real. They will take it away from you eventually. Physical copy or nothing.

is this real

So when are petabyte hard drives coming out?

the stagnation in big storage for consumer is really hard on me
2,5" 5TB hard drives used to be 90-100 bucks for a decent deal now they are 115-125.

yeah

it's crrazy ay
10tb drives were $550ish in aus in 2018
ironwolf pro 10tb are $579 today

i thought i would be replacing with 30TBs by now
nb. a 24TB is $1060

what shit nation are you in WD red cost under 500$usd for 20tb. HDDs are dirt cheap, buy used on ebay if you're poor

imagine losing a petebyte drive, can not be worth the redundancy efforts to prevent it. Theres no way

Yes, with the exchange rate and shipping... I'm paying more than I would local. Genius idea.

I have an offline pc for this. I test everything first but they do show up a bit too conveniently at schools or train stops.

True, your mom let's me put in just the tip as a sample before asking for the full purchase price.

ick

Attempt to use USB stick

Doesn't fit

Flip it over

Doesn't fit

Flip it again

Works

WHAT IS THIS BLACK MAGIC?!?!?

images.jpg - 245x206, 16.13K

I think my record is flipping it six times before it fit.

youre in aussieland, youre used to getting fucked on this shit. Invest in an HDD that you can leave on 24/7 for 10 years, why cheap out on the archive. Im a few thousand into my archiving, its not about the content, I could buy it, its about preserving shit that they are going to go back and change

I just found an old stick like that a few days ago. It had a N64 emulator on it

What's your setup? I'm trying to get data stuff organized, but I'm not a techcel

*BADUM*

you’re so good with computers anon, you fix all my problems and you can get all my new shows for me before the tv. You could get a job with computers. Btw I destroyed our nation and I have insane success purely because I grew up in a time of plenty I refused to maintain because I want my investment property to be worth more. Why haven’t you found yourself a good girl yet? You just have to put yourself out there!

another Drive thread

yawn

Case: O11 DYNAMIC EVO XL (6 hdds @ 20tb) 2tb ssd OS drive
GPU: i just upgraded to a 5070ti to run some LLMs on the archive, but a 4060 would be ideal for 2-4 4k transcodes. This is acustom PC build but if you want a cheaper alternative and just direct streaming

Synology DS423+

you can do raid or not up to you, id do JBOD but that would get you like 40-80tb, can get used drives on ebay to save some coin if needed
