What's up with that fucking bear-thing man, I was really enjoying the series
i actually like the monster
Its a trash show. There's no logic, its just whatever the writer/director thinks will make the audience go "ooooo ahhhh" stopped watching the moment they killed Caesar in the most retarded way possible. Him being surrounded by armed guard, in a little hidey hole with only two entrances. Then suddenly the man bear zombie ghost polar bear pig somehow learns to fly so it can kill him. Completely 100% retarded show made for retarded people.
idk. The show is great overall, rewatching it now. But they could've included some paranormal stuff that wasn't just Giant Snow Bear with Man Face, and it would improve. It'd be more difficult for the writers though. "Big Man Bear" is easier to writer than lead poisoning/paranoia/etc.
The bear wasn’t real

reddit is that way
Which of you fapped?
is it gay to find Hickey charming?
You really think hating the show is reddit when these are your typical Terror posters?
rawr
10/10 show. Only flaw is the shitty bear CGI and design.
Why did he have this shit on his face?
I have to be honest. The first few episodes of this show really hooked me. It felt like one of those horror stories of impending doom where you know the ending is going to be a sickening display of aspects of humanity in desperation. Then the story takes a complete left turn and it turns into generic bad guy setup and fighting a magic polar bear. Serious missed opportunity here.
*of the worst aspects of humanity in desperation
He went insane
It pretty much is that.
Manbearpig has like 30 minutes of screentime total and he's mainly used as another way to put stress on the crew along with the food shortage, mutiny and cold temperature.
Edward is the only officer left. He was the one telling everyone to go back for Crozier. They're mocking him with literal chain of command.
Just go with it. Its a supernatural story.
They're doing a season 3 based on The Devil in Silver.
I read the novel in anticipation and I can't for the life of me figure out why they chose to adapt it.
It's not bad but it's not anything special either.
It has got none of the intrigue of The Terror novel by Dan Simmons.
They should've adapted Carrion Comfort.
crozier eating as fast as possible so he can't get the fuck out of there asap
I love the little details.
Led poison madness.
probably only watched the show in the first place because there was a monster
monster turns out to be the worst part
At last, I truly see.
What's up with that fucking bear-thing man
lead poisoning & hysteria, in reality it's just a normal polar bear
What's it about? What about it makes you think it isn't worth adapting?
you know the ending is going to be a sickening display
“No!”
Some crew members succumb to their baser instincts out of fear, but the wonderful thing about the show is seeing the characters who DON’T continue struggling right to the end.
Their virtue, their honor, inspires me in a way few other works of fiction manage to replicate. The creature doesn’t change that.
they've all gone mad due to the lead poisoning from the tinned food
it's deeply symbolic of white people bad
It's about a guy falsely committed to a shady psychiatric hospital that is home to a bullheaded monster. The monster isnt' actually a monster and it's just heavy handed commentary on psychiatric hospitals.
I wish Ciarán had gotten more screentime, he just makes everything he touches kino
Remember gentlemen - all cheer. An adventure for king and country! That's what we signed up for.
oh boy here we go
My biggest problem with The Terror is it never really looks that cold.
Maybe this is just because I grew up in northern Alberta but all the snow/ice looks fake, there is rarely any breath when they're outside and all the actors look comfortable enough.
Is this what you call bait?
Sums it up very well.
Half man, half bear, half pig.
Badsir.
The monster should have remained a mystery and it should have never been revealed if it was natural or supernatural.
the bear was a metaphor for the sheer fucking hubris of man.
"Hello."
walks up to you
molests your penis
"Don't forget about the second season."
made it a good ten minutes in
Does it ever get interesting?
I watched 3 episodes and it was boring the entire time
I forgot about it on purpose.
I saw that it was about asians and lost interest immediately
