We all know S1 is pure kino. But the real pleb filter is S2. S2 outed all the people who forgot True Detective was meant as an anthology series. The outcry to the kino that was S2 is how we got the dissapointing S3.

I stopped watching when the fag got killed in the underground tunnels

I like all 3 seasons.

Anyone have any coke?

S3 is garbage. There's plenty of routes they could of taken but they cheaped out at the end with the happy ending bullshit

S3 had niggers and I'm not watching niggers. Its that simple. Go ahead and report me, I'll just reset my router.

We all know S1 is pure kino.

It's not.
It's good but the characterisation is juvenile and it completely falls apart after episode 4.

Collin and Vince absolutely stole the show with their acting. Rachel McAdams was fantastic too.

S3 had a happy ending

his wife was a part of the cult and the old black man at the end was a henchman who was told to take the fall and give a fake account as to what happened
S3 is all about how the pedo elites gaslight you to make you seem insane

Thats not what I asked nigger

what's happening here

Uh, you have some pretty influental people disagreeing with you

I watched S3 like 3 times and the undertones of that were not there. I wish it was but it wasn't.

rewatch it specifically with the wife in mind as a part of the cult, "helping" her husband but throwing him off the trail

Again. I see where you are coming from but there's a noticeable split when the interviewer asks him about a sex trafficking ring and brings up Rust and Marty. Even if his wife was throwing him off the trail she was doing a pretty piss poor job. Her wanting to be involved with the police investigation to write her book however was highly suspect I will give you that.

Yeah I loved S2.

but there's a noticeable split when the interviewer asks him about a sex trafficking ring and brings up Rust and Marty

holy retard

hmmm for the first time ever let's reference a previous season

let's specifically bring up the s1 pedophile cult as well as pedophile symbols used by real pedophiles (which the s1 cult uses like the spiral etc) and the franklin trafficking case, basically the 70-80s Epstein case

but nooo this isn't to directly draw parallels it's to totally show it's not the same

(((they))) wouldn't let nic pizzagate expose the pedophile cults ever again so when he brought it up he had to have the obligatory "oh yeah that's totally not what's happening here", meanwhile the actual scene is as subtle as a sledgehammer to the teeth
bet you also believe the old black man's story about how this old rich dude had a basement locked with two doors (next to cages) that leads into a pink room designed like a child's room ONLY built for one child that they kidnapped impromptu after accidentally murdering her brother. you know, not that he's a pedophile and had a room specifically built to keep children
i bet you also believe that the girl was just drugged up in the room while the old guys daughter dressed as a princess and the old black guy dressed up as a butler while giving her drugs (have to double check but pretty sure it's the same drug they give the girls in s2 before they rape them at the mansion), and not actually the distorted POV of a drugged up little girl trying to process her trauma

Sad that Jodie Foster killed the franchise.

She did the best she could with what she was given, which was some of the worst writing in modern television.

Trvthnvke

its good because... you're a pleb!

understand why youre wife left you

know youre shit Dad

keep promising to make it right

something doesnt go your way in life/work

snap and go get drunk/ coked out your mind to get immediate release

hate yourself couple hours later

haha how do they write these characters?

remove that faggot and the woman and that would be semi-kino

I would say meds but this is all true. Again I think it was less "We don't want you talking about Pedophile rings" and more "Eh how can I subvert the audiences expectations" which was really popular at that time. Sure I could rewatch it through that lens but its simply not satisfying enough and its clear the writers only want you to view it through one lens as opposed to leaving it open.

He got filtered by Rachel McAdams

Sorry but I think you are the faggot.

Jodie Foster and the young guy were the only good thing about that season. The writer also wrote her white bad brown good script as an independent series originally and HBO fatcats decided to make it TD and shove in a bunch of hamfisted S1 references, so you cant really blame the writer either.

This the thread? What we drinking boys?

Hamms tallboys. Might chase it down with some Four Roses standard barrel.

Nice m8 I'm about to get into the $9 pinot gris. Keep putting in that work

headbanging and ghost boxing to music while alone and fucked up

he's literally me

but anon, there are 4 seasons

this.

her story line was ok, but there were just too many main characters, and Vaughn and Farrell were the best.

He couldn’t stop being gay, but he still wanted to be a family man.
I don’t think it’s necessarily portrayed as a good thing. He could never accept that part of himself, but he was a good guy either way.

season 3 had 1 good scene

im thinkin it

Childhood is thinking the characters are good because ‘Rust is the coolest!’
Adulthood is realizing he’s pretty cringe.
Ascension is realizing he’s a good character because he’s cringe.

2 sucked because it created a super intriguing setup and then went nowhere and then all the cool characters died for the womyn to have their endgame moment in the final two minutes.

Movies that scratch the same itch: Under the Silver Lake and The Counselor.

I most certainly can blame an untalented writer for creating a terrible, race-baiting script.

It's really hard to throw two punches from the same side that are so opposite in momentum (straight cross and uppercut)

If you do some shit like that against an opponent of equal skill they will likely use that opportunity in the additional time to reposition or counterpunch.

This is of course, real fighting. Sport fighting is just about using the controller setting to your advantage.

The difference between S1 and S2 is very obvious. S1 is perfect and the product of years if not decades of thought. The characters, plot, setting, music, aesthetic, etc. everything works together to improve each aspect. There's no experience like watching it because it is a complete package.
S2 is good it just suffers from predecessor syndrome. There was never anyway that something made in such a short time was going to stand up to the first season. If you think about it like this you'll get what I mean, if season 2 was actually season 1 and vice versa people wouldn't dislike season 2 so much.
The major problems with season 2 are that it is bloated and confused. All of the characters are good there's just too many of them for the sort of focus that season 1 had. The mystery is also low stakes compared to season 1.
With the same sort of development that season 1 had season 2 could've been just as great but that just wasn't in the cards.
Either way the people who treat S2 like it's on level with S1 are just as retarded as the people who think it's dog shit. S3 on the other hands is pure diarrhea.
