At that point, Frodo and Sam were already halfway up Mount Doom and on their way towards destroying the Ring. Sauron had like zero guards there, since he didn’t thing anyone would try to destroy the One Ring, so the only major difference imo would be Sauron confused as to what this nigga Aragorn could be planning.

The whole Second Age shitshow started with the Numenorans invading and colonising Sauron's domain. The same thing happened in all subsequent times. The Haradrim, the Dunlendings, and all the other allies of "evil" joined up because the so-called "Free People of Middle-earth" kept invading them.

More importantly imo is that Aragon and co. had no way of knowing if Frodo was even still alive, let alone if he was dragging the ring to mount doom as they spoke. If so, then they would’ve planned a different approach.
