remember when NASA or the CIA obviously paid them to make an episode attempting to prove that the moon landing wasn't a totally fake event.
stopped watching these sellouts soon after.
Remember when NASA or the CIA obviously paid them to make an episode attempting to prove that the moon landing...
reminder that neither of them have STEM degrees. they're hollywood hacks, not scientists.
yeah they shouldve put that in the intro of the show
The only reason to believe the moon landing was a hoax is to feel smarter than others. It's the "Deckard is a replicant" theory of conspiretards.
"Deckard is a replicant"
conspiracy
It really depends on which cut you're watching.
give me some good evidence for the moon landing being fake that isnt from some obvious idiot
Didn't that one guy molest his sister?
Americans did go to the moon, Ivan or should I say, Ranjeet. You never watched the show. You weren't even reborn yet. Your village doesn't even have tv or running water. You are posting from an internet cafe in Mumbai. You get paid in Google Play cards.
The fact the director leaned into this dumb idea means nothing.
The technology was lost
Yuri Gargarin never went to space
the technology isnt lost, the US did go back to the moon. people just stopped caring and theres no value beyond that to spend billions on
Adam "force the vaccines on kids" Savage?
imagine believing they actually went to the moon with 1950/60s aerospace and rocket technology topkek
he believes the US landed on the moon in the 60s

yeah you can totally fit a moon rover in a suitcase bro. Fucking retard
The technology to do what you ginormous retard? To stack combustive material high enough to shoot a pressure-capsule with some dudes out of orbit? No the knowledge to do that wasn't lost it's just expensive and dangerous as fuck.
Indeed
Oh fuck off. You're not a scientist, you're just talking out of your arse. Do you even realise how difficult navigation would be in space. There's literally no room for error and they supposedly did this with 60s level technology with no mistakes. They even had Nixon answer a call from the moon because that's believable, right?
Yes, because they had 1960s OHS rules.
Y we no go mar
How difficult it is to navigate in space
What? Its fucking space dickhead, what are you going to hit? The only real problems you have are radiation, carrying your environment with you and reentry.
You don't "navigate" in space you just generally aim at the big glowing ball in front of you and let its gravity catch you. It's like swimming from one side of a pool to the other with the return being even easier as it's basically falling from a very great height.
Its crazy how often this occurs IRL too.
Mother owns a couple of retirement communities, everybody thinks she has a medical degree even the doctors but nope. Just a law degree
not understanding how big space supposedly is
"just aim for the moon, bro"
You people are something else.
Secret Nazi technology and every Nasa scientist was a white male and/or a former Nazi rocket scientist.
It's 300.000 kilometers, you can see the moon every time you look up in the night sky. Why do you think it would be hard to fly in it's general direction?
Your mom inherited a bunch of old folks homes from your grand father who was a great builder and real estate investor?
ackshually half of them were nazis and the other half were jews
there were several mistakes made lol
apollo 1 or w/e astronauts died in tests
The only reason to believe the moon landing was a hoax is to feel smarter than others. It's the "Deckard is a replicant" theory of conspiretards.
Technically, “Americans” did “land on the moon” if you go by the descriptions of ancient authors.

Maybe at the 100th anniversary of no one ever going "back"someone will bother to take you up on that. It's only been 55 years so far.
Extreme midwit here. I’m not a denier, but my question is why hasn’t the consumer been able to get something to the moon yet? Considering the insane technological progress, why hasn’t someone sent a go pro to the moon and back? Surely you could get it most of the way out of the atmosphere with a weather balloon, and then push it off towards the moon, probably pretty slowly but math out a trajectory and eventually it will land there. And a return trip should be easier with basically no atmosphere and much weaker gravity.
Was that not the whole charm of the show though? They conduct civilian science just as you or I might except they had access to a far greater amount of resources to do so.
it was lost
it wasn't
we still have it
weirdos are actually fixing it and making demos of it running (all the ancient ass computers)
lol
LMAO
Let's start now.
If you fund the rocket, communications package and the workers I'll supply the go-pro. Promise.
They're either nonwhites or they're whites that have been so buck broken they'll disparage their own achievements. Both are worth regarding the same way.
It's all vectors anyway, it's not like driving. You just wait for the middle to take you there.
missile*
It wasn't misplaced, they just rushed it so quickly the documentation was bad, otherwise it's normal for engineering projects to rely on experience and a chain of careers.
Beyond that, there is no institutional motivation to go back. The contracts are cost plus, which means every year they don't launch, Boeing gets more money and senators get more money for their district. Why would they ever bother launching at all?
sent a go pro to the moon and back?
Kind of pointless when budget wise the focus is on Mars and space based observation platforms. Being the cost is still massive. It's not like the first trip makes another trip cheaper. Might as well pour that money into the new hotness VS old moon...
Two private companies have sent landers to the moon this year.
Surely you could get it most of the way out of the atmosphere with a weather balloon
Orbit is speed, not altitude. You would need something that can get up to around 28,000mph
It's worth considering why the only vehicle to ever do a lunar return was the largest rocket ever flown all the way until 2023
only vehicle to ever do a lunar return
China brought back like 4 pounds of moon rocks in 2020 and 2024. But yeah, you basically need to be a country with a ballistic missile program to get to the moon and back.
he believes the moon exists
im serious by the way, the moon doesn't exist, your all being fooled
it wasnt lost. but the suppliers and facilities to produce a million specialized parts to build a saturn5 rocket dont exist anymore.
it would take tens of billions of dollars to re-create all those industries and take a decade at least, and only to build a 60 year old rocket. so they're trying today with better technology that will make multiple launches cheaper and safer.
also, literally every apollo launch had at least 1 critical failure that would mean mission abort with today's safety standards. it was a gamble in the 60s because we were at war with the soviets. nobody in a position of authority in nasa or in the government today is willing to take that kind of risk, to let astronauts die while livestreaming from the moon, it would be a colossal disaster, so they triple check and prepare every little thing. shit takes time and there is little money and incentive to do so.
How were they able to transmit video from the Moon to Earth? That's more perplexing to me. It's pretty insane, at the time.
it was a gamble in the 60s because we were at war with the soviets
People forget that it was war. Imagine if a crew of astronauts died today, when NASA's stated goal is to get a nig and a foid to the moon. Would not win hearts and minds I imagine
They used a much slower camera for a lower bit rate and had several ground stations around the world. Otherwise radio waves just travel that far in vacuum. Most of the hardware was ground side due to mass constraints in the lander itself.
Pretty impressive of them to figure that out. The distance is just crazy to me -- again, for the technology of the time.
It's just a straight line through a vacuum. We can measure radio signals from billions of light years away. Sending them from the moon is not that different to regular communication by satellite.
Sure, from a fucking pulsar. These radio signals had to come from a ball of tin foil that only weighed 5x as much as the two people in it
