expectations?
trailer looks bonkers, could see it go either way, either kino or slop
Expectations?
Why is there so little hype for this?
I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, it might turn out closer to 28 Days Later than 28 Weeks Later
hype
dude, the manufactured panda express virus killed the theater experience and streaming services are killing the need to go theaters
everything sucks and has sucked for a while now
It looks bonkers, dudes. BONKERS!
Kill yourself.
Retard
as a Crossed ripoff it's fine
I’m setting my expectations between mediocre and bad, because:
- I thought 28 Days Later was okay, but not amazing and I thought 28 Weeks Later was forgettable slop. Adding this with the fact that this sequel is being made 2 decades after the first two, I think that the writing team won’t remember their headspace from that time and won’t have the same understanding of what made the first movie work. Another problem with the time gap is that they’re probably late to the party when it comes to introducing new / novel ideas about zombies. The movie could have a lot of cliche moments.
survives nearly 3 decades infected with a viral hemorrhagic fever that causes incessant violent psychosis
Sorry, i dont buy it. Should have left it at 28 Days.
Nah, should've gone the other way.
28 Minutes Later: an anthology series documenting how people around the world reacted to the outbreak and how they survived/died.
28 Seconds Later.
I tell you what Jim. I feel a wee bit under the weather.
I read here that they'd already greenlit more sequels
it being different is a good thing. Alex Garland is better than he was back then. I'd much rather have something with a more abstract tone.
How the fuck are the zombies alive 28 fucking years later when they're so angry all the time that they can't even be bothered to eat? That's how they died out in the first movie.
yes 28 years later is shot back to back with The Bone Temple, which is targeting Jan 2026
Asmongold became an actor?!
The trailer was good
walking dead type shite
Get the fuck out of it
Hours makes more sense unless they're short episodes in real time
How so? The real rage virus was the chink shit we inhaled along the way.
The last movie sucked ass and had no setup for sequels. Now it's 28 years later and everyone's forgotten about this slop so why the fuck would there be hype? Just because there's some old man emaciared zombies? Woopdie fuckin doozies!
Things are better than ever. Stop looking to the past. Forget the past and accept how great things are.
streaming culture was the virus all along. Is a Danny Boyle movie with an Alex Garland script and Boyle brought back all the production team of the first movie. Of course im excited but movies are DEAD, streaming killed it.
This movie has almost zero appeal to me because Crossed: Wish you were here, already exists. They should have just adapted that story (not they anyone would have the balls to do so).
Why would I want to watch a movie with a similar, but much less interesting premise?
Zombies are boring anyway. Crossed are much more terrifying and have a much greater dramatic potential.
Hell, just give me an adaptation of The Thin Red Line and The Fatal Englishman.
what game is this
Crossed
grow up from that teen shit
I watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly for the first time last night. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it actually was, despite the flaws like dubbing and bad ADR. Can you honestly tell me a film like that could ever get made today?
80% of Crossed is just edgy shit.
But there are some solid stories in there. 'Wish you were here' honestly had me teary by the end of it.
28 millisecond later
3 second movie broken into 28 millisecond scenes documenting a goldfish's experience during the outbreak
Zombies are way more fun as games. It's more about getting to safety, scavenging for supplies, defending your fortress, having a team of survivors, exploring ruins, and persevering rather than any interesting story. It's long slow and tedious, which isn't good for movies but entertaining as a game.
28 decades later
28 centuries later
How
Even when it comes to games, I think zombies are less interesting then Crossed, since they cannot think, plan, coordinate and make use of tools.
I will say that I think zombies work better in games then they do movies. But in both cases I think Crossed would be so much more terrifying and engaging.
Basically everything you can do with mindless zombies has already been done to death. Crossed have so much more potential.
The original is extremely over rated, an unconvincing third act, plus it's filled with anti-white subversion messaging/symbolism. This sequel is too little, too late, and on top of that we're still reeling from zombie oversaturation. I have zero interest.
They should have named 28 months later
Several autists will refuse to watch this movie thanks to it's name
28 minutes later would have actually been a worthwhile movie.
Watching London and eventually all of the UK fall to the infected would have been worth a trip to the cinemas.
IT'S GOING TO BE SHIT. IM NOT SEEING IT.
WOKE
COMMIE
GARBAGE.
I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYTHING NEW BECAUSE ITS SHIT.
liking crossed is a great indication that nobody should ever listen to your opinion on anything whatsoever
dogshit comic
filled with anti-white subversion
Please tell us more.
Great rebuttal
i assume this has tons of retcons? zombies starve to death in a few months
Garland
yawn
sometimes its funny
HORSECOCK
The last movie sucked ass and had no setup for sequels.
I agree it sucked, but c'mon anon it ended with zombies reaching mainland Europe, anything could've happened from there in terms of future movies.
it's been 23 years since the first movie irl, I think it's close enough to use "28 years" without being too cheeky
I want to get hyped but the skull towers/ bone walls look retarded
Should have been named 29 weeks later
first film I've been excited for since Furiosa and the first I'll see in theaters since Fury Road. also taking 5 or 6 friends along to do my part for the box office
this could be so cool. done correctly it could go for seasons. clear-cut anthology series with a different protagonist each episode in various parts of the world. the creative limits are endless
Retcons are inevitable.
But presumably they are going for a natural selection and dynamic equilibrium thing with the zombies. I assume the zombies we see are surviving by having adapted to eat wild animals and perhaps their own kind that are no longer effective. Zombies that lacked the impulse to eat simply died out and what remained and spread were those that did.
The really annoying thing is that they are just a tease for the next film. So I doubt we will see much more of them in the movie then we have in the trailers.
if you're talking about the WM/BF it feels totally organic. Selena is a believable character through and through and I consider her amongst the sparse ranks of actually good strong action heroines.
either kino or slop
I have no idea what this movie about (looks like zombie shit) and won't ever watch it but you know slopkino is a thing, right?
True.
the infected eventually build a tolerance to the catecholamine dumping effects of the virus or their nervous system wanes in its ability to process them so their desire to drink and eventually eat as they become slightly less insane/volatile
I buy it.
I think it looks awesome but too clean. I know bones get bleached in the sun but they lack the mottled color you would expect from a real bone monolith
* is about
The Bone Temple
its going to turn out that the zombies have discovered religion
heckin' fedora tipping Alex Garland metaphor incoming
screencap this post lolololol
This hype has slop written all over it.
the immediate followup sequels are off-putting and also directed by a retard
will illegally stream at best
The Last Of Us: Part 3
you play from the infected POV, it turns out they just want to be loved.
The Biker and The Hippy story is literally just a feature length film made into a comic, just adapt that one to introduce people into Crossed.
1st movie looked like shit. Could never watch more than 20 minutes. Can I just start with the 2nd movie?
everything produced by him after ex machina except devs is utter shit
Zoomers weren't born when the first one happended. There is no market for this shit.
It's been done. That's literally just World War Z which was far better and made far more sense. The zombies need to be slow and difficult to kill for them to be any threat. Rage zombies are nothingburgers since they starve, dehydrate and bleed out.
No. You're not allowed to watch. Go back to your comic book movies.
Leaving in bongland is already a horror movie by itself
Is that Cillian Murphy?
Zombies are boring as shit. Everything you can do with them has been done million times already.
