You gotta suspend your disbelief and think that nogs are intelligent enough to do their drug trades, turf wars, etc. like a game of chess. The reality, which has become so much more apparent in the past five years, is that niggers are just aggressive monkeys with little thought process behind those dead eyes, so obviously this shit didn't age well.

that's literally how it's portrayed in the show though, there's a couple of high up dealers like prop joe and stringer who want to just quietly do business because it's the violence and dead bodies that bring more attention from the police, but pretty much everyone else can't help but chimp out wanting to be tough guys and 'soldiers' fucking everything up constantly. and stringer gets exposed as not being as smart as he thinks he is when he tries to go legit and gets taken advantage of.

It's a show about police in Baltimore. That is just what it's like. It's like watching Star Trek and complaining that there's too many scenes with spaceships.
