Recast Jyn
Looking forward to read about the ISB cranium boop technique on wookiepedia in a few years.
I didn't expect Kleya would have to go through so much bullshit
is something else coming?
why i find her hot?
I wouldn't recast her.
it's yennefer bruv
Kalkite cape
I guess Kleya isn't Leia
I keep forgetting that. The actress would look good with darker hair tbqhfamalam
Kaitlin Dever as young Jyn.
The flashbacks were just false memories, planted in there by Luthen.
Secret gray sith technique.
If we believe hard enough
They're kindred spirits at least, except Kleya seems to have lost all hope
because you're a brain-damaged narrative-pushing drone
welp time to replay this shit i guess
because no other half decent sw content exists
if you have them on steam, each game has a guide in the guide section on how to run on modern hardware + fixes
I'll wait until Zero Company comes out
oh yeah i guess SWTOR is also ok for the class stories, shit gameplay but the stories are really good. if you want indiana jones in space play sith inquisitor.
based
the nu respawn SW games are pretty kino, unironically
Stormtrooper armor is designed to amplify blaster bolts so the Empire doesn't have to pay them a pension
Saw her nudes. She have a goat tier ass
05 battlefront 2
Careful anon.
Bix's ass is stupid big
did luthen kill him to tie up loose ends, or was he also pissed lonni didn't mention he had dedra's access earlier?
the former imo
"what have you sacrificed?"
fucking kills him after trying to get his family off the planet and revealing the Death Star
I just took it as loose ends, For Luthen evacuating Lonni and his family is something that is too much effort / he cannot easily pull-off without endangering himself and Kleya, and it is not as if Luthen actually gives about Lonni.
Beau Gadsdon
Gilroy is the exact opposite problem of Filoni where he seems to actively recoil at putting star wars in his star wars story and the narrative/writing isn’t compelling enough to warrant the lack of pewpews and weird ayylmaos and a Lucasian sense of aesthetic.
But the plot isn’t immediately retarded and half the cast, to their credit, do the best with what they’ve got.
I'd like to think, if Luthen managed to clear up his office in time, and make it out of there, he would've fixed an escape for Lonni's family at least.
Not necessarily though.
loose ends. sad really
acceptable
Gilroy doesn't even like Star Wars. There were some very Bourne trilogy esque scenes
Fuck I wish we could see a U-Wing again. I love them so much.
Dogshit show. Dogshit finale. Dogshit writing.
let me shoot a guy in the middle of a public square on the planet of trillions in broad daylight!
my exit plan is slowly pouring acid over critical evidence that could burn the entire rebellion
I know ISB is on my ass, I better go open the door, and not spend extra 5 seconds to finish burning the radio!
I don't have the entire shop rigged with explosives in case of an emergency!
In fact, I don't have any kind of dead man's switch in case of an emergency!
even though I was established as a super careful and planning guy, whose motto is "plan your way out before you get in"
I don't have the cyanide pill, like all the imps do, in case of getting captured
I won't try to stab this woman, who I know is a humongous threat to everyone and everything I care about
all of this, because I need to generate fake tension and the plot needs to happen for another episode before we go into the dogshit Rogue One movie
I can't believe you unironic goycattle slurp this slop up.
what is even the point of the wings
retard
Filoni is time to turn off the computer
Missed opportunity to introduce suppressed blasters. Kleya was just blasting dudes and no one heard it
no ahsoka cameo
isb rolling out in the safehouse apartments was kino
same as that shot of k2 chilling
Aerofoil stabilization
seething fagloni
I’m being generous and not just immediately saying that outright because, again, people will just think you’re on the opposite end of the spectrum where YOU JUST WANT CAMEOS AND LIGHTSABERS AND BLARGEN and the reality is both approaches suck ass but in wildly different ways that still ultimately hit the same conclusion, but at least one is occasionally fun to look at.
To give a more apologetic explanation, it means that ISB will protect Lonni's family rather than go after them. They can present him as a martyr who got killed by rebels rather than a spy who leaked data to them.
kill yourself jew
Heat dissipation in space, atmosphere stabilisation in atmosphere, weapon stabilisation.
none of the soldiers have imperial gear, I think Luthen was either a merc, or some republic soldier (not all were clones)
it was obvious that the point of the flashback is to show why and how luthen switched sides and started fighting against the empire with his newfound "daughter"
No Imperial ever gets pardoned, either the easy way out (Partagaz) or the long way in a prison.
No Imperial ever gets pardoned
There's a mando episode specifically about that. The New Republic has an amnesty program where they pardon and put on parole certain ex-imperials.
Are the last 3 episodes honestly this bad?
The previous ones have been awful so far especially with syril dying but not before changing his entire character.
Having the entire season 2 based on Switzerland world just seems retarded.
Let's not forget the stupid shit with 3 people being assassinated at a Senate yet these rebels escape with ease
Just finished Rogue One
It fucking sucks
Might as well call it Krennic's Humiliation Ritual
Cassian doesn't have it all that well either with Jyn hogging the spotlight
What did people even feel towards this guy without the context of Andor
Are the last 3 episodes honestly this bad?
No, he's just a butt blasted retard who hates screws and bricks.
Why is Saw Gerrera so crazy? What does he really even do? Does he just randomly attack imperial basses and shit?
checked btw
he was just another imperial big baddie for me at the time
Nothing. I didn't feel anything for him after watching 24 episodes of Blandor either. He is a complete non-character charisma void.
rhydo
annoy rebels & imperials alike
yes
Andor S02E10 is the peak Andor and the best Star Wars in a long time. Yeah, the last 2 episodes fall down in quality because they focus more on Blandor and the rest of boring rebels insisting to tie in with the Rogue One, but there's a screen time for K2 droid which is cool
he huffs starship fuel and hates spies
He was a terrorist against the separatists and just kept doing it after the Empire formed, because he got his sister killed and feels driven by guilt and exposure to toxic fumes that have damaged his brain
Finished Rogue One. It was kinoplex even with all the forced fan services. I want more Gilroy and less Filoni
In RO, Krennic was literally just a cartoon villain that gets bullied by Vader and Tarkin and Andor was just a random Rebel agent. Its why everyone was confused when the show got announced because he was such a random character to get a spin off show about him.
Yeah. They are rushed hackjob and speedrun their way to Rogue One. Only braindead redditors and twitter tourists defend this crap, because they have no brain, and they get mesmerized by the characters talking without saying much, hence they can't keep track of what is actually happening - which is not much, and all of it is poorly plotted and sloppily written.
huffing on rhydonium
Rogue One is shit
Let's not forget the stupid shit with 3 people being assassinated at a Senate yet these rebels escape with ease
Yeah it's weird the star destroyers didn't stop Andor from escaping the senate.
Because she's smart, her bloodline must therefore have large brains, which means large craniums, which means broad hips to accomodate the child during birth. And broad hips = hot.
She would be the hottest foid if Kleya was older, Kleya only claims top spot due to being in her 20s
Why is Saw Gerrera so crazy?
she's more then just acceptable
How does someone so hideously ugly get a job in acting, and who the fuck wants to see that things and its growths?
I'm not into cameo shit, but seriously, if you remove the Luthen flashbacks and reveal that she is Leia when she ties her hair up... fuck, it would have been an absolute kino scene.
He's a waste of screen time, that's what he does
So the last 3 episodes are an improvement over the previous shit ones?
Because the paid for bots and redditors shitting up the previous threads about how great the Ghor massacre was and how epic cinema it was was enough to want chicken jockey 2 to happen to this place
If Luthen has genuinely has changed character and become a retard like syril then it's just more proving the story was rushed because they cut 5 seasons into 2
I liked the guy because seeing your life's work getting pulled out from under you and not getting the recognition you would have gotten, is a somewhat familiar one. Tarkin pretty much stole credit after Krennic put the effort into making the Death Star a reality.
As much as I want to like the last three ep, he's right. There's a lot of dumb shit going on. Kleya can bomb a parking lot easily for a distraction after loosing all of their shit, and Luthen does not have an escape plan is a legit complain. I really thought after killing all the idiots he no longer needed, he's going to blew the whole district down to protect his rebel army easily. But then, nothing.
didnt krennic say in andor that he met with the emperor personally?
Alright lads the final 3 eps were certified kino.
imp tl-50 blaster (heavy repeater from old JK games), imp trooper pouches, armor and rebreather
droid is immune to blaster fire in andor
same model of droid dies from 1 shot of blaster in rogue one
One is a boilerplate flowery political speech which boils down to "Lies are bad." The other is still being talked about 20 years later because it features two incredibly original characters (Jar Jar and Palpatine) delivering immortal lines that only one man could write.
Are you really telling me that when we let truth go by the wayside, we cede the narrative to whichever person yells the loudest? Wow, I've never heard it put quite that way before. These writers are incredible...This is literally just regurgitating language and rhetoric that you'd have to be a zombie not to have absorbed in some fashion over the past 10 years. Then they put it in the Star Wars show so you'd clap. It's just not original! There should be more than this.
And to be clear, the AOTC scene includes basic lines like: "I love democracy. I love the Republic." Yet everyone can hear these lines in their head! That's proof of how well-constructed the scene is on a *cinematic* basis. Neither scene is great literature, but one thinks it is! These could be perfectly acceptable lines for the purpose of supporting a cinematic narrative, but everyone involved obviously believes this writing is itself the accomplishment. But here I can say objectively, it is neither saying anything new nor saying it in an innovative way.
So where am I left with this speech as the centerpiece and, really, only matter of real interest in the episode? If I'm not impressed by the literary qualities of the writing, then I have little else to cling onto aside from how terribly Important it all is.
Check torrents
Torrents not out
What?
no more comfy imperial board meeting scenes
Nobody can refute this btw
Krennic was great because he was thoroughly villainous while also being realistic. Not an all-powerful space wizard, just a power-hungry asshole who thinks he's the shit but can't compete with the real big boys.
the ISB tactical agent taskforce were really competent, why weren't they used earlier ?
what shit site are you checking
I love villains at a table.
Such great scenes.
Why Jar Jar Binks did it?
yep, it was a good sendoff
he doesn't become retard, he becomes aware he's overstayed his welcome on coruscant for years, and he's aware he's going to die
"Where the fuck's my nitrous"
my personal favourite character.
What if they subvert our expectations and replace Felicity with an even older actress?
Lots of filler in them too
my guess: this is JUST after the empire being made, Luthen was a republic soldier, explain the different uniforms
So, why did Paratagaz kill himself? That's the only thing that feels out of left field to me. Was he being arrested because the Death Star leaked through ISB? At that point, though, wouldn't the ISB just get even more fucked up?
It just feels like the ISB would have imploded completely, especially once Yularen dies. I'm amazed Bothans even had to die to uncover Death Star 2.
Empire lore is what makes Andor great, not the crappy rebel filler
I regret listening to anons saying to watch Rogue One after the finale. Would have been better to just imagine them not flying off straight into a mid ass movie.
So is Rogue 1 like a few days after this?
heavy repeater from old JK games
damn nigga what an eye
I still haven't seen Rogue One except for the space battle. I feel like I probably shouldn't watch the whole thing and it won't live up to Andor
So, why did Paratagaz kill himself?
I cannot protect you anymore Lio
Take a wild guess.
next hours
Akwafina
mid ass movie
it's shit
But the man with an exit plan before hes even entered a situation has......no plan?....
He just forgets the situation and what he's capable of and does nothing
Two of his Supervisors got killed, three fucked up completely, and the Death Star got leaked. He would be held accountable for everything Dedra Meero did and more.
Where the fuck were the Bothans????
many died
If you're checking EZ there are like a dozen proxies and people only use one of them
he has to answer to the emperor him for dedra being all gung ho
the botched raid on the tracker
doesn't even make sense, krennic has nothing to do with ISB

Dedra, Blevin, and Lagret?
he had an exit plan, lonni's action and dedra's diligence made the time window too small
cant believe luthen exists in the same universe as jar-jar, he'd probably shoot him on sight
Didn't he get told he had to meet with Sheev in person after countless fuckups? Not a bad idea to just blow your brains out.
DELLOW FELAGATES
Rogue One is to Andor what El Camino is to Breaking Bad
One of his supervisors was a Rebel Spy who leaked information on the DS. Another one was accessing confidential information she should not have access which caused the DS info to leak in the first place to and fucked up the arrest of Luthen. And the final one also fucked up an arrest and died in the process.
Because this would have been his next meeting.
The Bothans stole the plans for the second Death Star
yeah, and that's the best case scenario for the next meeting
He couldn't even shoot Meero. Little cuck stabbed himself like a little bitch. Jar Jar has more balls than that cuck.
If Kleya had black, or blonde, or red hair, people would have never put any sort of connection together.
There's no way she could, or should, be Leia. Leia is full of hope and vigor and life, and a symbol for the rebellion. Kleya is completely broken and dragging herself through the mud to try and make something happen.
How many Bothans?
MANY.
That doesn't sound like a plan at all.....
This is a guy who usually has 4-5 different scenarios played out so that he can pick one incase the others fail.
Here - does nothing and becomes badly written
ARG1 : Yellow-plated and mechanically straightforward, ARG19 or “Aggie” is a loyal droid on Mina-Rau. She is just happy to spend time with newcomer and best friend B2EMO.

LAGRET
he says over and over the time for good plans was long gone, wishing he teleports out of the surrounded building is wishing for capeshit
Nah, Jar Jar will be on the Imperial side.
I'd like to think he got the Rommel treatment. They basically had him kill himself but present it as dying of natural causes, given a state funeral and all that. They still kept his image clean with only those in the real high positions knew what happened.
when the Ghorman massacre trauma kicks in
IS THAT GLUB SHITTO??
Rogue one is very reddit compared to this show
Yes, pardoned by New Republic. I meant in the Imperial era. Zero room for fuck ups.
Could have been a kino movie if not for it coming out during the peak of quip shit
I think they made the Imperials job a little too much in the last few episodes.

I don't think we get a single scene of Imp's actually having solid intel and a lead to take out a guy that isn't completely rushed and off the cuff.
When they finally do they send in the spooks
When do the Cal Kestis games happen? Before or after this show?
natural causes
he was having a case of the space-mondays

I have hope for more surprise kino, if Andor could exist, so can others
but when? that's the question
Rogue One really isn't very good. It has good parts but it's not near Andor quality
krennic has nothing to do with ISB
He literally graduated ISB academy with Lagret
Jar Jar was on the bridge on Naboo that Luthen blew up
years from now
I thought the same thing, I thought maybe I misremembered and it had bad reception, but it has an average 4/5 stars pretty much everywhere.
I would say it's an above average star wars movie that came out during an era of pure garbage.
If it had some better editing and writing it would've been excellent
Are you joking? Because Rogue One is utter crap
Wish we saw more Melshi, dude was a total bro
He warned her
IDK many, Ahsoka has potential. There was a really solid throughline with Shin Hati and Darth Titus or whoever, and they managed to depict Thrawn and his elite but rundown crew very well.
Probably they couldn't have brought in Thrawn right from the start, but now that he's in it, and we've seen that they get the Thrawn vibe, they have every chance to make it kino.
Fagloni is never going to do anything at this level stop kidding yourself
He's so hard to recognize. I thought he was just some guy in this arc.
Depends on if Disney is willing to go outside the perview of Filoni. Ironically, it very much seems like Kennedy insolated Gilroy from Filoni. I just think the next big thing after the Mando movie is Thrawn. They are going to try and repackage HTTE and I just don't think it's gonna land.
I barely remember anything about it, watching it back when it came out. Rewatched it after the show's finale and it just came off as underwhelming.
ahsoka was shit and the main problem (the writing) isnt being fixed in season 2 because its the same writer (filoni himself)
apparently the script was so unclear at times that the actors for certain extras had no real sense of direction in some scenes
It just feels like the ISB would have imploded completely, especially once Yularen dies
In both Legends, and the new canon, I believe that's basically what happens. In Legends they get supplanted by Imperial Intelligence. Don't know about canon except that the ISB loses imperial favor after the Death Star fiasco.
Imagine being Zahn and getting another chance to write Thrawn and he gets stuck in a shitty kids show and Wolfman slop
krennic is off in his lil stardust project, beyond ghorman being a multipronged operation, nobody in ISB reports to krennic
krennic being able to protect partagaz would only fall under ghorman related stuff
partagaz fucked up with dedra, if he didn't know what lonni was up to regarding the axis file, and the subsequent shitshow
so nothing to do with ISB
Thrawn in Ahsoka is retarded and does nothing but get his ass kicked
Because in the Empire, when you get whacked, it's your best friend that sets you up. Paragatz knew this, and knew if he would of went to the meeting, he wasn't coming out. It was between the imperials, real dark side shit.
How can I go back to watching Fagloni slop after the kino that is Andor?
I love her.
Canon
Krennic is supposed to be Imperial Intelligence, iirc. So ISB and Imperial Intelligence have pretty close ties.
Filoni has the brain of a child who LOVED TCW movie. Do they really need to get Sam Witwer in the writing room to tell Filoni he's a fucking idiot at this point?
Leia is full of hope and vigor and life, and a symbol for the rebellion.
it's a television series with a different tone. i'm sure some of the cartoons have the same characters and they're canon, but written differently.
look at the Doctor Who reboot: had Torchwood for the adults, same characters would pop up and talked about sex a bit more. "in universe" Leia has surely cried, witnessed/committed horrific acts of violence, had tense political negotiations, lost her virginity as an awkward teenager, and played some enjoyable games of space monster chess.
she's still the fairytale princess too, at the end of the day.
It's a good movie, they just didn't have the time to develop their characters.
Mads kino
Saw's rebels acting like terrorists
the destruction of Jedha
The rebellion not just being the good guys
the battle of Scarif
the idea of the giant space gate
the hammerhead ship pushing the star destroyer into another one
the Vader scenes (yes)
K-2SO
Krennic was finally a good new imperial character
my disappointment was that luthen was an actual nobody sarge, grifting war loot
He's just delegated poorly. He probably has good ideas and probably has some sort of decent visionary direction.
But he's a tard, and needs a full time tard wrangler like Favreau in order to shear his ideas and keep them pointed, and focused.
It seems obvious they saw the success of Mando Season 1 which was a huge passion project between him, Favreau, all the directors, and even Kennedy, and then decided to give him the reigns for the forseeable future.
In other words he's a fat fucking nerd and shouldn't have nearly as much power as he does
Sagrona !
Why is there never a 3rd group? Like irl there would for sure be a 3rd faction trying to play both sides for their own goals.
even when she smiles it looks like she's frowning
I forget, who was the old woman loading boxes at the end again?
Why'd they show this dweeb at the end
So moustache-man was concerned for his wife and kids, but then he had a gay affair? wut.
Sculdun
Those are the other Imperials. You could even see it with Heert trying to throw Dedra under the bus, or Dedra getting Ferrix because of Blevin.
Do they really need to get Sam Witwer in the writing room to tell Filoni he's a fucking idiot at this point?
he already tried that, he backed down when filoni told him some nonsense about myths and fables and whatever so that retcons are fine
I'm gonna miss these lil niggas like you wouldn't believe.
It's over, even the tone of Rogue One doesn't feel right anymore.
The force healer lady
MAKE IT STOP
Luthen just being fucked up from constant war crimes makes enough sense to me
How did you even last this long? I stopped after Mando season 2.
Honestly the OT + Andor/Rogue One are the only worthwhile ones.
mustache man now refers to the leader of the ineffectual stormtrooper raid. update your passwords.
"revisionist"
Rogue One was never good, and it disgusts me how RO apologists are all "wow Andor makes RO even better"
fuck that
krennic being able to protect partagaz would only fall under ghorman related stuff
Or by his inner connections within Imperial bureaucracy
partagaz fucked up with dedra
nothing to do with ISB
was that naboo?
wat?
Yep
partagaz fucked up with dedra
nothing to do with ISB
Or by his inner connections within Imperial bureaucracy
ok ok i get now hen you put it like that
Props to that young Kleya actress, hard to find a child actor who doesn't fucking suck
Krennic won't protect Partagaz anymore
Continues to look out for his bro Lagret
Blandor:
4m40s scene. Cassian dumps a bunch of exposition about the Death Star that we already know and won't pay off in this show's narrative. They argue for 2 minutes about Luthen's trustworthiness. Bail Organa monologues about all the reasons Luthen is untrustworthy.
Nothing of strong narrative interest or importance is happening in this scene! The dialogue isn't particularly scintillating, and the character dynamics have to do with issues we've litigated a gazillion times already. Why are we burning time like this in the last episode?
The Phantom Menace:
3m30s scene. We establish the slave transmitters, the lack of Republic presence, explain podracing, Jedi reflexes, Qui-Gon reveals he's a Jedi, his death is foreshadowed, Anakin reveals his dream to be a Jedi, Qui-Gon's suspicions become apparent, and we set up the gambling plan.
It is very difficult to do all this exposition and character development in a 3m30s scene in a way that seems natural and can also hold an audience's interest. Lucas is an extremely skilled screenwriter in this regard. He knows exactly what he intends to do in every scene. People focus a lot on what they perceive to be clunky dialogue and miss how superhumanly keyed in Lucas has to be on the extremely complex mix of themes, character, plot, and exposition that has to happen at a very rapid pace in almost every scene. I think the cleverest trick in this scene is the way we transition from the talk about slave transmitters and anti-slavery laws directly to podracing--Anakin is visibly embarrassed by the slave talk and decides to change the subject to something more flattering.
Sorry, in my brain he was Darthy Dyer.
Forever my top 2 Disney SW characters.
not reading all this gay shit but for a show that ends one hour in universe before a movie that come out 10 years ago they did a pretty good job
Don't know why he just insisted on blowing his brains out
It's bad luck Ghorman I'm afraid :^)
Didn't know Kevin Smith was here
He still did his best to elevate thrawn above that in the nucanon books, but they still lack an edge that the original HTTE trilogy had.
E10 is unironically one of the top 10 best TV episodes I've ever seen
I was kinda drunk when I watched it though
If he didn't do that, best case scenario he's with Dedra building widgets for the Death Star II until he dies.
It was that or get force choked
I'm so lonely
she was good. shame that the flashbacks didn't accomplish anything beyond telling us that Luthen was once in some non-specific Imperial force.
Thanks. Forgot about that.
Cooler Liveaction Isaard that doesn't get outwitted by his retard daughter
yummy
Tummmyyyy
It was suicide or be executed
Its kinda cringe when you remember space wizards like Darth Vader exist in this universe.
Moustache-man told Luthen he wanted protection for his wife and kids while doing all the double-crossing.
He helped the gay imperial guy get a promotion, then went out with him for dinner. In one of these last episodes, they said something about how they were "more than friends".
So he's risking his family life with all the subterfuge, but he has no qualms about a gay love affair? I'm not judging - that's just what he's into. Still can't help but feel he should have set his feelings aside there, even if Gay Imp was the love of his life.
they really aren't good enough to avoid being disappointing after the last three.
When will there be sexy scenes with nudity in Star Wars? They said 'shit' in Andor so its only a matter of time
why was the black woman so irate and smug?
it's old-fashioned in-universe. some silly old religion. probably quotas.
kill yourself
Darth Vader is still the biggest character in movie history, 48 years after his introduction
Blandor will be forgotten in a month
Who the fuck even was she?
Some senator I assume
Blandor will be forgotten in a month
I'll recommend it to everyone for as long as I live to people who like Star Wars
he was the lowkey winner of the series
really though it's just because the show generally had no idea how to satisfyingly conclude things for the vast majority of its characters
Like every other single form of Fantasy media, wizards are best when they are far and few between.
Designated R.E.T.A.R.D.E.D rebel leader whom never gets removed despite utter incompetence
I get using the blue Mon Calamari again but why not have just use Akbar in Rogue One and in this?
A black, single mother. The Jedi got nothin' on her.
What kind of retard would think this?
my first thought as well, this board has ruined me
still don't buy that the Death Star had an INTENTIONAL flaw as a trap. it's a fantasy magical thing so whatever, but i always took as just
we have the plans.
we have FOUND a flaw.
some intentional backdoor explosion exploit just makes that worse, not better. what other events that just happened are going to be revised as, actually, justasplanned.jpg?
based. I'll make sure he reads this.
I think he gets killed at Scarif when Vaders Star Destroyer rocks up.
1. because he dies in the battle of Scarif
2. more than one character is not necessarily bad
with this character's death, the thread of prophecy is severed. restore a saved game to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed world you have created
Senator Tynnra Pamlo. A senator from the ancient world of Taris, Tynnra Pamlo serves as the Alliance's Minister of Education
ayo we wuz tarisian educators n shiet
If they use more than one Mon Calamari it gets the point across that they're all in on the Rebellion.
Ye that's Raddus. Then in The Last Jedi the ship they're in is called the Raddus.
RIP in peace
dei hire
Is Jar Jar secretly a genius? Think about it. He's the reason the emperor is in power. Sheev has to have rewarded him. Notice how he just disappears afterwards. He's living like a king on some secluded world.
actually my main issue with Rogue One, the built in flaw feels unnecessary.
Getting the plans and layout works well enough for a movie, doesn't need to be an inside job.
until filoni decides that he actually survived and puts him in some gay cartoon
Taris
There was an annoying black woman? I only remember the one who helped Andor steal the ship, with the "That's no moon" ass
Tummy chads will rule the world. We're the least perverted of all the fetishes
She's from fucking Taris
Sounds like those privileged fucks need another orbital bombardment. Darth Malak was right
huge battle stations tend to not be made with built-in features that makes them randomly blow up. unless they're made by Russia, obviously.
living like a king
IIRC Jar-Jar became a homeless street entertainer on the lower levels of Coruscant. Pretty sure he was hated too. Wouldn't be surprised if some pissed Republic loyalists found and shanked him in an alley
Imagine being from Taris lmao
Rogue One is complete slop. Andor is slop. Both non-canon fanfiction.
Yeah in the last episode, a senator or something on Yavin.
I have no webms of her though, I only have a webm of the african queen Niya.
Watching Rogue One and the pace feels so weird and fast compared to Andor.
bomber Karath, do it again
Why did Luthern do my boy Lonni like that? Lonni was a good guy. He was a legit good guy.
Rogue 1 cameo.
so true
Had major writing and editing problems and was miraculously saved by the director
It was the only way to guarantee his family's safety.
Cool fanfiction bro. Only the movies and shows matter thoughever.
why the fuck do they need a ministry of education
SAW WAS RIGHT
THEY'RE ALL LOST
it's not a well-paced movie. it's more a sign of how ridiculously slow-paced all but the best episodes of Andor are.
Top Tier:
Andor (except for every Bix scene after she gets arrested on Ferrix)
Good Tier:
Rogue One, original Trilogy
Mid Tier:
Prequels

Everything else

ON PROGRAM
real-life failures do happen. the Challenger blew up after Star Wars came out.
i remember some guy going big on YouTube in the 2000s because he pointed out some US aircraft carrier he was on had blind spots in the security cameras, and his superiors didn't listen to him. bit weird as far as whistleblowing goes, but i suppose it was something enemy soldiers could have taken advantage of (or he certainly believed as much).
they get the plans, someone finds a hole they didn't account for, that's enough. doesn't have to be some deep agent intentional killswitch. as the other anon said, it all still works perfectly fine if they're just trying to get the plans, but i guess it gives Rogue One more of a 'hook' and makes Mads Erso a hero.
I literally watched it 1 hour ago and already forgot about the negress senator LOL, so boring
It got mauled by cuts
good morning, how many i direct your call?
Skeleton Crew is good, Mando 1 is excellent, Mando 2 is ok and Mando 3 is bad
Top Tier:
Andor (except for every Bix scene after she gets arrested on Ferrix)
Good Tier:
Rogue One
lol
lmao even
Go be a goy on reddit.
X-wing/TIE-fighter games are good
wrong picture
that doesn't really make any sense because this is the Empire and they would use a "torture first, ask questions later" approach. but whatever, Luthen dies almost immediately too so fuck it.
Good lord is that really her??
it's from her insta
Acts smug as fuck dismissing Luthen's warning about the Death Star
In Rogue One, once they find out about the Death Star she starts immediately folding saying they have no chance
Apparently she's from Taris
Not surprised one bit
We need a baker. Roger Roger.
also luthen kinda kicked her ass verbally when dedra showed up at the shop
They needed to have some scenes showing Dedra Meero going nuts prior to personally meeting Luthen, it didn't make sense
He could easily have shot her like Lonnie for all she knew.
it was an intentional design flaw that would trigger a chain reaction. by calling it a "kill switch" you are framing the issue in a way that makes it sound less plausible, then agreeing with your own framing.
it does feel like a series of vignettes. Star Wars films originally only had a couple of planets each. maybe it's the real life passage of time, but Tatooine was established and they could have never gone back to it. Jabba was just some slug gangster Han works for, then he dies.
it's not like they DON'T explain them, but they needed to let say, Jedha and the Che Guevara man breathe a little bit more. fuck the Death Star plot, i want to know about those.
I honestly like nubattlefront 2. It still has an active user base. They made it good finally after a shit launch just to abandon it to make fucking battlefield 5, so now all promotional star wars content is relegated to fortnite.
Le Tomate
Contrarianism Syndrome. Welcome to Anon Babble.
New bread
skeleton crew is so juvenile though, made for literal children
watched it the other day because some anon in another andor thread talked about jude law's character and he seemed interesting, but the way the plot is structured around the children and just the writing was so predictable, really wasn't on par with other star wars stuff, not to mention andor... shame because production design was really good, great costumes and sets
i understand it, anon. and they snappily explain it in the dialogue by calling it a "trap" and so on. my issue is that it IS intentional.
WE know it's a bit of a retcon, as a piece of writing. but i think simply not writing it in would have been better. the Rebellion wanted those plans, someone did acquire them, still. that's more than enough motivation, a driving force, very VERY clear goal for the characters in the film.
Jyn and her dad are original characters so it's not like they had to fit it into some continuity. he could even still be a good guy who dislikes the Empire and loves his daughter, i just think intentionally sabotaging the project was a dumb piece of writing (a smart thing to do in-universe). i'd compare it to the secret backdoors in your operating system. when really, it was just an oversight. even goes to show the Empire were a bit cocky, rather than actively being tricked. it's the Rebels who save the day, not some engineer working behind the scenes.
for what purpose?
anon discovers that TV shows are 9 hours long and movies are 2 hours
Not him but I wanted to add. Ultimately, the fact that the exhaust port just makes the entire moon size station completely and instantly desintegrate is my issue with it. Had it just caused a massive system failure that blew up sections of the Death Star to later be repaired and be operational in RotJ, it would have flower much better instead of having the Empire try to build another Death Star. It would have made Erso's sabotage more believable, it would have made getting the plans and seeing where the flaw was make more sense. It just makes the whole thing silly in hindsight that he was able to put in this critical flaw that is so big that two laser shots would completely delete the Death Star.
the way forward is clearly to do Andor show but with a dash of jedi slop
aka do Jedi knights: jedi outcast
GIVE US KYLE KATARN ALREADY WE KNOW ITS INEVITABLE DISNEY YOU FAT PIG-MOUSE FUCKS, WE KNOW YOU LIKE MONEY
shoehorn in that kyle is andor's wife's son or something
this star wars shit is NEVER going to end, its just a matter of time
The flaw was so minuscule that only a Force user could accurately hit it. Erso's sabotage was likely him increasing the safety factor for the required exhaust, ensuring that the vent would theoretically be just large enough to allow for the possibility of a successful torpedo strike. But seeing how he wan't a miliary man, the size was still too small for standard targetting computers.
They have completely different personalities.

Would you find it more believable if the design flaw was accidental? The plot hole is in ANH.
If it was accidental, with the knowledge that it would create a critical failure completely disabling it then yeah. However, a "shoot the hole and it all blows up" angle is what bothers me.
Rogue One is the only good neo-sw
