The Truman Show

What do you think happened to Truman after the film ends?

Big drop. He falls.

He died on his way out of the studio.

He was shot dead on his way out of the studio

Lawsuits. They settle out of court.
He gets oneshotted by an ayahuasca trip in Peru. Becomes a raving schizo.
Dies from autoerotic asphyxiation.

He won the contest for EdTV.

This is the same world where you can hold someone hostage in a dome for 29 years. Is he even able to sue?

It's like the intro to Portal 2: Thinking with time machines mod.

Right when you thought you finally broke out of the matrix you're right back in the middle of it
The Truman Show 2: A New Life

They were executing some massive major loopholes. He was technically the director’s kid and the situation was not outwardly abusive. He wasn’t ever forcibly prevented from leaving either.

Have you ever seen what happens to someone who's raised in a hyper-religious household who gets molested by their dad and subsequently loses their faith? It'd be a bit like the worst case scenario of that.

was not outwardly abusive. He wasn’t ever forcibly prevented from leaving either.

They set a road on fire to try prevent him escaping in his car, had guys in jazmat suits grab him to stop him escaping and tried to drown him when he was on the boat

He created a podcast called TruTalk

He spent the rest of his life paranoid that he just stepped out of the simulated world into a larger simulated world.

There was that guy from that Jury Duty show who was essentially Truman Show'd in real life and said he became paranoid for months about whether everything in his life was fake. Apparently he got summoned to real jury duty not long after the show ended and it did a number on him. And that was after only a few weeks of being lied to like that, imagine if it was all you'd ever known. You'd never get over it, you would become a paranoid schizo always assuming anyone who's nice to you is a plant, anything bad that happens was orchestrated to fuck with you, etc, etc.

Probably filed a huge lawsuit

he goes on the CallHerDaddy podcast, starts his own cryptocurrency and spirals out, trying to get back into the studio.

The crocodile finally catches up with him.

He sees the streets of Los Angeles and turns right back around and continues the show.

I like to imagine he went out and bought the whole box set of the truman show and marathoned it.

unalived himself for sure

But once he makes it apparent he wants to leave they have to stop all of that. There was no actual sincere application of force. It was all psychological. The environment was perfectly controlled. I’m not denying it was absolutely abusive but he was (very technically) free to leave whenever he wanted to. And he did.

I think he struggled to contain his spaghetti in everyday life after moving back in with his parents and working part time, spending the majority of free time shitposting on internet forums

Using dangerous accelerants and tries to drown him

There was no actual sincere application of force.

This argument would be laughed at in court, and that's before the fact that Truman would have massive support after he got out. He'd be an international celebrity with momentum on his side.
tldr: The director and his company are going to be sued into oblivion.

The show sued him for the resulting financial losses related to his departure. Naturally, the court order him to return to the set. The show tried to resume, but viewership had fallen off. The supporting cast starts to shrink, and eventually Truman is the only person left in the city. The set lights and heating gradually break down. The place goes permanently cold and dark. Eventually they stop broadcasting and the crews are laid off. Truman doesn't know the show has ended, and he's the only one there. Nobody watching anymore.

he discovers gooning
they can't broadcast that on tv, and having 8 hours of "CENSORED" across the screen doesn't sell ads

Christof didn't do any of that.

The charges, officer?

racketeering

Went full chuddy. He's most definitely posting about joos and the fallen west right now.

I agree they’d get sued. I was disagreeing with the idea that this simulation being permitted meant that they wouldn’t get sued.

they literally tried to drown him in his stolen yatch retard. They were breaking the law soo fucking hard trying to keep him from leaving. Any of the stunts used to prevent his escape could have killed him or a bystander.

Common sense was thrown out the window from the start with the Truman show, the studio might aswell be in international waters.

goes batshit insane in a public celebrity crashout drives a sportscar into a tree goes to rehab on a reality show

I would unironically actually watch a truman show 2 that is not a tragic comedy but a serious drama that picks up as straight as he goes through the door.
Worse thing is he would be bombarded by fans for the rest of his life that he could not even ever live a normal life ever anyway. He would have to live in near isolation with security guards forever.
It would be tragic.

Anyway I bet he would have been chopper lifted out of the place to a safe location, or he goes on a murderous rampage.
Meet that pussy he was oneitis about and go to fiji

truman get ipad

It would be end up being about him plotting an escape again

Killed and replaced with ai deep fakes or killed onscreen and the "spin off" is all the existing "characters" coping while the producer plays match maker and makes some supporting characters give birth to the new Truman.

Truman became Jim Carrey, a successful movie star.

he went back after finding out the real world is full of real world black people

Whoa people come in other colors?

Next day

Holy fuck I hate them take me back

and then what happened?

He was like

movie star is nothing I am just a normal man

Wrote a book about his experience and it became a best seller. He probably sued Kristoffer for all he’s worth and retired

STRAIGHT DROOOOOOOOOP

Kid raised in the show

Whole life is written and rehearsed to happen the way the director wants his life to go

Kid finally realises what is going on

Actors treating him a like a kid actor that's messing up his lines

Basically forced to play along

Eventually goes along with it until he grows up

Finally gets a chance and escapes

Realises Jim Carry is his dad and set the whole thing up
or
The outside world is fucked, the show was being broadcast to people in pods

stop it D

He´d probably always doubt his perceived reality, always wondering if he has really escaped or if everything was scripted and the life he believes to be real is but a sequel on which he believes he is free. He´d have trust issues for sure.
