ruins your legendary prestige TV show
Ruins your legendary prestige TV show
I liked him
Looks like a turtle
he'd had been a magical nigga if he hadn't gotten got by the end
Bro was a fucking cartoon. His reputation made no sense.
stands in middle of the projects
muh speschul recipe
A Challenger appears.
he has like 15 mins of screen time overall so he is hardly noticed
behold, I have just shot you with a nonlethal bullet of my own creation! what say you to that, NIGGA? come now Lamar: bring me my stack of books and I shall do some reading
What the fuck were they thinking
But enough about Gus from Breaking Bad
Unironically ruined Better Call Saul, yeah.
how many times have you made this thread?
LOL come on it was kino.. not like that all, you need context. when you was watching it for the first time, you was cheering on this fella
Lamar, whats the most dangerous thing in the world?
A nigga with a library card
jesus christ, can you imagine going to the library and niggers are there? center for knowledge and child learning instantly RUINED
The most dangerous thing in the world is a black man with a book
It's true doe. They literally killed Malcom X because he knew how to read and read smart books.
I am leh smart black man
Is just another run of the mill criminal
b-but her ass!
You contributed then.
look out he's got a library card!
Supposedly the “most realistic” police procedural ever made
Features literal cartoon characters like Brother Mouzone and Omar
What a fucking piece of shit.
that's the whole point - reputation builds its own momentum on the streets
how many times on the show do you hear people telling stories about omar that are far more outlandish than what we actually saw transpire on screen? and which stories or more likely to be repeated?
i swear people that say omar and mouzone are cartoonish are corner boy level iq retards that overdosed on the hype
assdruk
you was
Esl or black?
the police major who decides on his own to legalize drugs and negotiate with dealers to only deal drugs in a specific spot in the city
lol yeah ok
Omar is based on a real magic nigga though so you can't blame them, blame reality
Literally all based on true persons and events.
Petty. She has maybe 10 combined minutes of screen time and dies well before the show actually gets bad.
b-but Jeyne Westerling
Ranks low on the list of characters that shouldn't have been cut.
the detective who plants evidence and fakes a serial killer so headquarters will give him resources to go after a drug dealer
I am tired of pretending that The Wire is good.
It doesn't hold up at all.
Omar moved like a smart person. Brother moved like what a retard thinks a smart person would do. If you think it's realistic for a Malcom X larper to be a literal boogeyman in the projects I don't know what to tell you. I disagree from the comfort of suburbs. Stay mad I guess.
Every problem with seasons 3-8 are a direct result of D&D focusing on her for the Red Wedding
Each season is like a novel, yo. It's literature.
That on the other hand was actually quite stupid.
the cracks were already showing as early as season 2
but if they had kept up the quality the show settled into in seasons 3 and 4, GoT would be remembered as one of the great shows of the modern era.
what did mouzone actually do on the show that was unbelievable? he shot cheese in the street and then got ambushed in his motel room
came back and teamed up with omar to isolate stringer
everything else is reputation and stories
based on
Yeah that doesn't change that it's completely ridiculous and unrealistic. Just because there really was a guy who robbed drug dealers doesn't mean he was some magic nigger that could survive every encounter and can foresee events perfectly. Same goes for the bowtie nigger
If you think it's realistic for a Malcom X larper to be a literal boogeyman in the projects
Nation of Islam is actually a very much feared organization. The members are fanatical and don't give a shit about going to prison (because NOI affiliation in prison protects you inside). Their influence only exist within poor black big city communities, though
In other words, places nobody gives a fuck about
he's based on real people retard
you can get anything you want ;)
the comfort of suburbs.
this is a position of based realities. You are correct
fuck the poorfags and their filthy existence
Just because he's based on real people doesn't mean the writing/acting isn't stupid
omar was elite at patience, planning, and not being found
any time his plans failed, he got rekt, like trying to shoot avon, the failed stash robbery that got one of the girls in his crew shot or trying to kill monk
my first time, just started to rewatch Wire and hit this episode
and not being found
no one would think to look inside a boipussy for a master killer, but yet there he was
Only real grudge i have is the special recipe bullet scene was cringe. Instead of shooting a guy in the arm to make that point it's actually muh own creation. Yeah, aight.
Fair. If the people in the projects are shook because of the fanatic lunatics who don't give a fuck I buy it. The way I perceived it when watching the show was people were afraid of his own personal reputation which is cringe.
So was American Sniper. You believe all that Gi Joe shit?
Based parenting. That's a school shooter right there.
Yeah he totally survived because of "elite planning" not because of retarded plot armor.
youtube.com
plot armor
did you miss the entire subplot about stringer's muscle being literal retards, especially that one guy?
he was badass, krakkkas will never understand him
plot armor
Brooooo, those boys are legendary retards. A 40 degree day!
Malcolm X stood outside the White House gates screaming "Beethoven was black"
Apparently retardation makes your bullets magically curve to not hit a single person in a stationary taxi you are clearly hitting with your bullets
Is this the funniest scene in The Wire history?
apparently when there are gunfights, people don't miss
guess you missed all the other shootouts on the show, like when a bunch of hoodrats miss everybody they are aiming at and only hit innocent bystanders, or snoop attempting a drive-by
moving at 100 yards spray and praying with a pistol
I can't believe that didn't work. Plot armor thicker than grandma.
this shit aged very poorly
It's beyond reasonable doubt. They had him dead to rights and he still gets away with it because "they stupid xD". It's retarded writing. Either don't set the character up in this situation or give some believable reason for his survival beyond "they are too stupid to hit a target in a stationary taxi" (something any street nigger whos never graduated elementary school has successfully done)
here's your realistic, gritty crime drama, bro
lol anime as fuck
I like it
They're moving and shooting out of pistol range. Keep coping I guess.
I'm afraid to watch this and ruin the version that's in my head, like the "ass to ass" meme
m8 every point you make is retarded and gets blown the fuck out
you got memed into the "omar is a cartoon" bullshit and are clinging to ass pull justifications for it
grow up
His character is retardedly written and just gets through by plot armor, no attempt is made to make his feats in any way believable. Sorry.
It wasn't his own recipe it was ratshot. You can buy it in the store.
You're right, I just looked it up the next one in the chamber was his special creation. I guess I am just a hater. Fuck Brother Mouzone.
youtube.com
Correct. Well Gus was atrocious in Better Call Saul. Esposito doing the laziest acting I've ever seen.
robs stash
gets the rest of his crew killed, including his boyfrrend horrifically
get shot in a hit gone wrong and flees the city
stubbornly keeps robbing barksdale and gets another member of his crew killed
manipulated by prop joe to rob marlo
in response, get framed and sent to jail
only saved by good relations with 2 cops
robs co-op
in response, gets his bank and father figure killed horrifically
goes after marlo
gets the real omar killed and breaks his leg fleeing
killed by a 12 year old in a corner shop
that's some cartoon tier plot armor
This scene is embarrassing. Everything wrong with the show.
a Malcom X larper to be a literal boogeyman in the projects
he wasn't from Baltimore, was he? I thought they'd imported him from somewhere else.
NARROW...
New York muscle.
Friends of his died so that means he never had any plot armor
He dies at the end of the show so he never had any plot armor
no attempt is made to make his feats in any way believable
The funniest part about what a fucking cocksucking faggot you are is that character is based on a real dude and most of his stunts were toned down to become more believable, like reducing the six-story jump to four.
ITS BASED ON A REAL GUY WHO ROBBED BANK ROBBERS THAT MEANS EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN THE SHOW HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE
UHM ACTUALLY THAT REAL GUY SURVIVED A FALL SO THERE IS NO PLOT ARMOR
PLOT ARMOR
What exactly does this mean?
it's about believability
there are real and direct consequences for his actions
if every character has "plot armor" up until the point in the plot that they die, then it's a term that means nothing, used by retards to justify their contrarianism and hate boner for a universally accepted best show
That’s some spiderman shit there
Why was it necessary to the plot for Ziggy to have a big dick?
How else would he prank the guy who put him on that container?
based on a real guy
no proof that shit actually happened
Yes it is about believability.
No, not every character has plot armor until they die. Other characters have believable reasons for not dying earlier (such as never being in direct danger until they die, having a real reason for surviving an attack beyond "just luck" multiple times, etc.)
You don't know the dick size of most characters on tv. I guess Ziggy showing his was a coping mechanism and point of pride for being seen as lesser in every other way.
Like a meeting between two samurai ... the mutual respect you can just feel it.
I guess Ziggy showing his was a coping mechanism and point of pride for being seen as lesser in every other way.
Huh. I think this is it.
The Wire isn't that good of a show outside of its pseudo-documentary style of portraying the fucked up systems in a large, rundown American city. So inserting a character like this is not really a big deal
Putting a character in danger and then letting them survive for cheap reasons (luck, perfect ability to foresee things) so many times that it becomes ridiculous. Either don't put them in that situation or give a more elaborate reason for the survival that doesn't just come off as "the writer wills it".
This is literally the best single scene in the entire series. It is a homage to the old wild west gunslingers of the past but played out on the modern day streets of Baltimore between the 2 baddest characters in the show. So many memorable lines all while pulling his gun from his waist. The mutual respect in the most serious of situations is palpitating. One of the greatest scenes in TV history
You simply fear the nigger with the library card.
Watching The Wire, I can make myself kek by imagining what would have been happening at the same time in an all-white community in Maryland.
are there characters in "dangerous" action heavy shows that survived to near the end of the series that didn't have plot armor under your assessment?
so many times that it becomes ridiculous
so many times
list them
especially that one guy?
birdie was not a retard. Birdie just liked shiny things
some faggots get ass blasted about a semi competent nigger being shown on screen. Even when the guy who he was based on made a cameo with the omar actor in the very same scene (county jail lock up)
In a show that repeatedly demonstrates how retarded nigs are in general
You got filtered.
imagining
I've never watched BCS but... what? He did a great job in Breaking Bad. What exactly went wrong in BCS?
if anybody is cartton tier in the breaking bad/better call saul universe, it's the terminator twins
in bcs, they walk through an entire cartel gang's base and kill everybody single-handedly in broad daylight
I'm not "ass blasted" because Omar is competent, I'm ass blasted because the niggers who had him dead to rights were incompetent beyond reasonable doubt, not the other way around. It's just cheap.
The time he's surrounded by multiple niggers, is under heavy fire and his friend dies. Okay that's one time, you can just count that as luck.
Then they put him in an even more dire situation on the sunday church visit with his grandma, and he just gets away with it again anyways. At that point it feels cheap.
These are the 2 major times he does not have the situation under control and he just lucks out in both of them. That's lame.
What part of the real person survived worse do you not understand, you retard?
Hear them walthers like to jump some
List all of the "worse things the real person survived"
Someone already did and you responded with plot armor in caps.
Theres also this Anyone can tell tall tales
wow, 2 times over 5 seasons? and in the first, probably over a hundred bullets are shot between a dozen people before anybody got hit
which just give more credence to 2 incompetent buffoons (who were at the first shooting btw) also not hitting anything the second time
so many times
2
both having plausible reasons
So the only thing is falling off the 6th floor rather than 4th floor?
There's also no proof that you are a real person.
Theres also the whole bullshit with OP picrel. It's just cheap. He lucks out AGAIN
goes on a rant about robb orchestrating murder/warfare
'oh but he's fucking me and i can be a queen? don't care about that now lol'
she sucked, but she is at least hot
The real one was involved in more gun fights, the fictional one was involved in... two?
Luck after luck after luck. It's gay and lame. Any time someones got the drop of him he gets out of it through luck. LAME
mouzone actually wanted to find out who sent him after him instead of shooting him in the street without a word? yeah, that's lucky
*on him
You can be in a gunfight and still at a clear advantage
Not always.
Like that other anon said, boring performance. I swear there's not single memorable thing of him from the show. My biggest issue is that the show also delves more into the cartel garbage so that means more Gus and it was just badly handled when the lawyer stuff was infinitely more enjoyable.
They’re not cartoons, they’re just products of an extremely stupid culture.
Omar’s chief superpower was intimidation, but that’s only because every n-word in Baltimore is a dumbass.
Brother Mouzone is an extremely believable black nerd, who also has no powers and gets gutshot after opening a door in a motel in the ghetto
mouzone's superpower was lamar
buys his books/magazines
takes his smoking gun
fag bait
lol
