It's got RDJ in it, right? I think that alone is gonna be enough, no matter what the movie is like. Which is probably why they got him back in the first place. Although it would probably help if it wasn't preceded by all these other movies that most people seem to have no interest in seeing.

Fantastic Four is a pivotal moment. If it does well it might restore faith in MCU, but if it falls flat on its face it will show that they can't handle it anymore whatsoever.

They essentially have nothing going for them anymore. All the momentum has been spent and the movies are now about third-rate characters that normies don't even know about or care.
Yes, they got RDJ for Doom but that reeks of stunt casting and I'm sure they'll throw money at actors to get all of them to assemble again and mug for the camera, but the magic is gone and this entire multiverse shtick is really lame and not engaging at all. It completely evaporates any sense of stakes or drama.

RDJ is an elderly man who isn't playing Iron Man. I don't believe he's that big of a draw anymore.

Only selling point that disaster with no set-up has going for it is it being a cameo fest, MoM did as well as it did because normies went in expecting a cameo bonanza only to get rugpulled which made the movie drop like a rock, the movie being shit didn't help either, but if D&P can pull over a billion with hugh and sneedpool alone then doomsday has a chance, with it bringing back every other OG X-Men plus Thor and Star Lord, even if no one was clamoring for a 60-year old Nightcrawler or a post-wall Mystique. Doomsday and Secret Wars also have a high chance of being the last roles for Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, at least as far as Marvel is concerned, mostly Stewart since McKellen seems to be in good health for his age.

People will go watch the RDJ movie just so they can film themselves reacting to something in the movie to post it on social media. Mark my words. The movie can be the most bland mediocre shit imaginable but as long as they get their CHICKEN JOCKEY moment it's gonna end up making millions.

I watched it and I found it to be incredibly average, pretty formulaic as expected of Marvel and the whole film felt like going through the motions, I finally realized what people meant with the capeshit critique of "don't people get tired of seeing the same movie over and over again?" and "there's only so many different stories you can tell with superheroes". At least it didn't make me want to kill myself like the Falcon show so it wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly great either.
