Weapons trailer

Will watch later, wonder if it's better than barbarian

Apparently it was a big deal inside Hollywood, the director was hired to do a Resident Evil movie because of the script and Jordan Peele purged his entertainment company when they couldn't get the distribution rights.

Looks kino. I can’t believe a dude from WKUK is making some of the best modern horror movies.

kids acting evil, smashing through the windows unphased

some woman stabbing herself with a fork in the face and not reacting as if in a trance

I'm guessing this is some MKUltra government experiment thing to make human superweapons and they tested it on kids but maybe it goes wrong and starts affecting others?
Maybe some sort of physical mutation, the scene with some black goo could be suggesting that.
I did hear Cregger was hired for a Resident Evil movie. This is actually another thing that might hint at the whole deal of the film being that it's so e government mutation experiment to create human weapons, that's a similar premise to Resident Evil.

Some anon already took a guess and said its a witch in the woods

It's actually a modern take on the Pied Piper legend

Bravo hollywood

It can be both, some human with supernatural abilities luring kids in like a Pied Piper and giving them powers or something and he is used by the government. The adults seem to be going crazy as well from the trailer tho, so whatever is happening to kids will affect them as well at some point. A woman is nonchalantly stabbing herself in the face, the person throwing up blue goo on another guy seems to be an adult too judging by the hands and the Asian principal guy is attacking Garner's character at the very end like a zombie.

Kids go off during the school day to play with a nailgun

One dies and they fuck around with the necronomicon

BRAVO ZACH

Dammit, how am I suppose to sleep in the dark tonight?

Can somebody just put the summary in bullet points form so that I don't have to watch the trailer?

Joker makeup

MOM'S GONNA FREAK

looks like some trashy modern adaptation of the pied piper

the short teaser they released last week was better than this shit

It wasn't that scary

At two seventeen in the morning, anon woke up, got out of bed, walked downstairs, smoked a cigarette, drank a bottle of beer, peed in a plastic jug, turned on his computer, watched videos on the internet...

When Evil Lurks.

Idk what this has to do with what i said. But i will say that I saw When Evil Lurks and it was shitty, poor direction pacing and some laughable immersion ruining special effects. The supernatural concept of a "demon disease" with body horror elements was cool but the film was structured as "mostly generic horror sequence - terribly written drama - mostly generic horror sequence - terribly written drama". I especially hated how absolutely retarded the main character was. I am not a fan of Hereditary but this slop made me appreciate that movie more cause Aster did a better job with balancing drama and horror. No idea why people fellated When Evil Lurks so much.

Anon... this was announced months ago.

It looks like just another generic horror flick.

I miss him so much, bros

Who?

He apparently died then next minute his friend gets to make barbarian and weapons

Barbarian was shit, can’t wait for more horror slop

On another thread, something about bullies.

So people getting infected with a Cross-like disease/possession and killing other people while spreading the disease doesn't scare you since the demonic possession seems newy invinicible? That's cool.

Alden Ehrenreich

glad this guy is getting more work

NOW YOU FUCKED UP

I still don't understand wtf you on about. Are you still about Where Evil Lurks? I didn't say the concept isn't scary, in fact it's an excellent concert but the film fails in execution.

its got brolin, im in

They're Weapons 2025

Acording to Deadline, Universal Pictures was the only other studio, aside from New Line, to have gotten close to getting the deal. Jordan Peele would have produced through his Monkeypaw studio with Universal, but the offer made by them was 7 million dollars less than New Line's proposal. Peele was supposedly ready to provide that amount of money out of his contractual back end, but Universal were uneasy about the budget as a business proposition and walked away. Peele and Cregger shared the same Manager, Peter Principato, which might have caused a conflict of interest. Peele later parted ways with his Management Artists First.

even the banana peel is interested in this project

Jordan Peele and Zach Cregger are close friends and live (or used to live) pretty close to each other

That's not difficult

Thoughts?

Looks pretty generic A24 or whatever big studio-trying-pass-for-indie horror is called these days. Seems like a pass

KINO

actually looks awesome, will be watching

I hope Timmy, Darren, and Sam get to work with Zach in some capacity. None of them are doing much and that makes me sad.

I'd be pissed too if my friend made a good movie and then wrote another one and then my friend's movies actually get reviewed on the content of the movie and not the content of the themes of the movies.

no

shamalamadingdong was too far ahead

takes place in the same world as barbarian and companion

okay this is epic
epic
epic for the win

They're doing fine, though

I remember Trevor asking Zach if he could be in Barbarian as a guy who tells the main character not to go in the house, RIP big man

Timmy is a radio DJ

Sam wrote for a kid's show that got cancelled

Darren I don't know

It's definitely not writing and directing major screenplays...
