And Don't Look up was not a reddit movie since it was not biased and one sided enough towards the sanctimonious left and mocked them too.

I remember seeing the trailer for this during the Wuhan-flu days, and it just seemed like a complete inversion of reality, that should have been made 10 years earlier as eco-fluff under Obama.

From my understanding of the trailer, you have compassionate scientists desperately trying to warn people about an imminent disaster, while the US government is indifferent and doesn't take them seriously (a contrived metaphor for "climate change" I guess).

Meanwhile in real life at the same time, we had government figures bitching and fear-mongering about the China-virus every day on TV, while being backed by scientists pushing their elaborate over-kill theories on how to stop the virus, bullying people into taking part. Politicians love a disaster.

I can't fucking stand that this movie always seems to get mired in politics because it made the mistake of getting stuck in red vs blue political stuff, I genuinely love it, I never really felt that it was about climate change and if that's how it was meant to be I don't care, it's just a really funny movie with a cool premise + it actually has the balls to end the world which I liked. Solid 7.5/10 for me and I rewatch it frequently
