With my eyes closed.
You wait for him to have a falling out with someone in his circle (which he does on a semi-regular basis), then they'll get pissed off and dump it online somewhere
When the show inevitably ends for real, it should have an ending similar to Twice Upon a Time. Some people want a big dramatic ending where the Doctor dies for good or something, but letting the actor give his regeneration farewell and cutting to the TARDIS flying away would be best.
Instead of watching Doctor Who, I watched Capaldkino in Black Mirror
Much better use of my time
DM him and say
AIshiteru yo
Why is Capaldi a tranny now?
now
He always was.
Doctor who should have ended after season 9 or rebooted or someshit
All the plot threads after the reboot(season 1) we're resolved
and season 10 onward is fucking dogshit
He got everything back basically
Capaldi's always been a straight man. Remember the time he wanted the Vicar of Dibley to marry him?
I don't rate Into the Dalek nor Husbands of River Song that high, but otherwise good list.
The wider narrative arc of the 2005 revival was already resolved in the 50th anniversary special, everything after genuinely feels like some anime filler arc that completely undermines a finished plot thread.
Why are boardies so fucking retarded? The show was always about some alien traveling to other planets.
This is pure cope cope. The show was at its peak of popularity from 2009-2013 and the rot only began to set in in 2014. Absolutely no-one was saying it was gonna get cancelled then. That wasn't a thing until Chibnall and that did pretty much turn out to be true. The show would have ended with him had RTD and Disney not swooped in, and it only lasted as long as it did because COVID made for a convenient scapegoat. Do remember there is a reason this year is called Season 2, they're officially two different shows.
Pokemon told him to hack the planet
STD's shit will never be this kino

It's a bit sad how the Twelfth Doctor wanted to die because he was tired of life and believed his next lives would just lead to more pain & humiliation, because he ended up being 100% right and we found out the hard way. Doctor Who after him has just been endless pain & humiliation for the audience, Twelve should've stood his ground and died for good. I'll pretend he did, in fact.
Pretty much.
What they should have done was spent the next few years exploring the ramifications of Gallifrey being back, including Rassilon obviously being unleashed back on the universe, and some serious shit going down.
And then maybe they could have delved into the whole mythology of the black and white guardians (whatever they were exactly). Maybe Omega and the great vampires.
They just decided to do none of that, and the whole thing has felt flaccid and meandering ever since.
Gotta love how the whole in-world point of the Fourteenth Doctor was so that the Fifteenth Doctor would be emotionally stable yet he turned out to be the most emotionally unstable.
I understand what you mean because classic who did things like the 'key to time' it had mixed results but nu-who is different. It needs something to wrap itself around. (or that's what the creators thought).
The time war lore was added to give the doctor some trauma and audiences did seem to like it.
Gallifrey is inherently the place where nothing interesting is happening, because this is where the show is not. Having it stashed in a pocket dimension as of The Day was probably the best setup.
"Yeah, my homeworld is lost. Someday I will find it so no need to fuss about it, for now I'll just wander the universe to see if it's there yet"
Hell Bent > Journey's End
red carpet: smoking hot charismatic older woman who could seduce any man she sees
actual TV show: sexless charisma vacuum with all the color and energy drained from her face
...why?
Evelyn Smythe who was the Sixth Doctor's first original companion from Big Finish (we're talking proper OG Big Finish and not zombie Big Finish here) wore glasses.
Post that picture of her lying on her stomach in the green dress.
Cope
Regenerated to Whitaker
gets immediately sucked out and suffocated
Series 10 > Series 4
You now remember that Amy Pond canonically hit the wall.
God, Karen Gillan still looks good today but nothing beats Series 5 Amy.
Gallifrey isn't cool because of Gallifrey. It's cool because it means Timelords are active in the universe, and Timelords add a whole interesting dynamic to the universe where there are beings out there who are more powerful than the Doctor, and serve as an authority for him to rebel against, or reluctantly assist in times of crisis.
It's fun.
Why did they have to give her a karen haircut?
But he's breaking into tears at least once an episode! That clearly means he's perfectly in tune with his emotions!
Sorry... did you just say... coon?
I think having Gallifrey be gone fundamentally changes the nature of the Doctor. It automatically changes him from being a misfit who wants to explore the universe and learn about stuff for his own amusement, into being a intrinsically tragic figure whose been forced out into the universe because his home has been lot to him
Jodie wanted her Doctor to appear somewhat androgynous
Genuinely
smoking hot charismatic older woman who could seduce any man she sees
...you're joking, right?
this will appeal to the youth!
He goes from eccentric vagabond, to Superman basically.
sexless
I would donate some sex to her
vacuum
ooooh matron!
...you're joking, right?
Nope. I'd suffer through a thousands zesty homobame episodes just to stick it into Jodie herself.
Were they all going to share the Doctor's body?
You wouldn't let her drain your balls?
The Doctor is stuck with a mentally deficient waste man soundcloud rapper as the main companion
How would the stories play out?
Superman at least has the angle of being raised on Earth. It's all he's ever known, while Krypton is more that 'homesick for a place I've never been' kind of thing at most
He takes him to a remote planet, locks the doors, and dematerialses.
Unironically, I'd have had Susan regenerate into an old man and have John Noble play him. Either him or Sean Pertwee. Sure would be better than Susan Triad, Mundy Flynn, Mrs Flood or any of the other "rumours" shit. Of course you've gotta pair him with a MILF Doctor like Hayley Atwell or, indeed, Anna Torv from Fringe.
Post the pic of her ass from that Venus movie
With the way the show went and the way they seemed to deliberately antagonize white male fans they intentionally made her as sexless as possible to deaden her appeal to heterosexual men. Despite the fact that half of why the revival was popular was because of women fans sexualizing the previous male doctors
Doctor Who is a show for children which exclusively attracts trannies. I guarantee every poster in this thread has gender dysmorphia at the least. As a result none of the posters have any idea what they are and are therefore incapable of the following:
relating to anybody else
understanding anybody else's point of view >accepting the existence of any opinion contrary to their own
acknowledging any personal fault or failing >changing their minds or developing an idea in any way
ever growing as a person
/who/ is a self-made hell for society's most worthless dregs. It needs no demons or lakes of fire because its inhabitants will forever torment each other.
I also guarantee that everybody that reads this will think to themselves, "yeah! That describes every / who/ poster perfectly - except me, of course. I'm nothing like the others!"
Capaldi has done it a lot. But you have to realise that every actor for the Doctor has dressed up in woman's clothes or deeply want to. Eccleston has his thing about dressing as a woman and putting on make up, Tennant's done it in shows in the past, Smith did it on some stage show, Capaldi used to have an act where he and his friend dressed up as a women and sang, not to mention all of his appearances on TV. And then I'm sure Ncui did it a lot in Sex Education.
Yes.
Father of Mine as the Doctor's head and testicles
Mother of Mine as the Doctor's torso
Daughter of Mine as the Doctor's arms and legs
Son of Mine as the Doctor's penis
You've dabbled with incels... now meet the genuine article!
Why yes, I have seen Star Trek.
Did MrTardis play a part in writing it?
It's so rewarding for me how 12 has basically been redeemed not just among the bigger fans but also the casuals. I mean there are plenty of arguments out there that he killed the show because there are some pretty bad episodes, the ratings were low, he was another old guy following two young popular actors playing the role... But fuck me, he was the best actor for that part and he was eating it up. I am so vindicated that people are now recognizing, not just weirdos in threads like these, that Capaldi is fucking great as 12
The moment they gave the desi girl a white boyfriend I knew they were going to do the toxic white male shit
Mods should sticky the cancellation announcement when it hits in June
The scene of him playing a shooting game was hilarious.
Capaldi didn't really kill the show, but unfortunately it was during his tenure that the usual suspects of shanking established franchises started to make themselves known.
His ratings being low didn't mean it was bad.
This episode's ending felt like Davies genuinely just wants the ship to sink.
He started in a very weird place I don't agree with. There's really little point in questioning Doctor's morality, it will always end up in the same place, lest there won't be a show.
when it hits in June
Nothing's getting confirmed until after that UNIT spinoff airs
If it ever airs
There was a new episode released? I have no intention of watching, but I am curious what it was about - in as much as to be baffled about what new awful decision they have made.
So how is RTD going to destroy Midnight?
Can I tell you a secret, /who/?
I think Belinda is mad sexy
I think Belinda is HOT CARAMEL SEX actually
How many of these obvious gayboys pretending to be le ebul straight white male incels are there exactly? There's this one, the little shit from Adolescence and the meme incel from Hollyoaks. Any more?
Sixth Doctor's coat is kino and I'm tired of everyone pretending it isn't.
to be baffled about what new awful decision they have made
It's all built around a really convoluted time paradox that doesn't make a great deal of sense, and the villain was the companion's ex-boyfriend who was actually an insecure little incel
I downloaded a few from Soulseek
New Indian companion called her white ex-boyfriend an incel.
By revealing that the Midnight entity dindun nuffin wrong, and it was the humans that were the bad guys all along, also it's actual appearance is some ayy imao crystal woman probably.
If it's so good, buy one and wear it casually down to Tesco
Its supposedly all wrapped up so I'm pretty sure it is airing unless you're suggesting the Beeb are gonna go full Batgirl. I guess we can expect a trailer at the end of the Season 2 finale.
I'm not a based time lord so I couldn't get away with it.
What if it's a fourth wall break, and the being putting words into people's mouths was him (the writer) all along?
The creature is actually one of the indigenous lifeforms of the planet, who were knowingly and deliberately displaced by the greedy white space property developers who built the resort, and the Doctor comes to understand and support the injustice done against them. You can FEEL it happening.
If you're not "based" then that's your own fault. Be better. Care less. Give no fucks. It's your life and if you don't live it the way you want then that's your loss. You don't get another one.
Feels more like a coat for Aldi desu
The more I think about this episode the less it makes sense. Is RTD really suggesting that this guy proposed marriage to her without shagging her first.
Bollocks, it's a Morrison's coat and you know it.
It's so rewarding for me how 12 has basically been redeemed not just among the bigger fans but also the casuals
Capaldi fan here, what you're talking about did not really happen. More like some finally caught on that there are valuable and meaningful aspects to his run they previously ignored, but that doesn't change the fact it was a messy and flawed era.
There's a bit at the end of Spyfall where Thirteen and her companions are sitting around a fire and she decides to finally tell them everything about themselves and it got me thinking what if the conversation went something like
13: Oh, but not all of my people have the power to regenerate. Those that do, The Time Lords seclude themselves in the great Citadels, while the peasantry ekes out a living farming the wastelands. Sometimes one of their children can be accepted into the Academy, assuming they survive the entrance exam.
Graham: Ah, but I bet those peasants sleep a little more soundly every night knowing you've got their back, eh Doc?
And then 13 has to face up to the fact the only time she ever gave a fuck about the Gallifreyans was feeling guilty about genociding them.
I think it could have worked, or at least would not be as bad, if it was just the coat. The trousers, the necktie/ascot/cravats, the question mark collars, the waistcoat not being a single and muted colour. There is a lot going on with the coat by itself, everything else in a way just drowns out whatever the coat by itself may have provided.
Nah, I'm sure it will get released, there's just been near radio silence on it this whole time, so I'm not sure anyone involved is confident it'll do well
Well now that I think about it she didn't really call her ex an incel, just said that he created a planet for incels.
He half killed it
The revival’s popularity was built by girls fantasizing about the sexy dashing dangerous doctor sweeping them away from a boring life and falling in love with him. There was apprehension with Matt Smith but he won everyone over before his first season was done
Meanwhile Capaldi looks like grandpa and completely breaks this. That’s why the ratings started going down. Even if his stories were top notch no girlie that liked Tennant was tuning in for Grandpa Who. Then they still didn’t learn their lesson and hired a woman for the Doctor and all but killed the show
There's not even any good memes from this.
Oh, so it was the black woman and the catty muscle guy who were the incels. Now I get it.
Incel doesn't really mean involuntarily celibate anymore, it's just a vibe. Like the ick.
sexy dashing dangerous doctor sweeping them away from a boring life and falling in love with him
That isn't what 9 was though.
I won't defend this shite episode but.
There's not even any good memes from this.
>>r/prequels.
Also, at least Ncuti is a young male Doctor like 10 and 11.
Rewatch Tennant’s first season (beyond the Christmas special) and tell me that it’s not clearly written with the 9th Doctor in mind just with some minor changes to accommodate the new actor
wtf of course he was. That was what the Rose bit in The Parting of the Ways was all about. That kiss was peak RTD "How d'you do fellow, heterosexuals?"
Not having enjoyed Sutekh posting
Have you not emotions, anon?
Your predictions of what else there will be this season?
VNA? What does that mean?
Ncuti was an instant flop because they turned the Doctor from a strong decisive guy who always figures it out, and into an emasculated crybaby who folds under pressure. And that’s not even touching on how visibly GAY they made the 15th Doctor look
Go and read user reviews for the new episode and you’ll see the words “….and Ncuti is crying. Again.” over and over.
John Simm returning.
Virgin New Adventures. Series of licenced Doctor Who books following the Seventh Doctor published by Virgin Publishing in the 90s.
His overwhelming gayness more than negates that though. Bitches like DILFs much more than flaming homos.
Virgin New Adventures (Virgin as in name of the publisher, not target audience, but also target audience)
When Classic Who ended, they started writing books with sex and violence.
Where is she...
At this point are you glad there was the revival, for whatever quality it once had and popularisation of Classic it may have led, or do you wish it never got revived for all that has been brought about by it?
Pete McTighe's writing one, so that'll probably be forgettable crap
I wonder if they're going to bother revealing what the deal with Anita Dobson actually is, or whether it's going to be left open as a hook to try and ensure a 3rd series of Ncuti gets commissioned
Trying to make us care about the Doctor caring about Sasha 55 when she had like two lines and we don't see them interact before the scene where she dies is such garbage writing
Virgin- the publisher, New Adventure -the series
early to mid 90s series of who books- RTD wrote one, Moffat wrote a short story for a collection, Cornell, Gatiss and Gareth wrote a few
I want fun peppy Doctor and depressed nerdy companion with anger issues.
I didn't like Ace much because I didn't feel like she's written very naturally, but I want another stab at a psycho girl companion.
The revival was worth it just for season 5
Nah, it's a coat you'd find buried in the middle aisle
Probably working at UNIT now as I saw her with them in the trailer.
I need her NOW
Of course, nuwho > classic who
gay
How was Ace a psycho?
The revival was worth it for Rose's lips, Martha's crooked teeth, Donna's tits, Amy's legs, and Clara's arse.
There was apprehension with Matt Smith but he won everyone over before his first season was done
Unrelated, but I've been thinking for a little while that Matt is possibly the Doctor who found his groove the fastest. He's on top of his performance almost from the very start of The Eleventh Hour (barring the silly crashing TARDIS sequence). I don't think any other Doctor got it as quickly as he did.
Making pipe bombs
Attacking daleks with a baseball bat
Go away Judy, nobody likes you!
Bill's arse > Clara's arse
You also forgot Nardole's head.
when she had like two lines
They were really awkward lines as well. Or maybe the actress just wasn't very good
I was 9 when Nu began and was into as a kid, I eventually stopped watching for a few years during the Smith era, then picked it up and went back again to see what I missed, stopped watching come 13th and have only saw clips of that era an NuNuWho, and in the last two years I have got into Classic. When I weight it all up I got stuff out of the revival when I watched it and I enjoy Classic that I would have otherwise never had watched if not for Nu. Still, lamentable state that the franchise has turned into - especially having found I enjoy Classic.
Does UNIT have no requirement standards?
I'm old enough to remember seeing Doctor Who repeats on UK Gold in the 90s and I did a spell in the hospital watching Tom Baker episodes prior to the revival happening. I never needed the revival.
They hired a child midget on a mini segway as their scientific adviser. What do you think?
I'm pretty sure he was a normal-sized child.
He also had a lisp, and his segway could fire bullets.
So do you think they’re going to wait until June to announce the cancellation, wait until the UNIT show airs, or will they announce it while the season is still airing?
Imagine kicking that fucker right across the UNIT set.
13 year old boys aren't like 3ft tall.
I would like to see what happened to Doctor Who in a timeline where the movie got greenlit for more entries.
Mad how UNIT these days is all menopausal women and cripples
They're meant to be the army ffs
Sadly, art intimates life.
Far as I'm aware, the spin-off counts towards the number of episodes that Disney agreed to fund. So it's likely any announcement about the main show's renewal or cancellation will only come after TWBTLAS (fucking hell) finishes.
You know how every depiction of a female president from 2023 to 2026 is going to be a black woman because they thought Kamala was going to win? I wonder if the all-granny army was another instance of this because top brass was never supposed to be masculine again until Trump came back
What standards do you need
The word is that that they show isn't officially recommissioned or cancelled until this year's finale. I would have to imagine they'll have to address the elephant in the room when there's no special at Christmas.
I want squaddie Commando UNIT back. Gimme DPMs and SA80s. NuWho's insistence on a high-tech SWAT team/Agents of SHIELD rip-off annoys me.
I wonder if the McGann series would have been better.
For all of the problems the TV movie has, the heavy influence of The X-Files, and the more hard horror angle it was pushing is honestly a better place to start than "Buffy the Vampire Slayer on a London council estate".
The problems with Nu-Who are really baked into format. They've been there since day 1. And I say that as someone who more or less loved Eccleston, and then loved at least the initial Matt Smith series.
The more you think about it, the more you realise the tone has just never been quite right. Even putting aside the social justice stuff, I don't think the light, jokey way that the show treats the basic facets of it's own world-building are correct.
I don't think having the Doctor refer to the Tardis as having a "desktop theme" is correct, for example. I don't think him being able to "speak baby" or "speak horse" is correct. I don't care if they're jokes. A science fiction show needs a bedrock of serious worldbuilding. You don't make a joke episode of Star Trek where you establish that dilithium crystals can fart, because that casts a farcical tone on the rest of the show, even when it's trying to be serious.
Anyway, enough sperg ranting.
The War Between the Land and the Sea
UNIT must take action to prevent a global war once an ancient species, the Sea Devils, comes out from the sea, revealing itself to humanity.
That action should be genocide.
If months go by and the actors start getting signed onto other projects like Ncuti already is, then that’s all the confirmation we need.
Do we have ratings yet for the new episode?
The current scuttlebut is that Disney are holding off on any decision regarding funding further seasons of Who until after this UNIT show is out. So they can get a look at whether Doctor Who S2 and the spin-off together manage to boost D+ subscription figures high enough to justify throwing more money at it
Hey, cool it with the anti-seametic remarks.
They apparently ordered 26 episodes
With 5 for that UNIT miniseries, and 9 for each season of DW that’s 23. I wonder if Disney will try to argue the Tennant specials count and will consider the contract finished
Agents of SHIELD rip-off
You're being too generous there.
Based and Brigpilled
Get Geneva on the line
It's funny to think that, had they not blown their load with the spin-off (they clearly thought Disney Who was gonna be a massive hit) they could have gotten away with a Season 3 next year.
The specials absolutely do count. That's why everyone's interested in seeing what Disney does after this season.
Under The Lake/Before The Flood
Should be Great Tier. It's absolute Peak Who
It is something plenty of anons have said before, but one the underlying problems with revival is the mythologising of the Doctor himself which both underlyingly changes the character and can lockout a lot of people that are not interested in it. The last of Time Lords being the most obvious under RTD (both originally and reverting back to in in RTD2) and arguably the original sin for the mythologising aspect, but you also have Doctor's name storyline with 11th and 'Am I good man?' with 12th under Moffat, and then the whole Timeless Child with Chibnall.
I just liked the better cinematography and god tier tardis set that came from going to the original run to the 1996 movie. I’d have loved to see more of it. Really had that 90s organic magic tech look that you just don’t see now
Positives:
New companion was very good, particularly her relationship towards the Doctor. Felt much more like a Classic companion.
..yeah that's it that's all the positives. Already suspecting the only chance for good episodes we'll get this season will be ones not penned by RTD.
Obviously it happens for production reasons, but what are we supposed to think about the Doctor continuing working for UNIT and staying bros with the Brig after that? Does the Doctor take the 'only following order defence' as valid?
What gets me is how coercive control is supposed to be a serious subject matter yet it's almost a gag here and wasted on the incel line, it's just typical RTD passive progressive / "how d'you do fellow kids?" shite. Like I know Fear Her ain't exactly the best episode ever but there was potential there what with the memory of an abusive father manifesting as a monster.
the only chance for good episodes we'll get this season will be ones not penned by RTD.
We're getting
Pete McTighe (of 'Kerblam!' fame)
Juno Dawson (young-adult novelist, author of 'This Book Is Gay')
Inua Ellams (a playwright who can only write about his own racial grievances as a Black in Britain)
Sharma Walfall (no notable credits, RTD is co-writing this one)
Ace's arse > Bill's arse
If the TVM had launched a series, there would have plenty of attempts at stupid lore points there as well. Look at the Leekley Bible, or even just consider the "half-human on my mother's side". Of course, we'll never know how far that might have gotten, but if you're going with The X-Files comparison then I find it easy to imagine that it could have turned out like a poor man's version of the worst of the mytharc.
Juno Dawson (young-adult novelist, author of 'This Book Is Gay')
Inua Ellams (a playwright who can only write about his own racial grievances as a Black in Britain)
Sharma Walfall (no notable credits, RTD is co-writing this one)
Guess it'll be one of these or nothing then.
With Eighth Doctor it seems more to be the case of anons thinking about Big Finish and novels with him, combined with the now backlash to Nu/NuNu.
It's worth pointing out that Juno Dawson is a tranny and the episode s/he is writing is the Space Eurovision one.
So it's pretty unlikely that one will genuinely be good, though I'm sure reddit will love it.
>Pete McTighe (of 'Kerblam!' fame)
Hey, it made all the NEETs on reddit mad, so it's can't be all bad.
It was a decent investigative story at least with a decent twist.
We can blame RTD for this shitshow til the cows come home to roost, but the people to blame really are the enablers that allow this shite to take hold and fester like a tumour within the cultural zeitgeist.
Like I know Fear Her ain't exactly the best episode ever but there was potential there what with the memory of an abusive father manifesting as a monster.
It’s so frustrating because it was a great concept but horribly executed. A worse fumble than most TNG season one adventures. It’s like they were afraid to commit to such a delicate topic and the end result is just an insult.
She has shitty dyke short hair now
RTD is co-writing this one
Oh god this reminds me of Rosa which was co-written by Chibnall. So it's basically an (admittedly deeply flawed) writer who actually knows Doctor Who tard-wrangling a black woman "writer" again.
Who cares, if they can write they can write. If its the eurovision one then nevermind that's going to be RTD shit tier camp.
What a depressing season holy shit.
and staying bros with the Brig
His relationship with the Brig was always kind of odd, he obviously respects him to an extent, but simultaneously thinks the man's a petty boor. It's the sort of contradiction that can only work because of how alien the Doctor is, where he's always sort of looking down on the Brig, almost like he's dealing with a big child in terms of their relative intellects
TNG? What does that mean?
Doctor Who shilling for a megacorp is a bizarre choice for the franchise. If I could show any NuWho episode to a Classic writer then I would want to show that one to Malcolm Hulke.
It shilled more for work than for corporations.
Star Trek The Next Generation. Check it out next time there’s a Doctor Who shaped hole in your life.
This could all have been avoided if more people were willing to come out and say, "actually, Bob & Rose is shite, and you're all only praising it because you agree with RTD's politics"
What's the cope going to be when it is cancelled?
Go and read user reviews for the new episode and you’ll see the words “….and Ncuti is crying. Again.” over and over.
what's hilarious is that every online DW fan outlet from Reddit to elsewhere has basically spent the past 8 years chasing all the general fans away by calling them racists and sexists if they didn't like what the show was doing
even amongst the people who remain, they're calling Ncuti a fucking bitch for crying every episode and it's making the hardcore alphabet fag fans melt down
Remember the other week someone said from the leak that this episode will make Space Babies look like Caves of Androzani? Good fucking grief.
Seriously where the fuck did Juno Dawson come from?
Came out of nowhere from writing LGTV4K+ books and wrote a flop BBC audio series (so bad not even Big Finish took the pitch), and suddenly the bluesky/reddit types think they're hot shit, despite said audio series being widely panned
I do not understand it, I'm starting to think all the other anons saying Dawson was chosen as next showrunner might be right and there's a concerted effort to shill them as much as possible as Doctor Who's future
Well if the downie goblin MrTARDIS if anything to go by it's that the show is gonna be cancelled thanks to Trump's tariffs.
can't have her be too appealing to straight white men, after all
I mean this sincerely - so many shows and movies have been actively telling straight men to fuck off, who the FUCK did they expect to replace those lost views and watches?
though I'm sure reddit will love it.
Does Reddit even still like Doctor Who? Or is it that they do the "This is great" upon release then a few weeks or months later they are like "Actually it is flawed" which then turns in to "It was bad all along"? Or do they even allow criticism of the show on the subreddits? Meaning even if they do hate it then they can't say so there?
Based Trump keeps winning.
Who cares, if they can write they can write.
Here's some example of their previous work for you to judge, then:

What a depressing season holy shit.
It really fucking is. Knowing this was all in the can before the last season had even finished airing gives me no hope at all.
Yeah, that's one of the two major problems with the TV movie. Firstly, it puts established lore through a blender, secondly the actual plot is borderline incomprehensible nonsense about an atomic clock.
What I'm talking about is more the general tone and feel of the thing. It's not Doctor Who played up as some kind of pantomime or self-parody. what you're looking at is a serious rendition of the universe, and I like that. It's dark and moody.
Regeneration is treated as something violent and traumatic. The Master is a body snatching ghoul. In Nu-Who regeneration is a sparkly fireworks show, and the Master mugs for the camera and dances to pop music.
The Tardis feels like something in-between an advanced piece of technology, and a gothic cathedral. In Nu-Who, the Tardis feels like a carnival funhouse with it's own quirky personality.
Right place, right time. Started writing professionally in 2012, just as the revived LGBTQIAA+ stuff was taking off and all of the big publishers were casting around looking for more gay stuff to publish
They don't ban it, though obviously there's self-selection process. And early on criticism tend to be downvoted, which reduces its visibility.
Trump curse strikes again!
Only way that's possible is if it's a bunch of trans women dancing with their penises in front of the camera for 45 minutes straight.
And it's true, they only send us the standard edition Collection blu-rays. They don't send the special editions. They're ripping us off, folks
they did the same thing the Star Trek subreddits did, they banned literally all criticism of Discovery and eventually the only users left were hopeless sycophants
DW has been doing that slowly since the start of Jodie's run but there seems to be a civil war happening right now where a significant amount of the comments in the threads are about how shit the show is (they're downvoted, but not being removed by mods)
What I'm talking about is more the general tone and feel of the thing. It's not Doctor Who played up as some kind of pantomime or self-parody. what you're looking at is a serious rendition of the universe, and I like that. It's dark and moody.
Wholeheartedly agreed, aesthetically it's near-perfect.
secondly the actual plot is borderline incomprehensible nonsense about an atomic clock.
I've seen the movie half a dozen times and I still genuinely could not tell you exactly how the climax is resolved.
I don't think it's that extreme but it was legit funny to see the BBC have to admit that USAID was effectively providing 10% of their funding and they've had to shuffle stuff in response
i cant believe im saying this but i miss her
absolutely not, doctor who needs a 20 year hiatus or better yet should just die, anything delaying that is just continuing to rape it
Yeah I agree, just don't bother with /who/ any more. There's no show to talk about in the first place, and, with the schizo(s) currently tearing away at this general's corpse and the jannies blatantly allowing that and/or being one of them, it all just makes this general completely and utterly worthless. Don't waste your energy reporting them, or trying to post normally. It won't work, and it hasn't worked for the past three months.
Leave this place and don't ever look back. Don't even come in these threads any more. Eventually, even the shitposters will tire of doing the same awful posts every single day without response. Just let /who/ die.
We have Boob-linda Cum-dry now. She has bigger tits, better hair, and un-pierced nipples. Its an improvement on Booby Cum-day, especially if you're down with the brown.
Also, RTD has upped the "something for the Dads" stakes by having her run around in her pyjamas all episode and you can see jelly tots at various points when the actress must have been cold or excited.
Slit your throat
it's legit funny to see the alphabet fans cry over the thought of an extended 5+ year hiatus
b-bu-bu-but it'll never come back if they do tha-
GOOD.
b-bu-bu-but you only want it cancelled because you don't like how diverse and progressive it's gotte-
YES.
and I still genuinely could not tell you exactly how the climax is resolved.
The Master fell in the timehole, duh
is quite funny seeing the redditors refusing to watch the episode because a fucking cat got evaporated
and un-pierced nipples
Ruby/Millie is based for this thoughbeit
go back to r/DoctorWho you fucking fag
Just have season two end with Ncuti beginning to regenerate and a To Be Continued banner. That way when it comes back in over a decade it can be just like Eccleston’s debut. But hopefully with better effects!
a flop BBC audio series (so bad not even Big Finish took the pitch)
As someone who actually subjected myself to the first series of that shit back in 2022, the basic premise of it (everything and everyone who has ever known the Doctor being slowly eradicated out of history and the survivors have to fix it before it's too late) actually was ok, if fanwanky. Problem is it was dead on arrival thanks to the identity politics-driven OC donutsteels and I'm not just saying that. For instance, there's a bit where Yaz's family and Ryan disappear and there's a woke whine about how the police dgaf about muh BAMEs.
I will admit it was funny that the one to save universe was the unironic tranny. Turns out white trannies trump black dykes.
Bit mean.
Didn't a cat get killed in The Lodger too though
I distinctly remember a whole thing about the Doctor sending a cat up to the above flat as some spy then he later sees its skeleton when he enters the control room with Craig
It should be noted that Dawson's "books" are basically a long string of genuine nonce fanfiction about his underage OC donut steel character getting raped by older AIDS ridden faggots, i wish i was making this up but i'm not there's a very good reason why these books banned from being in children section of libraries.
Juno Dawson wrote wrote Torchwood audio and Doctor Who book. Apologize.
Am I missing some context? Is The Long Game politically significant?
there's a bit where Yaz's family and Ryan disappear and there's a woke whine about how the police dgaf about muh BAMEs.
But... Yaz is police?
They're looking for any excuse not to watch it, but don't want to say it's too gay and lame.
In all seriousness, both Ruby and Belinda are painfully mediocre. I'd pity the zoomers that have to call these their first companions but who the fuck am I kidding, they're too busy watching actual hot babes on TikTok and OnlyFans to give a fuck about Doctor Who.
Torchwood audio
Actual Torchwood, or post-Barrowman's-Willy-Incident Torchwood without Jack?
That's not what happened, the cat went down the stairs crying and the Doctor asked if it went upstairs.
The TARDIS rewound time to stop Earth being destroyed didn't it. Funny they used that trick again in Eve of the Daleks of all things.
Before Jack incident, but audio itself doesn't have Jack. Maybe she's written a few at this point, I don't remember.
The whole episode is about propaganda and fake news, so yes, probably. Actual political commentary and not just random exclamations.
Any of you use Tardisguide? How reliable are the user ratings for the Classic episodes?
Yeah you're right
The scene I was remembering I somehow misremembered a human skeleton as a cat's
youtube.com
You'd be surprised (or probably not) at how many redditors and twitterfags get genuinely pissed off that Chibnall had Yaz be a policewomanofficer.
Because, you know, ACAB, even when it's not a relevant character trait past the F a m's first episode
I thought that site closed down?
They're generally reliable anyway from my experience though I haven't used it in years
Yes, the Jagrafess and the Editor are basically jews.
she
tardis.guide
I've been using it to keep track of the Big Finish stuff I've been listening to.
Explain the 3000 years thing to me. Why that number?
a huge waste and another clear case of RTD being a primadona was how he introduced Tennant 14 and had him go directly from regeneration to the start of the first special with zero time in-between
it's like he wanted to make sure no one could write any Big Finish stories or novelizations about 14 that he didn't approve of, same with implying that the 9th doctor appeared in Rose almost immediately after regenerating
if they go with the rumored regeneration ending for the season, you know he's going to do it in a way that makes it clear that Ncuti's ONLY adventures were the ones that happened on-screen and give no room for audio stories or novelizations, just to be a prick
Cats can go fuck themselves but I will never forgive the Master for zapping that dog in Mark of the Rani. I like to think that the parallel universe Jackie's Rose doggo escaped the Cybermen.
another clear case of RTD being a primadona
like how he tried sabotaging Moffat before he even got started with season 5 by spending an entire special establishing regeneration as a death and having Tennant say "I don't want to go", to try and turn the fans on him
This goes way back to RTD himself. In Queer as Folk the gay guy shows up by the boy he's grooming's school yard and gets heckled by some 15 year old "homophobe" then tells the schoolboy that he needs a good fucking.
doggo
Go back, please
racist british government capitulated to trump over woke
I don't even know how to respond to that.
Yeah I know the site I just remembered hearing something about it closing down due to lack of funds or whatever
This is just part of life. Yes it's unsavoury and weird and creepy to you but that's just how gay men used to live. Shouldn't drama be realistic?
Good luck breastfeeding your kids with pierced nipples. It will be so messy, like when you rip open a milk carton wrong and it just goes everywhere but in the cup of tea.
Imagine seeing Booby Cumday attempting that with her own kid then getting into floods of tears when she realises she is unable to feed her own child. The tears keep falling as she realises this makes her as bad a mother as her own that abandoned her in the snow. With nothing to stop it milk just flows out of her tit holes and down her body, pooling on the floor as if she,was standing in a puddle of milk piss.
Actually, I will concede, that is kind of hot.
I just checked rankings for some stories and got these
The Visitation
3.44
The Androids of Tara
3.50
Talons of Weng-Chiang
3.33
Death to the Daleks
2.86
The Time Warrior
3.91
The Evil of the Daleks
4.06
Tomb of the Cybermen
3.96
It seems generally reasonable from what . I do not think Talons is as low as 3.33, but I am guessing that lowish ranking is do to people saying racism. I also do not think Death to the Daleks is as high to be close to a 3, but maybe that is just me and I am missing something. Probably works as a guideline, but I would take there rankings with a pinch of salt.
Dawson was intended to write an episode for the second series of Class, but the show was cancelled
disgusting tranny freak would have written a story about a tranny teacher molesting a student but portrayed as brave and wholesome.
fucking disgusting.
I don't think there was any significance to the number 3000 specifically. It's just that the Star Certificate had to fall through a time hole to turn the planet into Chandra World to catch up with her in the present day.
The fate of Rose is left vague. The audio story Flight Into Hull! [+] suggests that sometime after Jackie Tyler's Pete's World counterpart's death, but before 2010, she was either given up to a new home or had passed away.

She's going to shit on each and every one of them after binge eating at an all you can eat vindaloo bar.
I'm just shocked they depicted fags accurately as pedophilic predators
I'm not shocked that Britain was too cucked to not immediately re-institute indecency laws to target sodomy in response to the show
Speaking of Yaz you gotta love how her being Muslim was relevant for like 5 minutes. Come to think of it I don't think we've ever seen so much as a hijab on Doctor Who yet which in 2025 is fucking astonishing.
If they're framing it as okay or even cool to groom kids, not really. That's pretty heinous, to be honest.
I genuinely struggle to form a response to something that is so evidently wrong and degenerate.
Imagine seeing Booby Cumday attempting that with her own kid then getting into floods of tears when she realises she is unable to feed her own child
The tears keep falling as she realizes this makes her as bad a mother as her own that abandoned her in the snow
With nothing to stop it milk just flows out of her tit holes and down her body, pooling on the floor as if she,was standing in a puddle of milk piss.
I'm not shocked that Britain was too cucked to not immediately re-institute indecency laws
Section 28 was still in effect while Queer as Folk was airing
Reminder that RTD wrote in the Writer's Tale that he cast Francois Pandolfo in The Fires of Pompeii just so he could get an upskirt shot of him
She's not even American and it was before the whole George Floyd death too, how can that be possible?
At least we got Waifus of the Daleks. When it comes to Eccleston this is one time I approve of Big Finish cramming a million stories into a spot. RTD and his grand plans can get fucked.
I know you are asking about Classic, but that site ranks the latest episode at 3.55, The Legend of Ruby Sunday at 3.52, Empire of Death at 2.71, Space Babies at 2.63, Timeless Child at 2.64. So who knows what exactly people voting on that site think what is good, as yeah sure 2's are not high but they are closer to 2 than 3. Probably one of those things where you get a bunch of people giving what we would consider absolute shit 5 stars, and what we would consider kino classic serials 1s.
I mean don't hetero guys groom girls all the time? You'd be an absolutely hypocrite if you said that gays actually do it more. Grown men constantly try to fuck 15 year old girls, and that's bad. But that's just what happens in life, it sucks but it's true. Should we shy away from everything, pretend it doesn't exist to make the most sanitized version of television?
The whole thing about the police being systemically racist didn't begin with George Floyd, and it's definitely not a uniquely American preoccupation
People don't write TV shows celebrating it as part of their culture.
jews
There's a lot of that with the aliens Who, so much that we could give Trek a run for their money. There's the Slitheen, there's the Tivolians, there's that dude from the Frog dimension episode in Series 11, hell even the Abzorbaloff could count.
My headcanon has always been the "look at the ears" comment is referring to a haircut which makes his ears look more promient. His UNIT ID in Aliens of London is a photo of Eccleston with longer hair, too
How are the Slitheen and the Abzorbaloff jews?
You know this country is a joke when the mother of a black kid who was murdered gets a peerage solely for being said black kid's mum, and proceeds to contribute nothing but constant seethe about how Britain "murdered" her baby
Are you sure that RTD celebrates it? Things can be both good and bad simultaneously. You can be both homophobic and righfully against grooming. You can both be charismatic and funny and kind person while also being a groomer. Things in life are fucked up, you know? RTD just writes about gays instead of hetero people. The whole conceit of It's a Sin is that main character kills hundreds of people because he wanted to have gay sex.
The Slitheen love money so much that they tried to start a World War to make a profit. The Abzorbaloff farts on women of colour.
I think I would care less if it wasn't a celebrated show on mainstream TV, where actual children are going to see it, and get some kind of idea that that's something to be emulated.
If you're making an 18 rated film, for mature audiences, that's one thing.
Hell Bent goes in It's OK Tier honestly
muh lore shit
muh shit that got done to death in the novels and audios
Sexy zoomer doctor and the first historical figure he meets is Gordon Ramsey
I get you. But the alternative is prescriptive "you know it's bad, guys?" type of storytelling. Do you miss Orphan 55's ending with Jodie looking at the camera saying "remember climate change, kids?". Pick your poison. RTD writes fucked up flawed (to a shocking degree) people all the time. Have you seen Cucumber? Main character is literally an awful person piece of shit. And the show is all about gay men.
the show is only good if i wanna fuck the lead actor
I'm putting a team together
In many ways, this story shares thematic and conceptual parallels to COMIC: Evening's Empire [+]. In both stories, a young, misogynistic male finds himself in a world under his control, playing god with the lives of men and subjugating women. However, unlike Evening's Empire, The Robot Revolution does not explore the root of the antagonist's psyche — Alex Evening is shown to abuse people as he himself is abused by his deeply religious mother, while Alan Budd is portrayed in a less nuanced and more comical fashion.
The audios and novels are better than most of the show, so-
It's missing Chris.
Oh no! I didn't know he also did drag
youtube.com
Doctor Who will never reach this height ever again.
MY SIDES ARE IN ORBIT IN A PARRALEL WORLD
Terrible episode with a KINO ending
It seems an awful lot like a gay man trying to groom kids through the TV, is all I'm saying.
That's different to a TV show with a clunky moral. That's not what I'm talking about.
It wasn't terrible.
Hi GeenisAnon
It was kinda bad, desu
I read that as Greenis first.
Just got done catching up. How many of us actually watched it? It feels like 20 people at most.
just one taste please
I'll settle for a sniff
Not me
No point
As you should
I have not watched any new episode since Twice Upon a Time. I just get kept updated through osmosis.
I only watched the parts with AL.
I want to have sex with her. Is this weird? She's attractive.
It feels like 20 people at most.
Most anons don't come to /who/ threads to actually talk about the latest show. It is mostly anons entering to shitpost, lament what has happened, talk about old stuff, and off-topic post.
In the interest of gay representation can we have a slow and intimate make out session between Millie and Varada?
Why did you watch it? At this point I don't see how you can get anything at all out of watching new episodes - be that earnestly enjoying, watching it with someone else and riffing-on it, hate watching it, or discussing it.
You joke but 95% of twitter would support this.
It would be something for the dads.
Potential for shitkino.
I don't like indians
Three reasons: I am still friends with people who watch it obsessively, there is occasionally a good episode, and I want to see it die. Doctor Who is the last ongoing series that I watch. I've even finished all of my anime.
I only learnt it was released, basically by chance, after it was released. Goes to show how culturally dead the show is that there is no buzz at all.
Cringe
I think this episode's main issue was tone. The tone is extremely off. You go from a Christmas-level jolly plot to what is in all but name, a plot about rape. At the very least, it's a plot with strong themes of consent.
I forgot, what's the rape plot?
Yeah, posting that image really ain't gonna help your case, bud.
a plot about rape.
I haven't watched the episode to know the specifics (I gather there is something about incels, even if the term being used in the meaningless way it has become), but if that is a case then that is not something the show should even being doing. I am not one to shy away from kids being exposed to media that explores hard and complex themes (within reason and how it is handled), but that does not seem appropriate at all for a pre-teen audience. Doctor Who is, or at least should be a family show,. If it has to lean towards either adults or kids, I think should lean towards kids.
um
source for that webm?
Not the anon who posted it, but I want to say some episode of Black Mirror.
If the Doctor orgasms hard enough, do they regenerate?
I feel this way but about Mandip. Not usually into Indians but she's hot to me
Officer Khan will never handcuff you to her bed for calling her a Paki
It would be extremely pleasant.
Watching the new episode now. He's crying again...
for calling her a Paki
acting like she would not be into that
Mandip > Varada
Erm, anon, that is the positive masculinity young boys need to see. The 15th Doctor is a role-model.
They need to hire a cute pajeeta like 2018 Emilia Clarke
I am still friends with people who watch it obsessively
Bad taste or some form of autism compelling them?
She's barely Indian, which I think you fully know.
Russell has to answer for this
autism
They need to get better at sneaking in these easter eggs, this one was less than 4 minutes into the episode
Ruby = Rose
Belinda = Martha
They're even in the same order.
RTD is a hack
Uhh, I dun geddit
Yeah, they even made her throne a Marthavase
It's everywhere
villain is a an evil white man
all heros are black and brown
I hope this means we get a feisty busty redhead next
Doctor perv
Whoops it's upside down

You're the only person who finds this forced meme funny, Karenfag
copying the Clara arc from series 7 except the Doctor just tells her right away instead of keeping it secret
why?
No, it's totally different.
With Clara, a mysterious woman told the Companion to contact the Doctor.
With Bel, a mysterious man told the Doctor to contact the Companion.
Who's this Karenfag? sounds like a cool person
