So is the black guy still acting like the zestiest, creepiest homosexual caricature on television? Or did they finally make him a real Doctor?

The seasons were filmed back to back, so he's still zesty and still cries.

he doesn't even make it 20 minutes into the episode before crying

Imagine actually watching this special with your family on Christmas Day

He literally says "yas queen" in this episode.

Seeing Hugh Grant in Lair of the White Worm made me realise he could have pulled off being more of an action hero, if he had gone for those roles instead of typecasting himself as the romantic comedy guy. Maybe he could have been Bond.

Russell T. Davies is actively engaging in GROUP DEMONIZATION & MALICIOUS DEFAMATION.

carruthers-law.co.uk/our-services/defamation/damages-awards-in-defamation-claims/

Damages Awards in Defamation Claims.
A successful claimant in a defamation claim is entitled to recover, as general damages, a sum which will compensate them for the wrong suffered. That sum must compensate them for the damage to their reputation, vindicate their good name and take account of the distress and humiliation which the publication has caused.
In assessing damages, the most important factor is the seriousness of the libel. The more closely it touches their personal integrity, professional reputation and the core attributes of their personality, the more serious it is likely to be.

The extent of publication is important. A libel published to millions in a national newspaper has a much greater potential to cause damage than one published to a few people.

An award of damages enables the claimant to vindicate their reputation. The significance of this is much greater in a case where the defendant continues to assert the truth of the statement and refuses to retract it or fails to provide an apology, than in a case where the defendant acknowledges the falseness and apologises for the publication.

Compensatory damages may compensate for additional injury caused to the feelings by the conduct of the action by the defendant, such as when that person persists in asserting the publication was true, or refuses to apologise, or cross-examines the claimant in a very damaging or insulting way.

The initial measure of damages is the amount that would restore the claimant to the position they would have enjoyed had they not been defamed.

(PART1)

The woke aspects of these two seasons have been so fucking weird. It doesn't feel like activists deliberately subverting a franchise like, say, recent Star Trek. It feels like a middle manager bugging his staff to put pronouns in their email signatures after an allyship training course. Never once feel like RTD has strong feelings on this one way or the other. Just shoving in progressive words he's heard other people say because he's heard that's the 'in' thing these days.

My disdain for the modern age cannot be measured.
IMAGINE showing this to someone even in the 80s.

God damn that was so fucking shit. Why do i keep giving this show a chance. It's been 9 years since a good episode.

It was not enough to have niggers shoved into everything now oh here are some indians too..

God damn this earth;.

Boom from last year was decent

Never once feel like RTD has strong feelings on this one way or the other.

There. I just saved your gay show.

The Star Beast is the perfect example. All the non-binary stuff is just a load of vaguely progressive terms shoved together. Doesn't come across like he even understands what they mean never mind genuinely care about the issue. The terms is thrown around a lot but this is literal virtue signalling. He's just saying all the things he thinks people want him to.

some troons got pissed off because RTD conflated non-binary and tranny

There's no way you believe that.
The story mightve been OKAY but the script, actors, performance, editing, special effects and all other aspects were soulless, boring and poorly executed.

carruthers-law.co.uk/our-services/defamation/damages-awards-in-defamation-claims/

(PART2)
The initial measure of damages is the amount that would restore the claimant to the position they would have enjoyed had they not been defamed.

The existence and scale of any harm to reputation may be established by evidence or inferred. Evidence that tends to show as a fact a person was shunned, avoided, or taunted will be relevant.

The impact of a libel on a person’s reputation can be affected by:

Their position if they are a senior person such as a doctor.

The extent to which the publisher of the defamatory statement is authoritative and credible. The person may be someone known to be well placed to know the facts and as such believable, or they may appear to be unreliable.
The identities of the publishees is important. Publication to family, friends or work colleagues may be more harmful than that circulated to strangers. Although, those close to a claimant may be less likely to believe what has been stated.

The propensity to percolate particularly because of the internet and social media.
Damages may be aggravated if the defendant acts maliciously.

A person can only be compensated for injury to the reputation they had at the time of publication. If that person already had a bad reputation which is relevant to the defamation, that will reduce the harm, and reduce the damages, sometimes to zero.

Russell T. Davies deserves to be SUED along with the BBC for criminally defaming THE AVERAGE MAJORITY of men. Furthermore it defames 1 in 3 British men having a medical condition.

• 8.7% of British women never have sex with their partner
• 5.99% of British men never have sex with their partner
• 1 in 3 British men suffer from Erectile Dysfunction
===
In England, a significant portion of men are sexually inactive, with approximately 15.9% of residents aged 16-74 reporting being sexually inactive.

RTD1's LGBT messaging worked better because it was coming out during an era where LGBT content was slowly ramping up in media and very much some peoples first interactions with it.
RTD2 suffers a lot because there's been over 2 decades of LGBT messaging with bunch of stuff that's been outlined and told to us. Then Russel comes along. Looks at all the shit everyone else did and then tries to do it again, without getting any the reason or tact the original creators of those messages put into that work.
Russel's character work, the thing he's most praised for during his original tenure has essentially become a hollow shell of what it used to do with a man trying to apply concepts he's no real strong feelings or, or understanding of into his work because his ideal fans and supporters in his mind wants to see these things. The same issue applies with his clear misunderstanding of terminology he's using to try and own the groups he doesn't personally consider what he wants his audience to be.

Carry On Regenerating

All I'm saying is, if you're going to be a gay, at least be a cool gay. At least be John Waters or William Burroughs.
Russel T Davies is a pet of the BBC, which is to say he's an asset of the state, when you get down to it. There's nothing remotely cool or transgressive about him. He's about as cool as Rolf Harris.

Has that Master been in any other stories?

Russell T. Davies should've kept Steven Moffat in his production crew, not as an episode writer but as an editor and tard-wrangler that holds Russell's worst instincts in check. Moffat causes a mess when he's in the middle of things that's true, but when he watches from a distance his instincts are much better than Russell's. I still think of Russell filming that awful scene with 14 & Donna hanging out of the TARDIS and whooping during the intro, and Moffat just deadpan saying "cut that shit out" refusing to elaborate and thank god they listened to him.

but as an editor and tard-wrangler that holds Russell's worst instincts in check

Honey, if you think RTD has any humility left, I don't think you've been paying attention.

Bugger. Guess the Lucie Miller stuff is my stopping point then.

Has that Master been in any other stories?

IIRC he first appeared in UNIT: Dominion but just the fact he's in that story is a slightly unavoidable spoiler these days.

Just pirate it and listen. Theyre 1000x times better than what Doctoe Who is on television right now. And even if some of the stories are kinda weak, all of the performances in the Mcgann Box Sets are great, Mcgann himself being the crown jewel.

This zesty nigga is why I remain a Classic purist.

I never want to hear a bad comment about Space Babies ever again. That was the biggest load of shit I have seen since Orphan 55.

Watching live. From the comments in this thread I'm sure it's going to be great.

Anyone else popping into the thread just to say that they're still boycotting the show and don't plan to watch it ever again, but they're aware that a new episode is on now so they're going to lurk in this thread anyway?

Don't give them the ratings

The BBC has tricked me into finding Asian women attractive

I hate watched the Chinballs episodes, but now I'm not even watching it anymore. I just like to see the comments and memes on Anon Babble

I don't actually watch anymore. I'm lurking in different discussions hoping it might motivate me to watch it, but it does not.

Yeah i hate watch it by not actually watching it and just following it on here

How come all British Asians basically have the exact same accent no matter where they live in the UK?

Because the ones on TV are all hired in London.

Honestly she's pretty average looking nothing special. Not ugly but not a knock out, I'd honestly cast her as the best friend to the actual pretty lead.

Really I thought they were in Cardiff.

Indian paki monsters are not asian.
Fuck off with the propaganda.

Yup.
I'm not planning on watching the new season, but I'm still enough of a Who fan to care about the way the show's going. Kind of like when your football team is stuck at the bottom of the league and keeps playing like utter shite. Even if the thought of it depresses me, I still want it to get better.

It's meant to be about Tom Baker looking for somewhere to have a shit.

polish polish

Dumb bitch.

There's a lot of techno babble in it, but the Master and the Dalek time controller are fantastic in it. Molly is a great companion in it, and you vet to see 8 dealing with the loss of Lucy. Its not oerfext though for every stinker of a story in it there's a gem as well. The main real complaint I have is its not worth the price they’re asking for cut it in half and thats fair.

80% of the episode has taken place in this room in the cave

Budget problems?

What the fuck lmao.

the price they’re asking

he doesn't know

Imagine being Capaldi in that episode and having to be all like "damn River Song, you fuckin' fine, all sexy with your saggy skin and your permanently smug face. I would totally marry you, both as my previous regenerations and as the current me." when all he really wants to do is fuck a mentally ill schoolteacher from Blackpool. Like seriously, imagine having to be Capaldi and not only rot on Darillium for over two decades while River Song flaunts her disgusting body in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing her stretchmarks and leathery skin, and just stay there, day after day, year after year, while she enjoyed that 'marriage.' Not only having to tolerate her constant innuendos but her haughty attitude as everyone in the universe tells her she's STILL GOT IT and DAMN, RIVER SONG FLIRTS LIKE THAT?? because they're not the ones who have to stay there and watch her face contort into types of smirks you didn't even know existed before that day. You've been fucking nothing but a healthy diet of pure-blooded human females for your ENTIRE LIFE coming straight out of the loomies in Gallifrey. You've never even seen anything this fucking aggravating before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on her leathery neck as she winks suggestively at you, smugly assured that you are enjoying the opportunity to stand there and revel in her "saucy (for that is what she calls herself)" banter, the banter she practiced while fucking countless other aliens in the previous decades. And then the universe asks for more of your patience, and you know you could kill every single organism in this entire time zone before the Time Lords could put you down, but you stand there and endure, because you're the fucking Doctor. You're not going to risk the timeline's integrity over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.

It’s not AI

It’s AL

How did this shit get past the first draft of the script?

I'm still not over how Moffat accidentally compared covid believers to a suicide cult.

I honestly thought 12 and River had more chemistry in this single episode than 11 ever did

SHE SAID IT

Briggs Finish moving to boxsets instead of single stories was the beginning of the end for them.

They are the same age, roughly, so they play off more as a married couple. Moffat's old woman fetish is off-putting otherwise.

How is it Planet Of The Incels if there is only one guy? The rest of the people aren't in on it.

RTD thinks basic wordplay is really, really clever.

What's an AL Generator, though?

Sethu and her twin sister, Abhaya, were born in Kerala, India,[1] and are of Malayali ancestry.[2][1] Sethu's parents are both doctors. Having moved to the North East of England at a young age, she grew up in Benton, Tyne and Wear,[3] near Newcastle upon Tyne. Sethu attended Dame Allan’s Schools and was a member of the National Youth Theatre.[3] During her final year of sixth form, Sethu won the 2010 Miss Newcastle competition.[1]

I find Gatwa‘s overacting quite offputting
You?

During her final year of sixth form

Brits are goddamn butterflies, I knew it.

doctor who plot synopsis be like

Come follow DOCTOR WHO (played by the BBC's rising star ZIMBUBWI KNIFESHOOTY) and his trusty non-cis bipoc friend RANJEETA AL-MUHAMMEDDI. Join them as they foil the cishet white man EVIL INCELIUS plan to weaponize racism and anti-woman rhetoric, by harnessing the power of trans acceptance to power the Fart-Dildo-Machine-9000 and save the Earth!

How the fuck did they not notice all the debris? Also very convenient all the major landmarks are grouped together.

Eerily accurate.

I was actually giving this episode the benefit of the doubt for the most part. Like, it wasn't great. It was definitely one of those ones which plague NuWho where they spend more time standing around explaining what's going on than actually doing anything. But it was generally fine
Then the words, "coercive control," came out and it instantly lost any right to be treated charitably lmao

coercive control

Kek, the episode immediately shows that's not a real thing by having Belinda just leave him.

8 episodes this series

RTD is sole-writer for 4/8

co-writer for another 1

Enjoy.

It's a RTD's house episode

I wonder if he still has that Davros figurine from the imagine documentary kek

RTD wants to make episodes that tackle problematic concepts like racism or coercive control, but he can't actually show the baddies being too racist or controlling because that might trigger the audience (then he triggers them by killing a cat anyway)

Unexpected sequel

Midnight II confirmed

It's the 2020s. You can absolutely have a non-binary transsexual (because none of it has to make any sense).

Watched it. It's fine honestly. Not the best series opener but much better than Space Babies. I rate it 6/10.

You fell asleep half an hour in, didn't you.

I would like to know this.

Voice of the Robots: Nicholas Briggs

she read the script

Nope. Watched it all. It's fine, really. And by fine I mean "it's not embarrassing shit written like a total parody" it's an average episode which in the current sorry state of affairs feels like a win.

actually watching this shite

yuck.jpg - 904x682, 129.99K

The 'bouncing' bit just reminded me that the Doctor could have retrieved Amy & Rory by landing somewhere nearby and travelling a bit, or by landing some time earlier or later. In this episode, did he try arriving a day later/earlier?

it's an average episode which in the current sorry state of affairs feels like a win

18 years ago, it would've been considered a low point for the season
Today, it's a pleasant surprise

why did RTD decide to blow his big second chance?

Because he wanted Ncuti to blow him.

He doesn't care. Doctor Who is uncancellable and nobody else wants his position.

Doctor Who is uncancellable

its already been cancelled tho?

Doctor Who is uncancellable

unironically I think after this season the plug is getting pulled

Nobody wants the position except the handful of writers who came forward and displayed an interest in doing it.
Toby Whitehouse and J Michael Jr Shabadoo, at the very least.

It wasn't one of the few brands left that consistently made money for the BBC's commercial arm back in 1989. They already fucked up the Top Gear revenue, they're not going to let this one go so easily

NuWho is carried by 'vibes' and charisma and skillful directing a lot more than by the writing. This is why I enjoyed the Moffatt era even when the writing sucked, and that's why this new era with the black Doctor is a flop for me. RTD could write a good season perhaps but it matters little if the show feels inauthentic. S14 felt like it was been printed out by the Disney conveyer belt and the TARDIS team acted like they were constantly on expired antidepressants, faux-cheerful in an uneasy way. Hope S15 is an improvement in that regard.

ugly

the reboot series must have made them loads of cash, it used to be everywhere when I was a kid with toys and such
why they've decided to pitch to middle-aged tranny redditors is anyone's guess

The Long Game is great and becomes more relevant as time goes on.

the truth.jpg - 1276x736, 56.92K

Doctor Who is uncancellable

Screenshotted your post and I'll be making fun of it in a few months when the cancellation news are out.

I'll tell you why, it's because 1. Moffat can write for a spastic (11) and 2. Ncuti as a function of the plot couldn't move the entire time so he couldn’t prance around like the massive faggot he is

Excited to see the lows that RTD sinks to before the cancellation

chan stop exaggerating, chud tho

nooooooooooooooo... offputting? noooooooo

Boom wasn't good, the only reason it stands out in that shitheap of a series is because it's the one episode not written like parody and the characters are allowed to have gravitas. There are other episodes from S14 that should be better than Boom on paper but they flop because they're written like hyperpanto parodies with Ncuti Gatwa trying to be a fruity jester. In Boom he was restrained by Moffat and told to cut the clown shit and start acting, that's why it feels different.

Because aging Redditors are the demographic most willing to spend money on blu-rays and Made in China merch like picrel

The irony of what is at absolute minimum a 32 year old unmarried woman (going by the flashback the character would be even older than that) using the word incel is palpable.

Few weeks ago I was shopping at Walmart and saw a grown ass woman hopping around like a child because of some fucking mug.
There was a little girl on the aisle as well and the look she gave this bitch was priceless. She ran to her mother like get me the fuck out of here.
If you have a strange hobby okay but the way people who buy this trash act and are way too open about it is embarrassing.

a grown ass woman

clearly not then

This poster but a still from that Webm of his jorking it

She was a big girl
In her oversized sundress, flip flops, and sleeve of tattoos.

Space Babies is the worst episode of all time.

First episode had unironic incel shit throw around as an plot point, with a main monster design that looks like George Droyd cosplay

One of the episodes is a direct sequel to Midnight which will almost assuredly kill the mystique of that 2008 episode

The Eurovision-themed episode is written by a literal pedo transformer

The bi-generated Rani leak stuff looks like it might be moronic enough to be true given the Sutekh twist from last year

RTD Still tiptoeing around the fact that the show is going to go off air for the foreseeable future after this season ends it's air date

It's not really that hard to see how low this will sink beneath the iceberg.

I've never watched Space Babies or even a clip but I concur

Just what I want in my Dr Who, mystery meat ethnic doing stank face and bemoaning incels. Shan't!

They are in Asia so they are.

That opening scene where it clicks immediately that the actor who plays the "boyfriend" is a homo as soon as he starts speaking.

There's no mystery meat about it. She's 100% pureblood Indian. Shit, she's so fucking inbred that her descendants look exactly the same 3000 years later.

Ncuti is better than Jodie ever was. That's not saying much, but it's true.

why do you think that

Fun fact, I was 17 when the show was revived in 2005, and I've live watched pretty much every episode between 2005-2017 before I dumped the show, and (apart from teh TV license I guess), I've never spent a single penny on any Doctor Who show stuff related to the new show.
All my purchases have been classic who based only.
I've got three 4th doctor scarves, a 4th doctor waistcoat, a 4th doctor poster, a 4th Doctor sonic screwdriver, The Scream Of The Shalka DVD & novelisation, some vintage Target DW novelisations spanning the 3nd-4th doctors, and two of the old Virgin novels featuring the 4th doctor (system shock & millennium shock).

DW will probably never get another penny from me at this rate. Fuck the new show.

You're a based anon, probably.

If it was like l being mistaken for I, I get it but no they were just looking at L at the wrong angle all this time

Ncuti has some level of charm. Jodie was just... nothingy. She was just annoying and weird. Doesn't help that the writing for Jodie made her into an amoral coward.

I have me moments.

Bet you incels are fuming

I usually drop by Who threads to see if there are any discussions related to Classic Who/it's EU content, and maybe to laugh at the occasional meme edits of NU-NU-Who(see Sutekhposting from last year as a prime example).

All my purchases have been classic who based only.

By all accounts, the best selling stuff in recent years has been 'The Collection' BDs. Successful enough to even spin it off to Blakes 7, and it seems to have triggered a big push at the BBC to try and get as much of their old '70s/'80s drama catalogue out onto BD as possible. No one wants a mug of the bird people from Rogue, but they do want to see a high quality version of City of Death or whatever

Luckily I am not an incel, I am a volcel.

Blake's 7 gets a Blu-ray release thanks to Classic Who

Deep Space Nine and Voyager still not remastered

Get your shit together, Trekkies!

How did Balinda know the name of the TARDIS?

To think about it, it's quite sad that the stuff that was made fucking decades ago on a shoestring budget people still want to pay to watch it, rather than whatever new horsehit they're pumping out onto streaming that's being propped up and subsidized by Disney+.
shows how far the show has fallen. fucking cancel it already

this boy got me acting unwise

I've started buying Classic dvds. I've got a mate at work who's really into old school Doctor Who, so he's given me some recommendations. I'm debating whether or not to pick up entire seasons other than Trial of a Time Lord.

How does it feel to see all three of the biggest longest lasting sci-fi franchises ever made (Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who) all to turn to absolute fucking shit in your lifetime?

This second wilderness years period is going to lead to even worse Doctor Who, if it ever comes back. It'll be the fags who like the current shite output who will come out the other side as the people running the show.
Or America will finally reboot it as their own thing.

She also calculated 50 generations is 3000 years very quickly too, she's suspicious af

character's whole backstory is that he was a boyfriend

"planet of the incels"

huh?

Old school "live" television won't even exist 20 years from now. It'll just be streaming sites and government news channels and that'll be it.
Cable & satellite bundles will be replaced by streaming bundles and one by one people will just stop tuning in altogether.
Doctor Who has no fucking future.

That just means she never fucked him

This second wilderness years

I don't think there will even be a second Wilderness Years, I just think the show is dead. For good. Yeah we'll get fan stuff and maybe books or BF but the main televised form of the show will die and won't come back. That's my prediction but it'll take a long time to see if it happens.

why do chuds complain about space babies when it is easily better than the entirety of matt smith's tenure?

honestly you have to be very high IQ to appreciate space babies

why can't RTD just make horny bi-kino like the good old days

Weak b8 m8

Agreed, the show is doomed now; RTD is intent on cratering the show's reputation.

I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I absolutely fucking hated the Tennant specials. Bringign him back as a """new""" incarnation was just a masssive flashing red neon "WE'RE CREATIVELY BANKRUPT" sign and it only got worse from there.

in retrospect it's probably a good thing that River never knew about Clara
imagine building your entire identity around being "the Doctor's woman" and then finding out you've been a walking corpse to him since day one, and that he punched a diamond wall for 4.5bln years and broke the barrier between life and death for some frumpy womanlet teacher

Every single bad thing about NuWho basically relates to all the stupid "romantic" shit that happens. River, Rose, all total shite

The Wilderness Years as we know them were the product of a very particular set of circumstances, mostly in that you had a small clique within the fanbase who were all mates with one another and managed to insert themselves into positions of legitimacy (editing/writing the licensed novels, producing licensed audio plays, editing/writing for the licensed magazine, etc.). It really revolved around that central clique, you can argue over whether it should be called the Fitzroy Club or whatever (and honestly, the nexus point being a pub in fucking Soho goes a long way to explaining why there were so many poofters among them, which has now been used to retroactively write the history of Doctor Who fandom as being predominantly queers), but it was the existence of that semi-incestuous kernel of fanboys that were able to firstly cling to a sense of legitimacy by keeping 'official' Doctor Who going, and secondly to then leverage their increasingly influential positions in the British media sphere to get Doctor Who back on TV (modified to fit their view of what it should be, of course). You'd never get that today. Online fandom's too decentralised and everyone's off in their own little walled garden, be it Discord or a Subreddit or whatever else. The Brand™ is too big to hand off to upstart geeks like that, the BBC aren't going to let that kind of approach occur anymore. And traditional media is slowly atrophying anyway, climbing up to a position like that of RTD circa 2003 is just beyond belief nowadays

I'd be interested in seeing the sales figures for the Blu-ray of nuSeason 1 vs whatever recent Collection season has just released.

The whole River arc feels like it's ultimately a joke at her expense. I don't know if you were meant to take that away from it. The Doctor at no point seems like he's actually engaged in the relationship, as much as playing along, seeing where the plot takes him.

One day I'm going to spend shitloads of money collecting all the Classic DW blurays. But as it's all still on iPlayer, ehhhh

But as it's all still on iPlayer, ehhhh

At least for now. An Unearthly Child isn't on there, and the two stories by Robert Banks Stewart were removed after only about a year.

The Doctor at no point seems like he's actually engaged in the relationship, as much as playing along, seeing where the plot takes him.

i'm pretty sure that was the idea from the start. it's a time travel shotgun wedding of a sorts, more of a curiosity and mystery to solev for him, and River's final episode is predicated on them acknowledging it's all been a farce most of the time

two stories by Robert Banks Stewart were removed after only about a year.

wtf why?

Rights issues, presumably. Stewart's estate probably got an expiry date included in their iPlayer deal.
Rights are also why An Unearthly Child isn't on there either, since Anthony Coburn's son refused to let the BBC stream it in protest of the current state of the show back in 2023 (a protest which is increasingly justified)

"Our programmes are only available for a set amount of time and after this expires, they are removed from iPlayer. How long we can make content available for comes down to the rights agreements, or there could be legal or technical issues that affects it. We aim to make programmes available for as long as we possibly can."

Basically, the estate must have only agreed for it to go on iPlayer for 1 year, and there's been no agreement to extend it

I think the licence for the episodes was only for a year

Funnily enough I'd argue that Capaldi's meeting with River is the only time I felt like they actually had a real connection. In her very first appearance I felt like she did a great job of getting the feel of someone who did have a history with the doctor but obviously tennant had to play that specifically as not knowing her, and in her last appearance she finally feels like she and the doctor actually have something together
but that's it - all of matt smith's episodes with her don't really do much

From late 2022. I wasn't off by much.

late 2022.jpg - 1516x636, 628.07K

The show took a daring anti-islam stance and no one noticed.

guy just wanted a quick fuck

his girl kept gatekeeping her pussy

he lost his mind

even after the breakup, his ex didn’t let him move out and literally trapped him in a giant metal box, waiting for the day she’d come back

The best episode of nu-nu Doctor Who so far. Women are the true makers of incels

Why does your version of Anon Babble look so fucking nauseous?

This is the worst Doctor Who episode of the revival. How did this even get made? It's more akin to a feverdream or a hazy nightmare from the mind of a brain damaged person than an episode. The editing and directing is shambolic, the dialogue is The Room tier, the Thasmin shit never even existed in the show and is just Chibnall trying to appeal to 12 twitter lunatics, this is garbage. All the scenes with the Sea Devils are like someone pushed the filmstrip into an office shredder and just taped together what came out. What the fuck was this?

I remember Russell and Moffat having bad episodes too but that was because I didn't agree with writing decisions. At least those were still competent television that felt like it was created by healthy adults. Legend of the Sea Devils is more akin to a brain damaged grad student trying his hand at a real television episode.

it's funny how Tate got so fat and she basically waddled when she had to run

who is this made for?

none of this is disney's blame, this is all RTD's fault

Isn't this after she lost a tonne of weight? I'm confused

It's not justified at all. Stopping people from watching the very first story because of the current state of the show is just petty and vindictive and makes him look like an absolute shitstain

I can't wait until the time we get more info and gossip about the behind the scenes for Chibnall's era, because there's so many messy, woefully amateur episodes like this one. Legend is just the messiest of the lot.

Did they seriously explain the Boom connection by going "she's a descendant who looks exactly the same despite living thousands of years in the future"?
Would have been so much better if they just ignored it but for some reason Doctor Who fans are autists who demand an explanation why a prominent character looks like another character who scratched their balls several years ago in the SJA or whatever

Well he's leaving the rights to Russia when he dies so seethe more lib

Tate got so fat and she basically waddled when she had to run

This is the most I've been interested in Doctor Who in years.

So your ok with losing access to the very first Doctor Who story just because the current iteration of the show is shit?

Boom

Can we talk about how weird this episode's worlbuilding was? I'm really vexed by it.

Like Moffat made an anti-war episode where he made sure to excise any reference to politicians or military commanders, just a bunch of soldiers blundering into war zone for no reason. And everyone thinks it's the best thing ever.

DEWIT

Depends, does she have tits bigger than her head?

2005-2009 was corny cheap goyslop but it was often comfy and charming
2010-2017 was conceited pompous pseudshit but it was often poetic and rewarding if you could stomach the conceit
2018-2022 was a disjointed incoherent hollow mess, no buts here
2023-now is soulless disneyfied audience-hostile propaganda but somehow it's still better television than 2018-2022
cancellation will be a mercy killing really, nuwho reached its natural creative conclusion years ago
classic doctor who is a completely different show altogether and the more years go by the less similarities i see with it and nuwho

Million dollar question. It seemed like that go-to response to any criticism of the last season was, "IT'S NOT FOR YOU, CHUD!!!" but who the fuck was it even for then?
Space Babies was actually for little kids, right? Snot monster and fart-powered spaceship, overall tone was light with a little bit of terror just sprinkled on top. That's fine, got it. It's for under-10s. But then it's immediately followed up with The Devil's Chord, which obviously leans heavily on cultural awareness of The Beatles (and I really don't think a lot of media-types appreciate how quickly the Beatles are losing cultural capital with young people, they've not exactly dropped off like Elvis but they aren't all that far behind), and wants to court the Drag Race audience, which I'm fairly sure are meant to be teenage-and-older women and gays. Then later on you get Rogue, which is very overtly lamp-shading Bridgerton, a series I am very certain is not meant for the under-10s, snot-monster demographic, while also being full of Tumblr-tier nerd culture references like cosplay and D&D (as if anyone in Britain actually gives a fuck about D&D, this is true blue wargaming country, none of that am-dram roleplaying bollocks). Meanwhile, sandwiched in the middle of the season you've got 73 Yards, which is more of a spooky, MR James-y kind of ghost story with a loose sci-fi twist. Is that really aimed at the same demo as any of those other 3? Are all of these really for the same audience?

We've gotten little bits. Reminder the entire sequence in the first New Year's Special with the woman who got possessed by the Dalek? That part was written for Yaz, but then Chibnall decided to send the cast to America for a publicity tour at the last moment, had to hastily come up with a new character to fill Yaz' roll in the plot and it was such a mess the director decided to never work on Who again.

I don't think it's the best thing in season 14 because of the world building, I think it's the best thing in season 14 because everything else is absolute shit (and it's the only episode where I felt like ncuti actually embodied the doctor and not just the zesty buck)

Yeah, I'm just really bothered by this setup.

And everyone thinks it's the best thing ever.

Not really, it's comfortably average for Moffat's stuff. It just stands out in S14 because it's the one episode where Ncuti isn't acting like a the gayest clown in the galaxy.

Whilst we're shitting on Catherine Tate I will say that it must have been pretty damn easy for her to virtue signal with the whole Ross Noble thing when irl she has a daughter who actually looks like her and not a trans muttoid abomination.

He said 51st (maybe 50th) century, so it's easy to work out 3000 years. 50 generations would be much less than 3000 years

SJA

Speaking of which why does she have the same surname as our Rani? Does RTD know only one Indian surname.

Anthony Coburn's son refused to let the BBC stream it in protest of the current state of the show back in 2023

holy fucking based

classic doctor who is a completely different show altogether and the more years go by the less similarities i see with it and nuwho

wisdom comes with age

ruseel t davies continues to lose the plot but the cyber incel was based and should come back

It's like watching someone trying to tape a document back together after it's been through a shredder.
They have a bunch of the pieces but it's missing bits to make it legitimate.

I worked this out in roughly 2006-2007 when I first binged Classic on Dailymotion. I realised the new show was completely misunderstanding what the show was supposed to be and I've been of the same opinion ever since.
It was the Tennant/Rose horseshit that radicalised me desu

They doubled down and made it part of the season's mystery.

The Eccleston season was fucking terrible too. Early Big Finish was lightyears of that nonense.

It was a cool design at least. Reminded me of Tim Shaw from the Chibnall Era.

There should be SOME consequences.

Keep googling for a BBC stream of the episode and getting lots of lewd discouraging results

There is a rumour going around that LotSD was one which got hacked apart in editing, because when it went to post-production a lot of people working on it started to worry that some chunks of the rough cuts were actually really racially insensitive to Chinamen. Totally unsubstantiated as yet, it's all just anonymous internet people claiming to have been on the VFX team. But it'd explain a lot

Imagine "Tim Shaw" being your introduction to Doctor Who

Done. I need for McCoy arcs but I'm desperate to get paid.

for

Ah, for fuck's sake.

He's cool, but he's no Corakinus

p04d3cjp.jpg - 336x504, 20.08K

"IT'S NOT FOR YOU, CHUD!!!" but who the fuck was it even for then?

A fair weather niche of mostly female Tumblr and Reddit types with money to burn.
Those demographic never stay long.
They get bored or the tiniest thing they don't like sends them off.
Long time Who fans are like battered wives who complain but still put up with the franchises worst moments.
When they told them to go away it was a terrible mistake because those are the ones that will stick with this garbage thought the thick and thin. Not some rainbow haired male feminist who desperately wanted a female Doctor, got her, then fucked off.

How do you watch Ian's AI recons? I get the impression you need to join his Facebook and donate some money. The boat may have sailed on the opportunity for anyone new to get in if that's the case. Just genuinely curious

Chibnall really felt like he was trying to do sci-fi cliche but kept missing the mark. Like he tried to do a predator but he just hunts random civilians. And then he tried to hype him up.

If he was an evil bounty hunter doing a rite of passage, it might make more sense.

I'm surprised, and kind of impressed that Tim Shaw of all people got referenced in Doctor Who. Do people even know who he is? I used to listen to him on Kerrang, when he would do "hilarious pranks".
He was a bit of a cunt, in retrospect.

Said source was proven right enough of the time that I'm inclined to believe them.

Fun fact: The role of Fugitive Doctor was originally written for Whoopi Goldberg but she caught pneumonia just before filming was about to begin so Jo Martin was brought in as a replacement.

And that's looking increasingly like cancelation. Removing the shows history be shouldn't be one of them.

I found Belinda's down to Earth annoyance at the ridiculous situation to be too predictable from a modern Who companion. 20 years ago it might have been somewhat subversive, but definitely not any more.

Fuck me, Class was a shit show but it had some damn cool-looking monsters. There was that Dragon that looked so good they put it in the Whoniverse ident.

It's only hurting the BBC. People can find the episodes elsewhere.

I wonder if the Beeb will ever reaslise that the fandom of 15-20 fucking years ago have long moved on and they need to make an actual quality fucking show rather than just queerbait for chronically online losers if they want it to survive?
No of course not, RTD will make damn sure of that

on another note, what's the tagline for RTD2 to add to pic related?

Does RTD know only one Indian surname.

He does this with all his characters tbf. Just likes reusing names. Rose Tyler is reused from one of his earlier shows cos he saw it as a lucky charm.

The Gayest Show in the Galaxy

I know I'm outing myself as a broccoli head but I didn't know that Tim Shaw was a reference to an actual bloke. I always figured they made it up as a Joe Everyman-type name.

God damn this episode fucking stinks. 20 minutes in and it’s just dreck

I would suggest they make it into a more kid's show or family show but then they'd be gooming youngsters with this bullshit

I read a new buzzword on Buzzfeed

(Does Buzzfeed still exist?)

kek, perfect.

Give RTD2 that line Chibnall currently has, and give something else to ChibWho instead about how boring and amateur it is.

I know Ncuti cried again but at least they established a valid enough reason this time. Knew the girl for 6 months and promised he'd travel with her, that's reason enough. But still funny that we can't go an episode without tears streaming down his mug.

I'm 36 and i haven't got a fucking clue who that is

God I miss time wimey bollocks
Yeah the stories were absolute nonsense with rushed endings but they were fun

Belinda kino

I knew about Ianto Jones and Vivien Rook, but not Rose. I do remember that in Life on Mars (which wasn't even RTD) they gave John Simm's character the surname Tyler after Rose, so that's some Human Centipede shit.

and give something else to ChibWho instead about how boring and amateur it is.

"I saw another scif-fi show once"

Rose Tyler is reused from one of his earlier shows

The 'Tyler family' thing go back to his first published Doctor Who story (the one where the Doctor rails a line of coke so he can go into the psychic realm and mind-battle the Great Vampires)

Just watched the episode. It was okay. Liked the concept, but could do without the lip service. The season long plot seems like it's shit from the start though. He's just stalking Boom woman's ancestor because she looks the same.

Everything since Matt Smith left has been essentially awful. Capaldi had a small number of okay episodes, but the show just keeps cratering in quality.

I honestly think writers are trying to kill it. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Simpler times.
Well, not simpler at all, really fucking convoluted.
In fact forget 'simple' compeltely.
God Moffat really thought he was so fucking clever didn't he? What a wanker

11th.jpg - 409x409, 17.15K

It's his version of "ALLONSY" at this point.

I did not understand the timey wimey of this episode. It sounded like trash. Is it not a bootstrap paradox somehow?

I am so dissatsfied with Doctor Who, I'm contemplating starting to write an all-original fan fiction continuation of it.

And this contemplation made me randomly realize that I don't think there's a single companion in new or old who who wore glasses, which I found a bit an omission.

They Still Make Doctor Who?

He definitely is 'clever', but being 'clever' writer is kind of a cheap trick.

come up with a 'clever' idea

present it to the audience

the audience recognises it as 'clever'

being able to recognise it makes the audience feel 'clever'

they overlook that the story is a load of bollocks, because you subtly stroked their ego

Everything since Matt Smith left has been essentially awful. Capaldi had a small number of okay episodes, but the show just keeps cratering in quality.

That's why I dropped the show back in 2017. Capaldi was amazing but I coul see they were just doing the same old shit. When they went a whole fucking YEAR with no DW and then Capaldi announced he was already leaving before he'd done his third year, I just gave up. I really thought he'd be "my" doctor, he was the kind of Doctor I'd been waiting for since 2005, but the show just didn't know what to do with him, and the fandom the show had didn't appreciate Classic at all because they wanted another Tennant to gush over... it was just so fucking depressing.

And I'll get flak for this but the Moffat/11 years were much better and more consistent quality than the RTD/10 soap opera crap.

Amy wears glasses but only in Angels in Manhatten which is her last episode anyway

Yeah, that's supposed to be her getting old, she wasn't like that in her natural state.

Kerrang radio presenter from Birmingham. Also a Fifth Gear presenter. Inventor of the rubber ice cube tray.
Like the most minor of minor celebrities.

the one where the Doctor rails a line of coke so he can go into the psychic realm and mind-battle the Great Vampires

That's bullshit but I believe it.

pic related

It was what he did to Sherlock that showed me the Emperors clothes. How he just flat out refused to resolve the Reichenback Falls cliffhanger and just outright insulted the audience for 2 hours instead, what a cunt.
When he tried to come back with that Dracula show, I turned it off as soon as I saw his name in the credits. Not going to fool me again sunshine.

I don't think it's been resolved yet; the Doctor still has that certificate at the end of the episode, but it somehow has to end up in the Incelotron-5000's hands in the (relative) past, right?

I am so dissatsfied with Doctor Who, I'm contemplating starting to write an all-original fan fiction continuation of it.

He who fights monsters, something something

And this contemplation made me randomly realize that I don't think there's a single companion in new or old who who wore glasses, which I found a bit an omission.

They make a point of Amy wearing them in The Angels Take Manhattan "AHHHHH AMELIA HAS GERONIMO'D STRAIGHT INTO HAGDOM, QUICK I NEED TO FIND ME A PRE-WALL CLARA OSWALD" but otherwise it's weird to think that you're right.

I know people love to defend Capaldi's run but they hamstrung him from the get go.

love SJA as a kid because Sarah's a cool nan

grow up, watch Classic

love Sarah Jane because she's unbelievably qt

Today I will remind them:

“I could do all the male stuff – I was captain of the sports team and I’d get very physical on the field,” [Eccleston] says, “but I also had this interest in femininity. When I did my first play at Eccles college, Lock Up Your Daughters, I wore mascara and I was like: ‘This is fucking brilliant!’ I was expressing on the outside what I felt on the inside.”

[Eccleston] was never confused about his sexuality, although he says he has always appreciated male beauty. His relationship with his male friends had always been especially intimate, too: “It’s a terrible word, but there were suspicions,” he says, “because of how we were together.”

His doctors told him that there was a severe imbalance in his brain chemistry and he was put on high doses of medication. The trigger might have been the split from his wife, and the guilt around not seeing his children, but Eccleston’s problems had been brewing for years. Since childhood, he had suffered from body image problems. He wanted to be androgynous – “Still do, because I feel like a prop forward” – but he knew his mum and dad wouldn’t have tolerated their kid dabbling in eye liner on the streets of working-class Salford, where he grew up.

Eccleston troon arc when?

sogay.jpg - 432x529, 19.62K

Capaldi was the last Classic Doctor.
The fandom didn't fucking deserve him.
Neither did the show.
neither did we

Capaldi was a good Doctor but his run was not good television

I think it holds as long as the certificate gets given to him later.

More clever than RTD.

in fairness being a gay man in wales in this time period probably meant Russ's blood was more cocaine than blood at the time

Damaged Goods, full thing's up on Internet Archive my man. Big Finish adapted it a couple of years ago too, if that's more your thing
They also get a cure for HIV out of the whole adventure

Capaldi had the best era of the entire show.

The N-Form

That's racist

A good 50% of actors are closet troons. It used to be higher, in fact, back when the theater didn't allow women performers.

Sounds very Joycean so I'll allow it

But even if we close the circle on the certificate. The robots only go and get Alan because Belinda tells them to, and the robots on go and get Belinda because Alan tells them to. Where does the loop start.

'Even more progressive this time'.

It had Heaven Sent so it was.

A vastly more important question is:
who the fuck cares?

this show cannot get cancelled soon enough

Alright so what happened? Was it really an incel planet?

I adore some things about Capaldi's run and think its reputation is already better than its reputation when it aired. But overall at the end of the day too many of the guest writers were shit (only Moffat and Mathieson delivered kino) and overall it was a bit charmless and unfun compared to the previous series.

It is le time paradox, it does not have to make le sense, now stop asking questions and let the next episode play

Planet of the Trannies.

guy enslaved an entire planet because it was similar to his video games and he was mad that the new companion rejected his marriage proposal.

In a way, yeah

Is it not a bootstrap paradox somehow?

Yes. Belinda gets dragged off to marry Al, but Al is only there because Belinda says to go and get him while she's being taken there on Al's orders.

Does the 'same atoms in the same place' stuff really not contradict anything previously done in Who?

falling for obvious ragebait

retards

The loop would have to start when they pick up Belinda. Presumably they were going to get Belinda anyway because of the certificate in her name before Belinda told them to get Alan, who then after living there for 10 years made it a loop where he tells them to get Belinda, which then leads to her telling them about Alan.

If this is ragebait it's not exactly helping considering that the show is on the brink of being cancelled.

start off new doc by having him get over all of his previous trauma

the next few seasons repeat what happened in RTD1, basically making it look like he learned nothing.

new companion gets abducted by robots who want her to be their queen

they want her to be their queen because her ex-boyfriend gave her one of those star certificates you get as a cop-out present when you can't think of anything decent to get them, but don't want to give money because it's too impersonal

she says they should get the ex-boyfriend instead

on the way back to the robot planet, they go through some time eddy or something

the time eddy delays them by 10 years

by the time companion gets to the planet, the robots have already retrieved the boyfriend and installed him as a cyborg king

the reason they went to get her in the first place was because the robot overlord ordered them to, and he wants her to be his cyborg queen, because he's still seething about her breaking up with him

I dunno. I can kind of see McCoy's Doctor taking coke to fight interdimensional vampires.
He's not going to not take it, is he?

For me, the show begins and ends with the classic run then the Eighth Doctor carries the torch. I don't consider the revival to be part of the same canon.

No one knows maybe they'll leak at some point

If it is ragebait, it's surprisingly well timed to come out within like a month of Adolescence making evil incels the current cause celebre of British media discussion

the show is on the brink of being cancelled in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, etc.
the BBC isn't gonna can their most successful property

Ncuti's first series reminded me why I hate RTD's style. How whenever he's not 100% confident that the story is actually good he'll just turn up the camp to the point of embarrassment and hope it'll dull the viewer's critical faculties, and 98% of the Ncuti's series was like this. Like the worst bits of New Earth nonstop except very gay as well.
I wish I could prop up Moffat's recent episode as some kind of better opposite but Boom wasn't good either - but at least it had the balls to be itself instead of insecurely joking its way out of being taken seriously.

You never watched the classic series or the TV movie, though

I've watched the lot.

Thinking about it, out of all the Doctors, 7 is probably the one most likely to do coke. 11 probably would too, if Matt Smith's deano-tier personal life is anything to go by. 4 can't be far behind, though I feel he'd object to it for some reason.

why does he have to walk around and jump and sashay around the fucking room incessantly? all while acting violently homosexual. STAND STILL YOU FUCKING SPASTIC

BBC channel energy

you guys say that every year.

Well this year might truly be the year, considering everything points towards cancellation and even RTD's all but confirmed it.

I kind of know the Doctor’s reached the status of like Robin Hood. Sometimes there might be a pause, and during that pause, the viewers of Newsround now will grow up a few years and start writing stories and they’ll bring it back. So I have absolute faith that that will survive because I am living proof of it and that's what happens to good ideas. No good idea ever dies.

Just so you know the line is usually "no no it's NEVER getting cancelled it's 100% continuing forever" so RTD talking about the show reaching a form that might have to continue through fanfic is... telling.

tic.jpg - 630x1200, 64.19K

How did you get into this franchise?
What is your favorite NuWho Doctor, NuWho companion and story

apart from teh TV license I guess

Why? There's nothing left to watch on Freeview.

4 would rather snort the white powder at the bottom of his packet of jelly babies.

Gladiators, innit.

I wouldn't be surprised if it gets put on ice for a few years, so we can all get the bad taste out of our mouths.

Talking Pictures TV is sound

We need John Noble doctor while he's still alive.

the people praising this episode aren't fucking human

no no it's NEVER getting cancelled it's 100% continuing forever"

He basically did.

so RTD talking about the show reaching a form that might have to continue through fanfic

because that's what happened in the 80s. The show went on "hiatus" and the fans continued it through novels and audio dramas.

I think it's mostly relief that it wasn't as embarrassing as Space Babies or Empire of Death.
If there are people genuinely praising it, then they're flesh automatons or just haven't seen an actually good episode in years.

Don't worry, they don't think we're human either, so it all balances out.

viewers of Newsround now will grow up a few years and start writing stories and they’ll bring it back

this fucking geriatric retard thinks the kids are still watching newsround holy shit
we need a total purge of the boomeroid class in this country, utterly sclerotic retards fuck me

it wasn't as embarrassing

it wasn't? are you sure?

take your meds

Do they still make that?
Television, I mean.

are we regenerating?

he's stuck in the 1990s, explains why he thinks gay and tranny shit is in any way subversive

stop responding to yourself

come to general to discuss the episode

it's just retards doomposting for the nth time in a row.

why hasn't this general been banned yet? there's barely anyone discussing the actual story

we're not interested in troon RTD pedo -who retard, go back to Anon Babblegallifrey

1952 small town America

oh god, it's happening again

It's all but been admitted that Disney Who isn't getting a third season, which you would know if you weren't a boardie.

youtu.be/oEcij0ARkmU?t=47 starts playing

10 sprints into a room full of Eastenders extras doomed to die, doing his running Tennantface™

looks directly into the camera as it zooms onto his rabid stare

music quietens down

...

"OI'M THA DOC-TAH."

victorious trumpets start ringing in the background

sparks begin to fly behind 10 to enunciate his speech

"I'm 904 years old, WEEELL, 11 months, WEEELL, 13 days, WEEELL, 2 hours, WEEELL, 29 minutes, WEEELL 33 seconds old (fuck Big Finish gaps)."

angelic choir starts singing in the background as every guest character's jaw disconnects from their skull and drops to the ground

"I am the Last of the Time Lords, the Space Jesus Lonely God™, the highest authority who's going to save all 93 gazillion people in the whole wide universe!"

Kylie Minogue faints out of awe as Murray Gold's overly bombastic music blows out the eardrums of everyone on set, all side characters instantly die as a result

"You got a problum wiv dat, m8? Do you hate fun? In that case, ALLOOONSEEE, Well, I say allonsy but it's really more of a BREELLEEANT, HA!! Ooh, WOT?"

10 spreads his hands out in a Christ-on-the-cross pose as angelic figures fly him up towards the heaven's little shop, while a pipe organ in the soundtrack reaches crescendo

he ascends into the heavens and warps into a Protoss Archon as youtube.com/watch?v=2LlRFJBSA8E starts playing

Was it kino?

Most of the new stuff has felt like random episodes from RTD's first run, the ones between the good ones that most people vaguely remember but ultimately can't really describe. In that sense, they're watchable but it really means that the show can't ever succeed. Like the new companion this episode adjusted to everything way too quickly.

They're weird and cringe when they break the "show don't tell" rule. I know this is supposed to be a kids show, but ever since they made the cringiest possible retelling of the Rosa Parks story it became a staple somehow. Although signs of it began with the last season of 12th. And I actually very much like the show being woke, it's been its core value since the beginning. I just don't like it when it's a lecture and you, the viewer, are almost treated as a bad guy yourself, or at least as an uneducated brute.

We already discussed it when it came out this morning. Wake up earlier next time.

doomposting

Doomposting would be saying this series gets to continue under showrunner Juno Dawson or whatever
The series getting cancelled and never returning is genuinely the best possible outcome

RTD is a 60 year old gay man who has worked all his life in the UK state broadcaster, he couldn't be more out of touch

And I actually very much like the show being woke, it's been its core value since the beginning.

shut the fuck up retard

the new companion this episode adjusted to everything way too quickly

I actually liked that, it's not a common occurrence (and such characters are usually temporary companions that get killed off of dropped off shortly, as Doctor doesn't gel with that kind), and they've set it up well. Nurses are basically in Doctor mode 24/7, even though they deal with more "mundane" problems. They navigate chaos, it's their job.

There's not much to discuss. It's still DisneyWho which means it overall feels inauthetic and plastic, it's still got the same overly fruity Doctor, the companion is still gonna be a remix of how RTD writes women (this time it's gonna be mostly Martha), it's still the same style and 'feeling' as before, it's still doing companion mystery boxstuff, and this time there wasn't anything glaringly soulcrushingly bad or lore shattering about the episode. What do you even wanna talk about in it?

Apparently one of the episodes in this season is going to be a sequel to a previous episode. Do any leakfags know which episode is getting a sequel?

Midnight

probably a 73 yards sequel

Russell said on Unleashed that it was "unexpected", it can't be one from last year.

It's all but been admitted

If you weren't a boardie or a woke grifter, you would know that people have been speculating on the show getting canceled ever since eccleston. any hint or rumor is irrelevant until it's officially confirmed.
It's worse now because of faggots like you taking the tinest hint and running wild

No reaction.gif - 256x256, 6.73K

Midnight, apparently
according to the leaks the outside crystal monsters that you never saw in the 1st one reveal themselves and they're an entirely transgender species who are trying to kill all creatures that are sexually dimorphic

I've heard that rumour as well and Rusty shitting on his (arguable) best episode would the cherry on the cake of him ruining his legacy.

mfw still a Tennantfag because i love his Doctor Who series but nowadays embarrassed because Tennant not only disrespected the show's tradition by accepting an extra regeneration but has also become a disturbing weirdo IRL

What do you even wanna talk about in it?

Why are you pretending that discussing the actual plot of the episode is worse than just spamming the same point about the show getting canceled or anons getting ragebaited by a single line? I refuse to believe that you're an actual human being

its a small fluffy creature, they can't see its bits they are just calling it he, so asking if its a boy or girl isnt that bad, plus they get in a joke about the doctors name, The Meep,The Doctor

h-he didn't outright deny or confirm it!! it's getting canceled!!!

kill yourself

wtf you're really gonna pretend that what's happening right now is on par with the 5 Classic Who boomers who didn't like Eccleston. You're like the gaslighters who defend Star Trek Discovery by saying everyone hated TNG in the beginning.

It is. 34 minutes in.

just to add to this the guy was fine. He had seemingly moved on and was at home gaming but the robots stole him and while he was eager to be king he got merged with metal and was in agony for 10 years so you could say the magic wore off in year 1.

Also Im not sure how he came up with all the advance technology (from the pov of locals)

They turn the guy into a sperm in an egg and he gets carried off by a roomba while they laugh.

feels like the ep had number of rewrites and they stitched together some nonsense.
so indirectly its her fault all those people died but the show ends with her lecturing the doctor about how he did not get her consent for a DNA test.
