Twin peaks but actually good

I'd expect some soap opera bullshit from the cover, so could you explain what makes it good?

bump

both shows are good
talented writers, actors, just overall quality

Everybody in that pic is still Alive in 2025

Blessed & soulful

Pretty good show. There was a later one, called Due South that didn't last long. It was OK. The director of this show also did the first new James Bond, in '06, which is one of the reasons it was so damned good.

New York jew arrives in alaskan town, after they offer to pay off his med-school bills, in return for serving as the town doctor. Turns out small alaskan village does not have the same way of life as Manhattan. Typical hilarity ensues.

The show was surpirisingly deep, as in, you start watching it from the corner oy your eye, then you suddenly sit down, start paying attention, and it touches your soul. It was and still is a very atypical show, one of a kind. I still cannot put it in any other category. In a way it is a total opposite of Friends, for example.

and he was also the director of goldeneye

ed is literally me

couldn't get over how obnoxious and neurotic the jew was. cut him out and the show would have been better

???? This is nothing like Twin Peaks aside from being set in a mountain town

what does due south have to do with those other shows?

twin peaks is good it just isn't what pseuds and people whose entire identity is invested in image want to think it is.

For 90s kids whose parents watched both they blended into a mixture of comfy and spooky, this is something gen xers wouldn't understand as they were busy doing cool 90s shit like slonking and pogging, but for us mid 80s born kids we were able to experience something special. Twin Exposure.

it's called bait anon. ya got baited. fooled. hoodwinked. bamboozled. one over on ya. ya got got.

That's what happens in the later seasons when
David Chase takes over the show and it sucked.

they're both good and completely different kinds of show

Magical realism fish-out-of-water sitcom
Excellent writing, acting, editing, unforgettable characters
Banging hot women all over the place
The first 4 seasons are as good as it got in the 90s and the show is extremely 90s
Then it turns into kind of a cartoon version of itself and then the main character quits so they hack it up for another 2 seasons or something

But then you just have fish in water.

No way something like this would come out of a modern writers' room

Banging hot women all over the place

uh i must have missed this

The love interest and the barmaid were what passed for a hot TV actress in the 90s. The sexiest things on TV were Beverly Hills 90210 spin-offs and Baywatch and shit. There was like one PG-13 sex scene every season, that's it.

I really don't like Ruth-anne, I don't know if it's the character or the actress. I rewatched recently and fast forwarded every scene she was in

My mom hates white people but really enjoyed this show. I like to make fun of her for it.

I do this to shelly, I can't stand that bitch she is the worst actress on the show considering she's playing a hot bimbo her exact age

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has released all six seasons on DVD in Regions 1, 2 and 4. The Region 1 DVD releases have caused controversy among the show's fans due to their high prices and the changes to the soundtrack introduced in order to lower their costs.[27] The release of Season 1 contained the original music, but retailed for $60 due to the cost of music licensing. Subsequent seasons replaced most of the music with generic elevator-style music, resulting in a lower-cost release. The first and second seasons were also rereleased together in packaging that matches the third through sixth seasons. On July 21, 2020, Northern Exposure was rereleased by Shout! Factory, containing all 110 episodes but not with all original music.[28] The Region 2 editions released in Germany on DVD contain all the original music.

Music clearance is such an annoying issue for older tv shows.

She's extremely annoying but she is hot. They didn't delve into the big feet storyline enough

comfy/10

She MILFed up pretty nicely.

It's crazy Maurice is still around. He's a great actor. He might be my favorite character in Northern Exposure. He played the guy at the end of No Country for old Men, and he was in better call saul.

Northern Exposure

JEW

twin peaks had several 10/10s

Just torrent it

Saw him on an episode of 'Yellowstone' and was similarly surprised to see him still acting.

Sure but you have to make sure those aren't rips from the DVD sets with the replacement music.

this was the mos jewish show I have ever seen

It starts a a fish out of water story。

fancy New Yorker doctor has to serve in small town

But develops into a super comfy soft drama about the real America home on the range, where seldom is heard a discouraging word.

I haven't watched the entire series but from what I saw, he's portrayed as a neurotic Jew and that's not see in a positive light.

you're a retard
