Honestly cannot remember him wearing anything particularly "zesty." I think the closest I remember is he took a Christmas card photo with his wife and kids and they were all in matching pajamas but that isn't really zesty I dont think. The film stars Tariq because he would feel that no other actor could encapsulate the experience of being buck broken by a white man, quite like himself. It's set in Alabama because that's where the most racist white men are. It starts and it's right on the eve of the Civil War for more atmospheric tension. His name is Kainyechukwuekene (meaning praise the lord). He worked the fields all his life but has finally made it to Massa Whitmann's house where he serves food and generally oversees the duties of the female servants (he is the only male servant working in the house; which is unusual as servants are always women). One night he awakens from his slumber to noises coming from behind the house. He sneaks there undetected only to see Massa Whitmann with two other white plantation hands punishing a field negro who tried to escape. He witnesses Massa Whitmann ferociously raping the suspected escapee from behind. To his surprise, the escapee, while seemingly shocked at his situation, seems to be enjoying it, as indicated by him ejaculating mid rape. This suspects escapee was one of Massa's favourites, which has him question...could the same fate be instilled upon him if he stepped out of line in a serious way? Kainyechukwuekene sets out to find out if Massa would break his trust. The plot unfolds as he strives to push his overseer limits; seemingly on a secret quest to see how much it would take for Massa Whitmann to buckbreak him.
