When you're bringing back old villains, or referencing old faces you don't need to bring that baggage with you unless it's something that you can't use without bringing that baggage back in. And I think there's a very small amount of things that are truly like that. For example if the show references Ncuti it'll be fine, if the show references Tecteun that's when you should be worried.
