Smile 2 was surprisingly better than Smile

Agree.
It's bizarre to me to watch a modern horror movie and think that's it's decently written + shot.
I'm just so used to them being complete shit that i was impressed with Smile 2.

Yeah, I have a couple friends that shit all over both movies. I don't get how they didn't recognize that it was well made at least

I like how the director can just make new rules

Not hard to accomplish, the first one is It Follows tier
Sequel made me realize this shit only works as a completely over the top panic onslaught

whatever guy made the dummy of her did a fantastic job at getting her legs spot on

I think the movie is overall better, yeah, but I still prefer the first one for the monster reveal alone. It just looks better, apart from some minor technical details.

I really liked it but I gotta say I was disappointed that Kyle Gallner died in the first 5 minutes. That was a sequel idea that would've been absolute kino.

Crazy how the last 10 minutes of Smile and the first 10 minutes of Smile 2 are so good, it should be it's own thing.

I really did enjoy it, I must admit.

was surprised he died so early cause he was by far the most likeable actor in the whole series

hippa

yeah, I kind of wish he was the guy helping her out later in the movie

It's the second best in the trilogy:
1. Truth or Dare
2. Smile 2
3. Smile

Truth or Dare

Such a dog shit movie kek. Also Laura Hasn't Slept (2020) is the first of the Smile trilogy, goofball.

hey that’s a cool shirt, can I sign it?

[This is a screen cap and quotation of a scene from the movie Smile 2, not off topic posting.]

Nah. The atmosphere in the first before you knew what was going on was top tier.
Second is still good, the novelty just kind of wore off for me.

It's easier to feel sympathetic towards Rose than Skye imo

I kind of like the idea that the Smile monster had so much more fun tormenting Skye because she was a horrible person

be a bit awkward and have a skin condition

get treated like a smile monster

wtf bros

How was she horrible

Some anon on here said he read the script for Smile 3 and that guy with the skin condition is like the lead character or something

I mean she killed her boyfriend by grabbing the steering wheel of the car and forcing them off the road.

I was to distracted by the Voss water product placement, what a weird choice kek

Yeah he was being an asshole and they were both drunk/high

Both films was Satanic

You can't just kill someone because of the way they spoke to you Eddie.

well i hope so because smile 1 was total fucking garbage and i shit on the retards who recommended it

It's just.. whatever. Like something to put on netlifx while you fuck your gf or do some shit. Not the kind of movie you or ayone will remember in 10/20 years. Pretty okay as a first movie for a director. Had maybe 2/3 genuinly good scene and that one in the apartment that made me lol.

She didn’t intend to kill him it was just some impulsive move cause by being under the influence

It was still a really shitty thing to do. High or not.

By the end I wasn't even convinced it was product placement. Like she chugs it and looks horribly uncomfortable each time. She has to force it down.
If I was Voss and I paid for that I would want a refund.

I forgot why that was. Something about any time she felt the need to do drugs she was supposed to drink a full one? I guess the actress actually did it each time and she said she almost threw up on some takes

The first one is one of the best selling horror films of all-time, so it'll definitely be remembered.

shut up faggot.

Directors have always done this shit from Freddy to Scream to Final Destination.

The rules can always change

It’s supposed to be a sober way of dealing with anxiety and panic attacks

every scare in the movie is framed vertically to be easily viewed on a smartphone

minutes-long unbroken music video scene

two gay best friend characters

le heckin' save britney plotline

This 1000% was a movie made for clip farming on tiktok and if you disagree you are a chud and objectively wrong.

It was weird to me that the actress always has dark hair in real life but then I barely even recognized her in the movie during flashbacks with dark hair

IMG_0545.jpg - 300x451, 26.05K

Nah.

It’s strange that you’ve thought all of this up and are wrong about almost every single thing

Cope

you're really invested in this movie huh

i wanna work in special effects and do shit like this. shit is kino

puppet2.png - 1524x878, 2.24M

Smile 3 coming soon, look out for a 2026 release date

I don't get how they didn't recognize that it was well made at least

It's derivative.

DOCTOR I NEED A NEW BRAIN

skey.png - 810x362, 249.46K

What? It's proven to be a worthwhile series and will be remembered whether you like it or not. The box office numbers prove it. So, keep coping.

This. The guys who did the special effects for The Thing (2011) do the ones for Smile.

She looks like jada stevens.

jada.png - 707x737, 649.41K

No she looks like Sarah michelle gellar stupid coombot

more like jada to me, speaking of which im craving some jadakino now.

Same

Keep in mind these movies sprung from a short, it makes sense the director excels at short scenes.

she was actually cutest when dressed down in the rehab

like the original ones before they decided to scrap the practical and do shitty CGI? i remember the original footage looking kino

This one surprisingly had very little CGI. Apart from the particle effects, the monster in Smile was all practical.

idiot take

There's only two rules: your life history will kill you, and nobody includiing yourself will believe in the Smile until it's too late.

When is Frown coming out

right, i've watched the making of video on youtube and it is awesome. i just hated the final product of The Thing. i don't get why they ditched all the practical effects

That's its title in Australia

At least the creature design was cool. The design for Smile was great imo. Not incredibly unique, I mean, looks like the Tarman from Return of the Living Dead, but still so uncanny with the multiple mouths. And the sequence alone of the face rip was great, I really enjoyed it. The second one was also good, although we never got a POV of Skye looking at the Monstrosity with the mouths all opened, just one of it smiling as it pops out of the doppelganger. There was suppose to be one as per the story board, but they cut it in favor of the POV of Skye and the doppelganger before she goes on stage for the finale. In any case it was cool, and I'm really hoping the next one is even bigger, and more all consuming with dread, not to mention something with practical effects at the center.

Sander-Thing.png - 660x965, 780.64K

lol, no, it wasn't

directors have always done this

therefore it's OK

80% of the movie was all in her head

Nah
