they filmed the originals on a mix of greenscreen, indoor sets (e.g. the great hall) and some real castles (mostly for outdoor scenes)
i think many of the original sets are now on display so alot of them will need to be remade

They're gonna reuse the Hedwig theme, mark my words. They KNOW nothing can match the iconic theme. If the series can't stand on it's own merits, it shouldn't exist.

They still have time to replace Lithgow with Pierce Brosnan. He can even do the irish accent like dumbledore and his brother had in the movie- oh wait

casting Lithgow makes me think they asked a bunch of more obvious older British thesps but got turned down by them all.

no one would bat an eye at people looking like that in medieval times. Not everyone back then was as pale as Erling Haaland

Never paid enough attention to the Welsh to notice, they can be very pale sometimes as well. Im a Scot and used to a pretty sharp distinction between white natives and browner foreigners but thats never seemed as much the case further south I guess.
