This time they are using 2 of their bigger IP's as the lead up to the next avengers movies. (FF and Brand new day) They know that naturally these films will not flop so when people see these they will get a hint of what's to come in doomsday. The lead up film to Infinity War was Thor ragnorak which was fine box office wise, but disney does not want to risk a flop before the next avengers movie now so they have to pull out the heavy hitter (spidey) beforehand.
