/hor/ - Horror General

Lmfao. I'm kind of surprised nobody has made a cop found footage horror.

Cops have guns. It wouldn't work unless you set it in some shithole like bongland.

a bodycam ff would be kino

paranormal creatures that don't care about bullets, or enough monsters for them to go out of bullets would work too.

the newest vhs has a segment with cops and zombies

how about instead of cops it's hitmen in a shithole like England (it's England)

cop investigates increasingly strange callouts

perps get arrested but are increasingly incoherent

Is this any good?

yes

Someone should do one with the format of one of these channels. Like how Horror in the High Desert copies the true crime tv show format.

First horror movie you watched?

be 7

dad lets me watch the ring with him

get so scared by it I would take my tv out of my room for years so she wouldn't come out of the tv to get me

Sounds kino.

It's part family drama, part sci-fi, part horror. But the horror parts are legendary.
Same deal with Communion.

not really horror per say but Aliens. i was 4.
aunt's cat attacked me during a scary scene the film. made an awful allergic reaction, couldn't breathe, had to go to the emergency...
kino

i saw Das Ding a year after maybe

I don't remember the first, but

older sister rents Curse of Michael Myers

I watch some of it with them and see the gut stabbing scene

decades of nightmares about being hunted by Michael Myers ensues

Cops discover something supernatural and extremely dangerous to a point government suits come in and censor the footage and tell the cops lies about gas leak. The haunted house/dark forest gets a government quarantine zoned and rumors and stories about military people disappearing inside start spreading around.

Cops shooting guns in the darkness and it doesn't do shit.

Hearing colleagues scream in the other room or their walkie talkies going silent after an announcement of an emergency.

Their superiors and military personnel all being visibly nervous when trying to ask them what happened or guarding the quarantine zone.

Cops starring in a horror movie works just fine, theres nothing scarier than government officials trying to control the situation but being equally powerless to solve it, despite being as professional as possible. The haunting effectively turns into a small Chernobyl where only solution is try and contain it or at the very least prevent people from getting near it.

Ghosts and demons are too scary. Need to ease into horror by watching action horror like Predator and Aliens. I loved those as a kid.

It's not ff though

the more horror films I watch the more ideas I come up with because I wish they existed.
another idea I had is a movie about a guy who becomes fed up with bad drivers in his city. and so he tracks them down and plans how to purposefully get into gets into freak accidents with them where they'll be found at fault.

aunt's cat attacked me during a scary scene the film

kek, are you still that allergic now?

government suits come in and censor the footage

did you see Dashcam? not the annie hardy one but the other one. it's a conspiracy thriller but I thought it does that well.

nope. i may have a scratchy nose once in a while but nothing like i used to. i don't have asthma anymore either(lost at puberty)
i'm glad cause i love kitters

Sleepy Hollow

I'd watch it.

What would you do in this situation? Do you fight the evil spirit for your wife or setup the cuck chair?

I saw bits and pieces of horror movies growing up (one of my earliest memories was drinking from a bottle and seeing Mark's death in Nightmare 5 on tv) but the first full horror movie I saw was Friday the 13th part 8 when I was 4/5, the only part that scared me was when he got the toxic waste in his face and took off the mask. The only time I've ever hid behind the couch.

Definitely

My first exposures to horror were the ending of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Friday the 13th Part 3.

recommend me some horror-comedy kinos.

Some like it Rare

Do you fight the evil spirit for your wife

she's the one sinning, I'd fight her

Is this any good?

s-l1600.jpg - 641x960, 133.81K

sometimes that's where they're hiding

would and would

That's sick. And horror related. Nice.

I like the episode in the X-Files where they take photographs and there are horrible faces swirling around in the photo

yes

little spook got spooked

Pottery

they went too far :(

Thats an automatic divorce because double marriage is illegal and the bitch was clearly lying about her past.

Things that have spooked me over the years:
First two I remember.

The pastor getting vaporized in The War of the Worlds (1953)

youtube.com/watch?v=BqEtnF57Glk&t=1m29s

Banshee from Darby O'Gill and the Little People (1959)

youtube.com/watch?v=5ZMU0rcp-hk&t=44s
These ones later on.

Lady in room 237 from The Shining (1980)

youtube.com/watch?v=YdSYmvAkDeE&t=35s

Ghosts from Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

youtube.com/watch?v=YcR9k8o4I0w&t=47s

Nazi dream sequence from An American Werewolf in London (1981)

youtube.com/watch?v=RiEj7KUDhjA&t=26s

Video tape from The Ring (2002)

youtube.com/watch?v=qkVlC2WgEwc

Spider alien from Love, Death & Robots (2019)

youtube.com/watch?v=OVcJbkLJEuI&t=29s

Monster from Smile (2022)

youtube.com/watch?v=CylLsVpfwmY&t=48s

RAPE

Eggers won't have the balls to put anything as epic as the werewolf nazi scene in his period piece.
I'm gonna watch that Love Death Robots episode now.

Don't know why faggots opretend this is the dogs bollocks tried tio watch it twice and nothing happens until the end and even then its like 2 minutes of Nothing, so no dont ever watch this overrated piece if shit, its all fake anyway

You guys have any hopes for this one?

hq720.jpg - 686x386, 54.25K

Not really. I mean I'm guessing it's a bleak film but I feel like way too many modern films lean on this as a crutch. You have to earn it otherwise it feels pointless.

As far as I an remember it was quite enjoyable, particularly the bits with Nicholson hamming it up.

enjoyed this. I like fun simple horrors like this. It was quite charming

poor baby

Another day, another new depth of mental retardation plumbed by a muttpost

Not a horror movie but my mom took me to a kid's thing where there was a big bad wolf and i hid under my chair for the rest of the performance

dam. i'd watch the shout out of that. very Mars Attacks inspired art

Does anime VHS count? This redmane bear scared the shit out of nordic kids in the 90's.

youtu.be/8Eh0e6DhIXQ?si=mmvbv4j1WBMEKIRU

Its like Lord of the Rings mixed with Lassie, where brave mountain dogs travel through Japan to recruit a whole army of dogs to fight a group of horror movie man-eating bears. Imagine instead of mass of orcs, Aragorn and Legolas fight an army of Balrogs.

Akakabuto.png - 500x400, 297.63K

Reminds me of Metal Slug (not that I ever legitimately got this far)

metal slug.png - 912x672, 781.81K

brvtal

so Sinners is just a black version of From Dusk Till Dawn with a really boring first act?

Oy vey

the final act isn't as good as FDTD either. the vamps singing songs and shiny eyes was the best part.
