It’s a pretty hot balance. She would be the biggest fish in a small pond but she’s swimming with sharks. She has to be on her A game and 110% effort all day every day to compete and the moment she slips up, the whole thing crashes down.

It’s easy to imagine that she would want to be dominant in the bedroom for a little taste of that absolute power and order she craves. Yet when she’s totally alone with nobody to watch her, she would be a shaking anxious mess and probably drinking to calm her nerves. She would probably think of herself as weak and pathetic in those moments and maybe ready to have the sexual dynamics reversed at those times.

I don’t think it quite stands up to the OT but it’s a pretty good movie on the shoulders of giants and I’ve stood by it from day one as a person who’s hated pretty much anything Disney has done except Andor (but I also hated a ton of the old EU too). Star Wars is a cool setting because, while the Republic/Empire span the diameter of the galaxy, most of it is just a hyperspace corridor toll collection agency, and the known corridors connect to like 12% of the stars in the Galaxy maybe fewer.
Especially out in the rim, most galactic territory is entirely untouched by the hyperspace routes so there's teeming life and civilization all over the galaxy that just has nothing to do with the Republic.

The Chiss are awesome because their basically soft Sith, and probably an empire as large as at least the Romulan or Klingon, but they just most ignore the outside and they get ignored, but they often ally with Sith for some reason.
