The video tapes are unnerving at least, and it's an alright concept. I didn't mind the second one either. I watched every Insidious last October for the first time, and those were extremely underwhelming.

Thats how early 2010s horror works. They usually tinkering with the idea of home invasion or family stuff. They are doing religious horror with the likes of conjuring - challenging the idea that god cant save you in demon situation or family horror with the likes of insidious, women in black, or sinister - where your own children leads you to horror situation. Main demographics? Parents or young parents of course
