Reviews are mixed apparently because it doesn’t mock exclusively anti-vax/anti-mask right wingers but is more of a “there were nutjobs all around” type of satire. Not to mention that we’re all still experiencing 2020 fatigue since those politics and attitudes are quite active today.

Not really. Never got into his stuff. I like jewish filmmakers like Zahler and Mamet but Aster might be too neurotic for me.

I heard ZC got offered $20 million to reboot RE because the test screenings of Weapons were so well-received. I heard back then that it was like a "3-hour horror movie version of PTA's Magnolia" but now it looks like the movie has been cut down to 2h 8m.
