Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

there are people who consider it the best of the 3 prequels

some people even claim it's on par with Empire Strikes Back

LMAO

The RLM reviews told me to hate this movie

Nobody with half a brain needs the RLM guys opinion to confirm this movie is shit

I, SISSYcas, JOBBER of the film industry, humbly kneel to:

CHADklasa-sama, my master, who mindraped me into selling Star Wars to white slavers

Iger-sama, my one true love and other master

Cameron-sama, who’s box office I will never surpass

Coppola-sama, who I will never have more Oscars than

Kennedy-sama, who beat the shit out of me so hard I started being attracted to femdom almost as much as I am attracted to men.

Spielberg-sama, whose incomparabily forceful punches crushed my ass-womb like I was Heather O'Rourke

Abram’s-sama, who abandoned my ideas for the sequel trilogy like a used condom (EVEN THOUGH Iger-sama promised that he would listen to my ideas)

he thinks phantom menace and attack of the clones are better

embarrassing

Prequels > Originals

Also: VI > IV > V

The same people that prefer predator two over the original? Those guys have pretty good opinions.

I don't think anyone should care about what Reddit Letter Media has to say

You're brown

Sequel trilogy is actually kino

Seriously fuck James Earl Jones

gave Disney permission to replicate his Vader voice with AI before he died

they will surely do this going forward, even though they have also done it in the past with good soundalike actors

It's the beginning of the end for voice acting in general

if i pull that helmet off, will he die?

George raped Vader before all of this

OT>ST>PT

this is the moment my film brain activated and noticed what bad acting was.

Did you not see Star Wars (1977), starring Mark Hamill?

I don't really know what peoples problem with this scene is
Its old school dramatic framing
Dude just found out he threw away everything for nothing
What did people want, a sobbing Vader heavily breathing through the mask?

Even in the OT he was hammy as fuck people just accepted it because of the novelty
its not even the first time we get a NOOOOOOOOOOO scene

youtu.be/_lOT2p_FCvA?si=El89u7Vwuhnsykd_

Main issue is that the directing made it come off a bit too goofy.

Was cynicism starting to take root at the time?
I can get how a bunch of people who liked deconstructions and grounded realism would have found it hammy
It felt melodramatic, but I can enjoy that in my space wizard film

Nah, it's clear Lucas was going for a Frankenstein scene, but the way it is framed and the directed comes off extremely campy, bordering on parody, when that moment, after the fight with Kenobi and all that, required a much more dramatic outburst of emotion from Vader. It needed more punch. But the way it is framed and shot evokes a Wes Anderson style approach.
It's just tonally off.
Considering this is the emotional culmination of three movies of buildup it just comes off goofy and weird.

Luke is still kinda wimpy and just had a bombshell dropped on him, his voice sounds pained and devastated, deep ass bass voice James Earl Jones screaming NOOOO just sounds ridiculous and I like RoTS

Why does Disney hate recasting shit?

According to Kathleen, the idea of recasting is off the table BECAUSE of the reception Solo had. The lesson learned was that people will not accept a new actor in any role, not that the product sucked major ass.

you guys are ruining the board with your constant star wars slop threads.

Idk people with deep ass bass voice also experience pain and some of them even raise their voice occasionally, doesnt seem silly to me
Rewatching the scene I think what really gives it an awkward feeling is how he releases himself from the bindings and his stilted movements getting off the thing
Its kinda goofy, but he a cyborg so whatever

I watched the movies as an adult and desu the NOOOOO scene worked for me, wish everything in the prequels did but they still had cool stuff
But I mean, Vader himself comes off as kinda cheesy in the OT for me, so maybe I just had a tolerance for it

Bail Organa in Andor 2 was a different guy.

Solo was OK it was just released way too soon after TLJ. Also I didn’t get what they were doing with the feminist robot

I remember their review for Hawk the Slayer. They complained there was no black people.

Basedlo is horrible garbage but making fun of it is like making fun of a cripple, it's pointless.

Pretty sure there's a difference between a supporting guy who barely shows up throughout the saga and fucking Han Solo

That seems like serious cope. People didn’t dislike Solo because they didn’t have an actor doing his best Harrison Ford impression. The story itself was pretty shitty except for the ending where he shoots first.

Nah, it's clear Lucas was going for a Frankenstein scene,

And be failed because the art is less is more is beyond him. Perfect example is when Lucas added “Nooooo!” part when Vader sees emperor killing his son and picks him up. Original unaltered version Vader like Frankenstein says nothing when turns on emperor and picks him
up. Far superior and more powerful but Lucas fucked it up

Lucas adds whatever he wants to his movies, also the "NOOOO" is an element you can find in every star wars movie, because Lucas like echoing things. It just went over your head like many other things

The Frankenstein walk, the stretching out his arms, all the way into screaming NOOOOOO is a combination for just not being able to take it seriously. You don't see Vader really emote this much in the OT, you'll get him pissed off a couple times, or solemn like when he's dying, but not really melodramatic. Seeing him act like this is just strange and funny. If they had Hayden before the surgery delivering his lines the scene could've been way more effective, then you cut to him post-surgery in full Vader attire overlooking the construction of the Death Star. The way it was executed just came off too goofy

It had no story.

well it had a story but it was extremely jewish

You know, that would have been even more Kino
Have Hayden do the NOOOOOO bit as he's being put into the armor with his burnt ass face exposed

Then you wouldnt get the pottery of him doing the nooo again in rotj

the lego version ended up having a better version

Anakin is a human and he was cut up by Obi-Wan barely few hours before, I know that you guys don't understand character developement but Vader became Vader over time, him shouting a big "NOOOO" after he learnt that Padme died makes total sense. And your sentient about what would've looked cool is peak reddit

Sounds like garbage, pretty much what you would see in a fan fiction movie

It's just the same scene moved like a few minutes back in universe to prevent the scene from looking as goofy as it did
But whatever makes you feel superior I guess

No one should care what these youtubers have to say. The prequels are the worse movies ever made next to the sequels and all of Disney Wars.

Based & sissypilled.

The prequels are actually among the best movie ever made

I think Lucas was trying to correct the popular characterization of Vader as this stoic badass and arguably overcorrected with portraying his first canonical appearance in the suit as an utterly pathetic shell of a man

Vader saying "Padme" was worse

sissypilled

those have been outlawed man

Yeah on planet retard

Or maybe he was trying to show that he was human? You know at the part where gains his humanity back and does the right thing?
