Agree. I think kdrama suffers from the same issue, along with Hollywood, in attempting to portray a smart independent female that doesn't need a man but can chose to be with one as a equal partner. So Hollywood has girl bosses that can fight bad guys for 2 hours, get shot, and still look good in a wife beater shirt. They make the female the power center and the male a fool or worse. kdrama the female has a bus load of adoring males, mostly eunuchs, but there is this one guy that is a bandaid master. She, by no fault of her own, kinda down and needs a pick me up selfless cheerleader but not an owner coach. He never puts any pressure on her, never gets angry, never questions her motive or where she disappears too. She feels better about herself and ready to fight the world and be all she can be and experience other men and he WAITS. The male is a chump not a champ.

I hate kdrama romance that nearly always has one woman that cannot decide on one man. Usually when she kinda goes for the ML she and the 2ML spend a day and/or night together as she gently lets him know now isn't the time the ML gets a shot but she always leaves the door open. In shows like Masters Sun and Miss Night and Day the FL spends more time with the SML than the ML. Miss Night and Day the ML got the old one but the SML spent all night every night with the young one
