Spoilers for Bring Her Back
Laura, the foster mom, clearly wants the kids. She does a bunch of things to seperate Andy from his blind sister because he can tell something is wrong and a mix of brother instinct. Andy also wants to make friends with Oliver, the blind and mute boy. Andy thinks he is mute for real so offers him some notes for writing and a melon with a knife. Andy clearly thinks Oliver would grab the melon from the knife so got surprised Oliver bit it, knife and all. Andy tries to get medical help by going over the salt circle that surrounding the house, but Oliver has a seizure when he went passes over. So Andy left him alone to call an ambulance and Laura, who found them, got pissed.
Andy cleary thinks that something is up now when Oliver is plainly suicidal such as breaking his teeth while chomping a table so he calls child services. A man from child services comes over and Andy changes his mind from 'getting help' to 'this is way beyond what I can do, i have to get out of here' so begs the man to leave with him. They do so in a car.

Laura, whos clearly wants Andy dead at this point, finds that Andy left. She doesn't know that Andy was simply leaving and keep his mouth shut of the whole thing though. So she gets in the car, runs over the man and Andy, and buried Andy alive with some ritual. I think he got possessed by his father's spirit after he died after this but the movie left Andy's fate here since its not Andy anymore.
So with Andy out of the picture, Laura goes full speed ahead of the ritual to the blind sister to bring her daughter back. The only rules of the audience knows of the ritual is that the new body needs to die like the old one did so Laura drowns the blind girl in the pool. Blind girl holds her breath the entire time, tricking Laura that she did her ritual, but pushes her off and runs away. Laura lies there in defeat, before getting angry. Oliver was someone to transfer the spirit from the dead daughter to the blind girl. Seeing how hes not needed anymore, runs off from the salt circle. He gets shot dead by some people who were nearby. Blind girl gets rapidly approached by a car. Movie ends before we could know its Laura trying to kill her and trying the ritual again with a new batch of kids, or child services.

Andy saw his father die right before his eyes in the start of the movie, because dad had a nasty fall from a shower. I think its just Laura being petty over Andy making her life hell and making it personal for his dad to deal the finishing blow of crushing his soul instead of her.
