...now I know why she's become irrelevant
...now I know why she's become irrelevant
She's grotesque
Such a shame.
Women belong in the kitchen.
Did these women directors tell her to do that to her face?
How many of those women directors made a financially successful film?
Only 2 are worth a damn. Dumb broad forgot that most women aren't interested in being behind the camera, but in front of it.
She likes them because they validate her delusions that she's some desirable MILF le powerful woman like that piece of shit movie Babygirl. Every normal person just sees a 60 year old embarrassing hag still trying to pull off sexy thrillers like she's 30.
this but with "white directors" instead of just women
I agree but I still think I'd hit it
get too old to be a box office draw due to your looks
lend your star power to up and coming filmmakers of your choosing who are unlikely to get noticed otherwise
I think it's a valid career strategy
I think the last movie I remember with her was The Others from 2001.
The real problem with this is the unfortunate fact that cinema as both an art form and a commercial commodity is basically dead atm. Studios aren’t making money due to streaming. Because of this, studios are playing it safe and only want IP exploitation, adaptations, reboots, remakes, reimaginings, decades-later sequels, etc. they’re not going to risk money on auteurs making original content, male or female.
She used to be hot. So many cases of disastrous plastic surgery.
what sort of films are they?
they’re not going to risk money on auteurs making original content, male or female.
This argument gets less valid by the day. By "not taking risks" they are actually risking the cultural relevance of the entire industry. When everything that comes out is some nostalgia reference to something 30-40 years ago, general apathy sets in without any genuine novelty and people just stop showing up altogether.
they are actually risking the cultural relevance of the entire industry
good
most of them were TV series/films cause I only count 5 women directors in film:
Holland (2025) - Streaming
Babygirl (2024) - $10 million profit
Spellbound (2024) - Streaming
Destroyer (2018) - $10 million loss
The Beguiled (2017) - break even
But this is exactly what’s happening nevertheless.
She looks like The Nun demon
you have to take a risk, gamble with your money for my wish
It's disingenuous bullshit.
She's been in 13 movies since 2018, 4 of those were directed by women. The TV shows are where she's bumped the number up, but of the 8 shows she's been involved in, only 4 have been created by women.
I’ve never gone to see a movie because Nicole Kidman was in it.
Yeah, she lost all her money.
That's pretty funny if they are counting female directors from individual episodes.
you males should invest in women!!
are you investing in women nicole?
#metoo
wait.. women exaggerate and lie??
she's been financing movies, not acting in them
The bogging is insane.
I think the last movie she looked normal in is The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
They definitely are, it was 19 female directors in February. Since then, she's been involved with The Last Anniversary, three women, Scarpetta, one woman, Margot's Got Money Troubles, three women, and Practical Magic 2, one woman, which brings it to the claimed 27 directors. What they're also not mentioning is that of those female directors since 2018, the director of Practical Magic 2, The Undoing and The Perfect Couple, are the same person, Susanne Bier
I'm going off her Wikipedia credits where she's credited either as actor or executive producer
She starting to look like the fucking Predator. How the mighty have fallen!
It appears her production company only made 5 movies since it's 2018 founding - only 1 had a female director. The other 9 projects are TV stuff: David E. Kelley alone made 4 of them and Sheridan another, so women creators are the minority here as well. Their upcoming projects are almost exclusively female-driven, though being announced doesn't mean shit in itself.
What does it say that all her prominent roles are still male directed?
True.
All women should be killed once they hit 40.
I have, but not since "The Others" kino. Two decades ago.
saar
Didn't Babygirl do pretty well?
Nicole Kidman is an Australian actress, producer and philanthropist who has a net worth of $250 million.
ok, you do it
It's literally OVER
It's so funny because foids spent over a decade complaining about no female directors and now she just does it
What a misandric cunt.
