Now I'm no fancy boat doctor with a degree in boats from a big-city boat college. I don't claim to know a lot about boats, or the act of boating. Most of what I know about boating comes from watching television and film. But. If you are careening out of control ass-backwards towards a bridge that you are going to crash into, could you not just drop the anchor to stop. Like that thing is moving with alacrity, to get up to that speed they must have seen this coming for some time.
