I didn't sign up for this!
I didn't sign up for this!
If tom cruise were up there he would have grabbed on to the bridge climbed up on to the roadway and hailed a cab back to his hotel.
There would have been a lot of blood in that first class crows nest
YESTERDAY, May 17th, 2025- a date which will live in infamy- the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval forces of the Empire of Mexico.
how did they not know far enough in advance to get down from the masts? surely they did.
Why did they stay up there whilst gently being pulled by the tides towards it?
Qrd?
They did, they even had a tug boat push from away from the pier but wasn't powerful enough to pull them away.
mexican navy ship crashed into brooklyn bridge, 2 people died. probably lost power and got pushed under the bridge by the riverflow
Beaners aren't know for their cleverness
Mexican navy ship crashes into Brooklyn Bridge, killing a couple of sailors.
A deliberate and calculated attack by the Navy of Mexico in revenge for Trump renaming the Gulf of America
It was a show celebrating America's 250th birthday. They were all standing on the masts as they floated in front of a crowd.
wait... if youre here... and i'm here.... then who's driving?
*looks at each other*
¡Ay, caramba!
a sailor goes down with his mast
Avast ye matey
Pretty embarrassing way to die.
Can't you just... see that you're about to hit the bridge? Maybe climb down before that happens?
Mexico having a navy loool
navy beans lmao
mexican navy ship crashed into brooklyn bridge
First the Indians and now this.
Talk about a Sinko de Mayo!
Maybe climb down before that happens?
National pride forbids it
Probably one of those cases where everyone could see it coming but everyone kept thinking or saying "Are we gonna hit that? Naaaah there's no way" over and over until it's too late.
but they knew they had lost power and were getting dragged by the current towards a bridge they knew they would not fit under.
Why didn't they just jump into the water, it's right there.
webms?
lmao
Goddammit I spit my drink out
racist ass bridge
Maybe climb down before that happens?
And be called a pussy coward for the rest of your life? No way, im going out a hero
Wtf people said the boat didnt have power but we can clearly see those lights all over the ship
CARLOOOOOOOOOOOOOS
When you are going that fast, why the fuck do you even stay in the masts? The masts are the last thing you want to be on so i'd book it and climbed down.
was adam eget ok?
They didn't know the height of ship versus the height of bridge?
Why not assume they did have a good reason that kept them up there? Because they definitely had one.
lmao
They knew they couldn't clear the bridge. They lost power and/or control of the ship.
When tall ships come into a port they'll often man the yards as part of the fanfare
that doesnt answer why they stayed up there whilst barreling towards certain death
Ah sweet, man-made errors within comprehension.
It's human nature to think you can jump at the right moment and hop onto the bridge or like grab a ledge there and pull yourself up and feel like a million pesos.
They were tethered to the yards so they'd have to scooch over to the mast then climb down. Wasn't enough time for the guys on the top who were likely frozen with fear anyway
I heard the news saying "they lost control of the engine" ok I get that but the problem is that the ship was too tall to go under the bridge. They shouldn't have been sailing in that direction what the fuck
Did the crash compromise the structure/hold of the bridge? Are NYC authorities checking this before FD5 becomes a reality?
where are the falling sailors?
It's a wooden mast vs. a metal bridge.
NYC checked it out and they say it's fine.
they look to be fully harnessed.
how did they die?
how did they die?
from the dark elves, invading from the east
celebrating America's 250th birthday.
It's not July yet...? Or Am I a fucking retard?
You might be a double retard since it's not 2026 yet either.
They clearly aren't. The ship is going full reverse into the bridge.
Probably attempting to moor at a dock before the bridge & had mechanical problems. The inertia or current took them right into it. Bridge clearances are well known and published
Another sailboat has hit the second Brooklyn Bridge.
probably lost power
big-ass fucking sails
sails so large that they in fact caused the problem by necessitating proportionately large masts
learn how to sail a fucking boat Pedro
They were big guys
they are HARNESSED to the MASTS and YARDS
which CRASHED into the BRIDGE
and FELL DOWN
the mast stayed attached to the ship, it only tipped over.
Zoom in
mexican navy
we're just making shit up now?
I hope the dude on the left survived. He was hanging onto that sail for dear life.
they still look attached to the mast. how did they end up getting killed?
Now I'm no fancy boat doctor with a degree in boats from a big-city boat college. I don't claim to know a lot about boats, or the act of boating. Most of what I know about boating comes from watching television and film. But. If you are careening out of control ass-backwards towards a bridge that you are going to crash into, could you not just drop the anchor to stop. Like that thing is moving with alacrity, to get up to that speed they must have seen this coming for some time.
Sails were lashed dummy
A bunch of stuff got knocked off and fell to the deck, fatalities could have been there
Can zoomers even think?
always fun to be reminded how many boat autists browse Anon Babble
the boat had lost power for a while and even had a tug boat push it away from the pier.
could you not just drop the anchor to stop
Yeah. They probably did. Wouldn't have done much good though
The way the lights flicker and die is so dramatic
So?
nah, it's still in the upright position
Those guys just driving past
not my problem
so they had plenty of time to climb down and not look upon death doing nothing.
jej
Surprised only two deaths.
So maybe these retards should have gotten off the fucking masts
There's another anchor on the other side
They take a long enough time to deploy and start acting that it probably wasn't an option
It was a tug boat trying to keep them from the pier and bridge support.
CARL-ACK!!
I bet Donald Trump's controversial bridge-lowering program is to blame for this
Did a pretty poor job of it didn’t they
But I meant the car drivers on the bridge
That's your opinion. It's stupid but it's yours
damn what a way to go
the one on the right twirled like Titanic's
No it was renaming the Gulf of Mexico poor fuckers were lost
Pretty stupid to die because you didn't want to climb down in my opinion
Spinning like the guy who hit the propeller of the Titanic
should we sail a normal boat to America?
no, let's sail this creaky-ass old boat from a hundred years ago that's a million miles tall with shitty retrofitted engines it was never designed to have. it's the best way.
Man's hubris knows no bounds
anchor takes time
someone has to be quick enough to even think to do it and then go do it
anchor needs a certain angle of attack and the right conditions on the sea floor to latch depending on the type of anchor
sometimes they don't latch anyway
shit takes timeeeeeeeeeeeeee
nah
real man_hits_propellor_titanic_1997.mkv energy
should we sail the ugly gay modern boat from after the industrial revolution and its consequences?
ay caramba nooo let’s sail the soulful boat compadre
Many navies maintain a tall ship as a symbol of pride and as training ships. The US Navy still sails the USS Constitution and the Coast Guard sails a more modern tall ship, the Eagle.
So anon was just spreading misinformation and I fell for it. Reeeee
The best part of these videos is hearing the white guy having a hearty laugh in the background as he watches it happen.
Dropping the anchor aint like pulling the parking brake chud.
Imagine if this site had sound on webms
Sadly such arcane technology is beyond us…
anchor needs a certain angle of attack and the right conditions on the sea floor to latch
Anchors slow the ship without touching the sea floor
How do you know??? You aint no boat doctor!! Them be your own words!!!
If Mark Wahlberg had been on that mast it wouldn’t have gone down like that. There would have been a lot of blood on that bridge.
why not? they did it in Battleship (2012)
Well Ill guess ill just do nothing and watch people die
I aint a fan of Rihanna so I aint seen that music video
Yes it is. Haven’t you seen Battleship?
Anon Babble has sound
It lost propulsion. That's what they mean in nautical terms. Power = propulsion. The prop and the generator are independent systems
sir this is Anon Babble
wrong as fuck
unless you mean in the sense that a baby can slow you down by holding on to your arm as you pull away - technically there is force but it is negligible in the extreme
beaners
meh
no real loss
Got his ass
This is the first mexican navy casualty in three thousand years.
Dios mío!!
rockin'
Holy fucking kek
Well, congratulations! You got yourself caught! Now what's the next step in your master plan? >Crashing this plane... with 275 survivors!
Once again I must apologize to Cameron
…beaners..?
don't build walls, build bridges inst-NO NOT LIKE THIS!!!
damn it carlo
That tug is not doing anything
The stupidity never ceases to amaze me, and I'm not just talking about the taco benders on the boat. You see a giant several thousand ton vessel having a catastrophic failure and moving directly toward you with tons of wood and ropes and metal and other things falling off of it from high up, that could fall anywhere, and you don't immediately take the fuck off or at the very least get your children out of the way and get to a safe distance? It's trains in India tier lack of situational awareness. But hey, keep getting those videos so I can watch them from safety I guess, like I care if some retards die as long as I can laugh at the footage.
Why does a modern navy have sail ships?
Were none of these people worried the bridge might collapse on them, or at least debris falling on them?
it was going to be part of the celebration next summer it was just sailing to various international ports as part of the lead up to the main event. they were leaving for Iceland when the crash happened.
retard
Why does a modern navy have sail ships?
A lot do, they're operated as training ships for naval cadets and for symbolism, a fully rigged tall ship is impressive and is a symbol of naval pride
Is that Owen Hart?
captain captain is saying the rudder jammed, so they were supposed to go under the bridge in the middle after changing course
don't know why they didn't do more to cut the throttle but the turning radius on a boat that big is going to get used up quick
tug needed a lot of room to make up for the lack of mass they had
they could have done more, just to get squished
This. Day one of working on a ship or in a shipyard they teach you to get the fuck away from the area if anything even remotely close to this starts happening. They're lucky the mast didn't fall in a different direction or worse and squash a couple dozen bystanders.
To attack bridges, pay attention.
Explain how he is the retard and you aren't so I can tell you how wrong you are retard.
But the bridge won.
It's because it was a Mexican sail ship.
What ship do you work on
the mast is secured to multiple points on the ship so it's unlikely to have parts fall all the way off
especially considering how high up the mast it was
Good morning saar be sure to stand right to train track for tiktok video because train only dangerous exactly on track area saar do the needful.
The good ship Lollipop
God how embarrassing
Tell that to Kris Kristofferson
No; just watch the video again and know (You) are a retard
unlikely
Retard.
Formerly the Koru but currently the Abeona.
So you're wrong and an actual retard. Cool!
Post wrist
Only if you post pajeet claw first.
Based.
I accept your concession, Arjun.
no danger themselves
It really does feel good to know morons like you are out there so we'll never stop getting rekt videos. You should get a job working on industrial lathes.
Caaaarlos!
Keep running from that toilet witch Darpinder. It's definitely more dangerous than the train you're within ten feet of.
Is there any possible way to try and land on your feet in this scenario?
Keep running from that toilet witch Darpinder. It's definitely more dangerous than the train you're within ten feet of.
Pajeet projection is so sad
Should have aimed for the bushes
Damn
You would know streetshitter.
Anybody wanna tell me wtf I'm looking at?
Kino.
They were ordered by their raging boss to release the sails because the engine died
Why didn't they just power slide under the bridge?
I already accepted your concession.
