Eh, that had a crazy budget and its bad reception impacted this one. This did pretty well considering it intentionally had a cast of whos and wasn't something mainline like a Captain America movie.

This isn’t a hard code to crack. These are all literally who characters from either that garbage black widow prequel movie that nobody saw or one of those shitty Disney+ shows that nobody watched. It feels like you have to watch other movies and shows for homework before watching this. And whether you want to admit it or not, Marvel is now affiliated with “woke” and “girl boss”, whether you like it or hate it, you cannot deny this isn’t an point of interest that has some fans divided on the direction the MCU has taken. And finally, all the phase 4-5 movies have been abysmal at worst and mediocre at best. People showed up to guardians of the galaxy because the marvel movies were all great leading up to it, marvel can’t drop a team of randoms on the audience anymore and expect them to embrace them. Even if this movie is actually great, it doesn’t matter, the damage to the brand has been done. And doomsday and secret wars will never be the success hits infinity war and endgame were. They’ll make a billion+ for sure, but theyre not making close to 2 billion.

This I was tempting to watch it last Tuesday, but I read that you need to watch Black Widow in order to understand it as its effectively Black Widow 2, and possible the new Falcon TV show.

From their I said forget it I'll wait for it come out on Disney+. Nobody watched Black Widow, a prequel for a dead character, and nobody Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Apparently it also features a character from Ant-man 2, which again not many people bothered watching.

This, if F4 bombs they only have pre-endgame Avengers cast to cash out on for nostalgia.

People used to love the interconnectedness, but as soon as they started bloating everything with Disney+ shows and too many B-lister movies, it became a chore to not feel like you're "out of the loop" when going to see a Marvel movie, which is also compounded by the fact that their roster is so huge that they inevitably have to have characters go dormant for years at a time (which is fine when they're A-list characters, but I'd imagine that a lot of people watching Thunderbolts will have forgotten about Ghost's backstory, and feel absolutely nothing about Taskmaster, who most people probably won't even recognize)

It's crazy to go back and watch the post credits scenes of the post-Endgame film and realize how many are setting up stuff that will never pay off. The plotting has been really haphazard.
