What GRR gaslighting us the entire time?
What GRR gaslighting us the entire time?
Maybe the promise of power was how the ring was seducing people.

an ouroboros of reddit and Anon Babble shitting in each other's mouth, with increasingly worse grammar
I fucking hate the third world so much
So?
why does this phenomenon happen increasingly often ?
Dead internet. Accept it and touch grass.
the ring granted different powers depending on who was wearing it
most normgroids believe the ring turns hobbits invisible because they're sneaky or some stupid shit.
I fucking normals, they don't deserve Tolkien's work.
Its like a wet tight pussy. You know it has aids but you just NEED to fuck it
Well then explain this to me... if I put on the one ring right now, what would happen?
If you read the book or watched the film you'd know this wasn't true
It's a fair assumption given what we actually given in the text and on screen. Nobody in any of the books or movies says "Hobbits can't use the Ring because they're smol and weak lol".
It does make sense with what we're told to assume that Hobbits would become undetectable backstabbers just as Boromir would become an unstoppable berserker, Gandalf would be a level 300 evil mage and necromancer and Galadriel would be an unquestioned dominatrix over a nation of simps.
Then someone’s gonna screencap this and your comment and post it to r/Anon Babble
we literally see that he's not actually invisible, the ringwraiths and sauron can see him. we also see isildur, who is clearly not a hobbit, experience the same effect. you'd have to be retarded to think that hobbits turn invisible because they're sneaky.
Was he?
You'd get a big dick and wraith bitches.
One hundrey and eleventy
hes not invisible to the naked eye because something with special vision can see him
Retard alert!
The Ring was Saurons phylactery and it gave Sauron the ability to manipulate minds. That was the power. The power to destroy Sauron and control others
is there any power more desirable than unlimited lifespan ?
he's invisible nobody can see him!!
uhm except evil demons who are alerted to his presence and also the most powerful demon currently active will immediately know where he is and can terrorize him
but erm he's invisible trust me bro!!
not sure I'm the retard here, little buddy.
making new threads that catch on is hard, just copy what someone else has done. people repost OPs here all the time, or repost them from Anon Babble to Anon Babble, Anon Babble, Anon Babble (in the case of OP) or vice versa. anything for low effort engagement endorphins
Moron
It made the Hobbits invisible because it enhanciates the biggest stength of each person.
It made Suron huge
It would make Gandalf magic
It would mase Gladrile crazy powerful
It would make Aargorn more king
what would happen if Anon Babble wore the ring
It would become more gay than you can believe
I'd like to know what would happen if jack black wore the ring what would happen
Why was Sauron an eyeball?
In place of a Dark Lord you would have a SNEED!
Include me in the screencap
Gollum and Bilbo use it for centuries/decades because it makes them invisible
It doesn't make them invisible guys! Trust me, I'm a lore expert
Then what does it actually do?
Uhhhhhhh
Did Gollum ever wear the ring?
The power of the ring depends on being able to utilize it.
The weak and uninspired can't see its potential.
It was clearly mentioned that some average plebs couldn't utilize ring's powers. Only someone strong like Gandalf could do it.
It'll be on shxitter in about 30 mins
I once made a post on Anon Babble that got screenshotted and posted on reddit, and it pissed me off. They even cropped out the Anonymous/timestamp/post# line to try and hide it, but the background color gave it away. It became a huge thing there for like a day.
It turns all mortals invisible.
In Tolkien's own words:
A mortal .. who keeps one of the Great Rings, does not die, but he does not grow or obtain more life, he merely continues, until at last every minute is a weariness. And if he often uses the Ring to make himself invisible, he fades: he becomes in the end invisible permanently, and walks in the twilight under the eye of the dark power that rules the Rings.
You can see 5G
Galadriel literally says to Fredo that he nerds to git gud in perder to use the full powers of the ring.
Yep, thay's why the Wraiths are permanently invisible except when wearing the ring. They are in the spirit realm. Kinda weird their blades supposedly transfer people to the spirit realm too after being stabbed by one
the fact that a shitpost from here is making people get 600 reply threads on reddit is hilarious
How many updoots you could have cashed in?
So it'd give me an even bigger weiner?
The One Ring is gay.
HEY WANNA SEE HELL ENTITIES AND ASTRAL PROJECT?
No, you little faggot bauble. Get away from me.
A mortal .. who keeps one of the Great Rings, does not die, but he does not grow or obtain more life, he merely continues, until at last every minute is a weariness
That's called immortality, genius. People really celebrate this guy for taking a leap year to write out a thought?
...
I don't know, I think the original post got deleted from the subreddit and the user might have even gotten banned, but it was A LOT. It was the top thing on a very popular board for a day. I would never have known, except someone had taken a screenshot of my original post and we had been posting it amongst ourselves as a meme for months, and then one day someone came in and said it was blowing up on reddit.
I visited that place one time out of morbid curiosity, and it is as bad as you think.
so why didnt sauron or the nazgul fuck with bilbo when he had worn the ring during the previous decades?
Lol
they are like Anon Babble's retarded little brother
read the books retard
Lord of the Placebo Ring
usually it's the same retard though
No, that's not why. Are you retarded or something?
Then what does it actually do?
lmao lorelet
it transports you to a different dimension where other nonhuman entities live, that's why the ringwraiths are also visible when he puts on the ring.
That doesn’t count
screenshot posts should be fucking banned just go on fucking reddit if you want to see what redditors think same with twitter i don't give a shit
Sauron and Nazgul didn't actually have an alarm that alerted them whenever the ring was worn and a gps that guided them right to it. They were literally going around collecting rumors about weird people with unexplained long life or powers. Those rumors led them to find and capture Gollum then torture the fuck out of him. He told them to go find a Baggins in the Shire. The alert when it's worn is only when it's really close not hundreds of miles away.
Yeah LOTR is a perfect filter for seeing how retarded people are. Galadriel spells out all of this as plainly as possible.
There are two worlds that we see in Tolkien's universe. There is the physical realm and the spiritual one. Elves for example exist in both the physical and the spiritual and I think in the book Frodo even sees an elf's spiritual form at some point. Humans basically exist in the physical exclusively while they're alive. The rings of power are in fact so powerful that for people that aren't capable of wielding them, they drag you into the spirit realm and you become invisible.
For entities that are powerful enough to wield the One Ring, it gives them dominance over the other rings Sauron created which was the original scam of the master ring (leaders of the races put on the rings Sauron made, Sauron puts on the master ring and dominates them). It also amplifies the wearer who can control it in every way. You don't even need to wear it to gain the life extending power of it. Just having it near you is enough.
Wearing it though and being able to control it brings to your peak capacity and beyond. To give a relatable example if you can bench 315 lbs. for 5 reps without the ring, with it you might be able to bench 585 for 10 reps (and it might even enhance you further than that). It doesn't make you a God, but it takes you to your peak and a supernatural degree beyond that and the possibility of that is what the ring tempts you with, but most people can't master it so they just get pulled into the spirit realm.
Sauron only made the one ring, silly
In the books it is very plainly stated that the weak cannot use the ring the way it's meant to be used.
It's called citing your sources, dumbass.
Because you make them all feel welcome. You don't shit up their pleb threads, you cheer when the mods/janitors ban actual locals, but then turn around and cry when they ban something you share in common with the tourists
the original Anon Babble post probably came from xitter
Great summary anon, you just forgot that while the ring gives you peak form and extends the wearer lifespan the person at same time is corrupted and enslaved by the ring, Gollum was mutated and Bilbo felt "thin, stretched like too little butt in much bread". Also the addiction is real just look at Bilbo after a few years without, guy melted.
Yeah but he guided people on how to create theirs (or it was Liberace Elf? I can't remember now)
