Detroit is deeply flawed in that the writing sucks ass. Until Dawn is deeply flawed in that, yes, your choices still don't matter. Whether a character lives or dies, the same scenes still play out in the same way, the only difference being whether certain lines are said or skipped.

EFAP is covering it today which is weird, literally anybody who wants to watch the movie and didn't see it day 1 has to skip the stream.

lol no the only good story there is Hank & Connor's buddy cops one. And 1/3 of the storylines is so useless to the overall plot that you can just make the female android die at the start and nothing important will change aside from the game being faster to finish, which is great since that's also the cringiest plot.

I see your point now but still, not having one third of the story ending up meaningfully integrated with Connor's and android Jesus' is big gameplay flaw. Makes me think they had to cut it because of budget or time problems.

I think it's supposed to be an out-of-touch boomer bad writer's attempt at writing modern teen dialogue while also deliberately being cringe and tongue-in-cheek to tie into the campy feel. So, with all those factors piling up, it ends up sounding like an alien language

The dialogue in Until Dawn is intentionally cheesy. The dialogue in their later games might just be bad.

His actions can change her story because he's leading the movement, but why would her actions affect Marcus or Connor in any way? She's nobody.
