I think a big part of the issue (other than the diversity requirements and general political atmosphere since 2016) is the complete lack of experience outside of writing. They went to college, studied english or film studies, then got a job writing. They're writing poor imitations of stories they read or more realistically watched, and even then they have a shallow breadth of knowledge. Everything feels like it's been filtered through decades of cliches.
Dashiell Hammet, a massive commie, was in the pinkertons for seven years with time off for WW1 before getting into writing detective fiction. He wrote half the cliches of noir fiction that echo down to today. The other half were written by Chandler who also fought in WW1 and fucked around in half a dozen jobs before writing pulp fiction.

Because Hollywood pays shit wages to writers, they only attract nepo fail kids who can live off investments or absolute bottom of the barrel trash trannies who are willing to make $8/script so long as they get to spread their degenerate gospel to the masses after cutting their teeth on Tumblr fanfiction. All modern writers are scum because only the worst people 1) can afford to be writers 2) are willing not accept poverty to be writers.
I think the post conflates two archetypes of antagonist. For the higher level you have the corporate greedy capitalist guy who would sell his mother's kidneys for a quick buck - that guy is more of the politically right portrayal but ultimately respects the wise words of some aged black mammy talking about how 'back in the day folks like me blah blah blah...'.
But then you have the lower level antag; the psychotic murdering rapist, this one they can openly portray as racist because it's a more visceral thing and helps push the idea to the audience that 'well, the racist guy obviously had it coming' for when he's caught/killed.
