The issue with the first three episodes of S2 is they seem disjointed from having a clear connective tissue that drove S1 - and Andor being on Yavin IV did nothing substantial to advance the wider plot and certainly not his own character story. It is such an issue as this is the last season and it is already 25% over, with what they have done feeling wasteful with what they have and not economical.

I am beyond disappointed with the first 3 episodes of season 2. But also when I think back to season 1, a solid 1/3rd of the plotlines and characters were a pain to watch and dreadfully boring. Unfortunately that seems to be just about all that has carried over to season 2 thus far.
Season 1 finale made it seem like we'd get Rogue One-style Cassian shit and instead 80% of the runtime has been devoted to Mon Mothma and BixNood.
I wanted to enjoy this and really tried to but holy shit I hope it gets better. Even Krennic was a massive letdown thus far.
The kid with the romance subplot is definitely gone.
Luthen could go either way but if I had to guess I’d say he’s a goner.
Bix isn’t allowed the sweet relief of death and exists to suffer.

I genuinely feel like I've wasted 2 and a half hours of my life after watching these 3 episodes. Everything coulda easily fit into one episode, but instead Moth's party and Andor's captivity had to last 3 episodes. Even Lucien was boring to watch which really says something.

I have never known a more vulgar expression of betrayal and deceit.
As you say, they could have condensed it down into a single episode (maybe two max) - given that they have no set episode duration length, I would have been tempted to have done it in 75 minutes if they felt they needed more than 50 minutes. To add to what I said in the endpoints of the first arc become clear very quickly: 1) Andor is going to get-off Yavin IV, and the rebel cell is not as the theme the show is going for with them is divided you fall; 2) shit is going to go down on the farming planet meaning they are going to have to escape; 3) Mon's daughter is going to get married and Luthen is going to have her childhood friend assassinated. And when you break it down with what there when then Andor's escape, the attempted rape, the death of Brasso, the marriage, and the assassination (which includes the stuff with Vel and whatever the other lesbian is called) - then actually reaching those points was delayed by just treading water rather than advancing. It is not even as if the the build-up really created much of an atmosphere, with anyone saying it was slowburn not understanding what they actually entails.
They already have Rebels so that would be confusing. Maybe something like "Alliance" or something like that

Mon Mothma isn't sad, she's just drunk. That would be funny if the reason her husband isn't in the OT is because he leaves her because she's an alcoholic.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series should have been called something else with regards to Leia because it was mostly about her the whole time.
