Will (You) watch it? It doesn't look great honestly.
New Wes Anderson Flick
They all look great at the very least. I watch all of them.
How can you post the trailer, which looks great, and claim it doesn't? Fucking contrarian incel cunt.
KINO IS BACK ON THE MENU
He's never topping this masterpiece.
Will watch it. It will be Kino, if you doubt Wes then you don't know Wes.
his last great movie was moonrise kingdom
definitely
ChatGPT Generate me a film directed by Wes Anderson
Life aquatic is my favorite. I haven't been able too watch his newer stuff because it's almost parody at this point...too wes
I hate Tom Hanks
So much edge.
I hate Mother Teresa
his last movie, the one about an asteroid in the desert was an absolute snorefest...
I just realized I hate this more than those State Farm commercials. Just the way it turns complex societal issues into quippy vignettes feels inhuman. Only redeeming factor would be if he filmed pure IDF propaganda videos, they would at least be sinister enough to warrant extra attention.
I love Mother Teresa because of how many Indian deaths she directly caused. She's basically one of those Juggernauts come to life.
Looks insincere, cheap and the acting seems stilted
I'll check it out, even though The French Connection was mid and his latest alien-themed picture was unwatchable.
yes. I've watched every Wes Anderson movie (including his shorts) so far. anyone who hasn't is a poser and a fake fan.
this.
This literally looks and feels like an AI made a Wes Anderson movie.
It was somehow more boring than The French Dispatch
His last 2 films were disappointing. French Dispatch was decent bordering on obnoxious and with Asteroid City I just ran out of patience with all the back and forth.
In any case I'll be checking this out just because it's Wes Anderson, however something's off about the look of it in the trailer. Did he switch to digital or something? The picture is much less "flat" than usual and it's throwing me off. Is it the lighting/colour-grading perhaps? Did anyone else get this or is it just me?
Richard Ayoade
Bryan Cranston
KINO INBOUND!!
I'll probably watch it, even mediocre Wes Anderson is still visually interesting
I actually liked The French Dispatch but didn't care for Asteroid City much at all, he's bordering on self-parody and needs to take a step back to a simpler story with less meta aspects
self-parody
this
I kinda like to think that was intentional with Asteroid City
Predictably masterful and funny, but too airy fairy, not grounded enough. He's abandoned films about privileged or simply enterprising yankees, which is what he did best.
yankees
His first two films were in the South.
This feels less like a film and more like Wes Anderson selling you a pleasant 2hr aesthetic experience.
He's a self-parody
why do this dude's movies always look flat and boring? it's an eyesore to look at this, like fine grit sandpaper on my eyes
The Wes Anderson gimmicks can only be cute and quirky for so long. You eventually need to make movies that standout for their strong story and characters alone.
He's become an inoffensive Tim Burton
Lol imagine getting this mad about random people on the internet. You should see a doctor
That's my problem with him, the borderline self parody in terms of style is less of an issue than the increasingly weak characters and stories.
I went in wanting to love Asteroid City because I loved the setting and look of it, but I felt nothing for any of the characters in it, the opposite I disliked most of them for being so uninteresting and that's when the quirk becomes annoying.
The theater show framing device was a disaster, hope he learned his lesson.
can this guy be put under studio pressure again and be forced to actually work creatively? The cornfield set in this trailer looks so fucking awful. Im so tired of everything being handcrafted like a storybook. He was more interesting when he had to use real locations.
wes anderson is the worst director of all time
le wacky so randum humor
haha look at all these people standing in weird poses and random silly things happening while colors flash on the screen
A director for children.
this
I actually liked (portions of) French Dispatch. Definitely not movie theater material though. Feels more like those Dahl adaptations Wes does for Netflix.
if severe lack of self awareness was a movie
times you acted like The Phoenician?
His two latest were such huge disappointments
WesA took the most superficial idea of Ozu and made his own copy of it? Ewww. He's more like a necro embalmer now
I thought the change in genre was gong to break him out of this bs
He isn't even the worst director with the last name Anderson
Even Segal and Breen have more soul
Jesus Christ, is this one trick faggot still putting out movies? Fucking 15 identical movies now.
How is Rushmore identical to Fantastic Mr. Fox? How is Bottle Rocket identical to The Darjeeling Limited?
When did he lose his soul? Any explanations? It has to be the wife right? Usually is.
He stopped hanging out with Owen Wilson, whose sensibilities kept him grounded.
Didn’t care for Asteroid City but I respect Anderson for doing something different with that one with the whole movie within a play thing
Wasn't Bryan Cranston retiring like 4 years ago? I'm glad he's still here but still
