Some styles of humour really don't translate well to a cinematic format, same reason a lot of feature films based on sitcoms are rarely as funny as the original sitcoms. I couldn't explain why but I think in a studio setting with an audience there's a sort of stage-like heightened reality that complements some styles of joke, and you don't get the same vibe when it's made like a feature film

He never wanted to invade western europe to expand their empire (he didnt see it as cost-efficient) he always wanted to invade eastern europe to expand their empire, but then western europe declared war on him when he did that, thus western front happened.
