Peter Turbo is a whiny bitch
why didn't the emperor just tell horus his plan?
why didn't the emperor just find a more tactful way to chastise lorgar?
why didn't the emperor just send the war hounds to save angron and his gladiators?
why didn't the emperor just give konrad curze a hug?
Literally me
Sydney Sweeney
He never fell to chaos he could have joined the good guys
Kane?
Cast him.
Kane as well?
He made Lorgar with an undeniable genetic drive to need religion, proselytise, and above all need the truth. He also made him with a genetic drive to "build" culture, allowed him to do so while secretly disapproving maximally (despite praising Gorillaman for the same thing), then he sent Rotund Gorillaman to genocide his most loyal world (which permanently scarred him) and kicked of the entire heresy. He did all this on purpose as a prank, but why Lorgar couldn't just get over it when he saw the camera, I don't know.

Thousand Sons bros, will we ever be redeemed and escape Chaos?
There's a theory that one "Chaos" primarch will "come back", maybe not on the side of the Imperium but it would most certainly be Perturabo if so. It was also mentioned if Dorn was ever exposed to Chaos he would 100% turn due to his autism chasing the rabbit down the hole
There's a few little hints that maybe the Emperor wasn't just intentionally a retard with one of his "best" primarchs and Peturabo was always meant to be a "sleeper" last ditch ace up the sleeve and meant to "turn back"
Your road will be hard, but few are worthy of it,’ said the Emperor. ‘I have many tasks for you, the indefatigable, the indomitable, the unrelenting. You shall be my Lord of Iron.’
The Emperor looked at him with an expression of infinite wisdom. Deep in his eyes, sorrow lurked.
The Iron Warriors also completely exemplify the actual "perfect" space marines that some part of the Emperor (or the imperium as whole) wanted or needed; brutal, efficient, ruthless, will slog through absolute shit and get the job done with absolute murderous efficiency, completely bitterly "atheist", no bullshit.
Then again the other part of the Emperor really has his dick hard for ostentatious golden trophies and I wouldn't put it past him to "punish" someone for being the exact "perfect" "monster" that he purposely built him to be, then get assblasted that they're incredibly good at that job.
if that theory is true it would be pretty crazy since the iron warriors slaughtered most of the imperial fists
rogal dorn would be pissed if he were still alive
The fuck, man. Consice
Certified Kino
forces hundreds of thousands of Word Bearers to kneel before him as he destroys their crowning achievement with nuclear fire
Damn, Roboute really doesn't fuck around when it comes to humiliation rituals does he
Isn't the more recent lore that he just sort of got dragged off to the warp rather than getting shanked by 40 cultists in a prison yard riot. If so that would set him up as the "confirmed" side flipper, and gives him the exact motivation to launch a crusade on a "redeemed" Perturabo(Perturabo would never "redeem" himself in a traditional sense; but might get sick of Chaos nonsense).
It would also be kino with the whole Dorn now gets to find out what it's like to die ignobly in a ditch by the thousands for a completely worthless few inches of dirt and then get called a faggot for doing your job
Of course the whole Perturabo thing sort of goes down the toilet if he truly has become a Daemon prince (which at first inspection seems like bullshit and doesn't makes sense from a "story" angle, but then again in the grimdarkness blah bla blah even the Lord of Iron has to eat shit to survive)
That was honestly one of the nastiest little tricks big E ever pulled, force the certified Golden boy (who actually is relatively decent all things considered) to smash his scapegoat/black sheep little brother's lego set to smitherines. Roboute literally still regrets it to this day and never wanted to do it
Pedro Pascal
Huh?
I mean
What?
why didn't the emperor just tell horus his plan?
The more people knew his plan the more risk there was of the Chaos Gods learning about it.
why didn't the emperor just find a more tactful way to chastise lorgar?
He tried to for decades, Lorgar just wouldn't get the fucking hint
why didn't the emperor just send the war hounds to save angron and his gladiators?
Angron at this point was already ruined by the Butcher's Nails, he was never going to be more than a war machine, might as well make him greatest weapon of war he could be at the cost of 20 lives.
why didn't the emperor just give konrad curze a hug?
Konrad would've shanked him
Angron at this point was already ruined by the Butcher's Nails, he was never going to be more than a war machine, might as well make him greatest weapon of war he could be at the cost of 20 lives.
The more unbelievable part of that was despite the imperium being way more advanced than Angron's homeworld, the Emperor couldn't find a way to remove the nails
I prefer the theory where he could've removed them but found them useful to him personally so decided to keep them in
filling out the horus heresy was worse for the setting than the prequels were for star wars
If any Primarch were to turn back it would be Magnus. He doesn't even like Chaos. Perturabo is too full of pride and spite to consider returning to the Imperium as anything less than its absolute and uncontested ruler, which will never happen, so he'll just stew in his bile until Heresy 2.0 happens.
Any Traitor Primarch won't ever be allowed to rejoin the Imperium proper anyway, the best any of them could hope for is to have the Imperium shoots them second when they meet on the same side of the battlefield.
I am also convinced that should any Traitor joins the Loyalists side, a Loyalist will fall and joins the Traitors. We have some candidates already. Corvus has spent so long in the Warp he's canonically a shadow monster. The Khan is implicitly being tortured in Commoragh. I think the Primarchs of the most popular chapters like Space Wolves are safe though.
With the general trend of multiverse in media, I am also convinced that GW may try their hand at making their own 40k Multiverse saga. It's not exactly coming out of nowhere since the Warp already connects differents reality (like Fantasy and 40k). That new Multiverse will likely feature a full-on Dark Imperium, probably led by a Dark Sanguinus who went through his own little Heresy but actually won it. This shit would print money.
This is also possible. IIRC recently they revealed that Angron was supposed to be essentially the healer/therapist of the Primarchs (because the Emperor gave him empathy powers which made him even more fucked up by the Nails) and Sanguinius was supposed to be the raving bloodthirsty beast (which is why his geneseed literally turns his sons insane with blood rage). But when he found Sanguinius he turned out to be a pretty mellow fellow. And I guess he still needed a Primarch to be the mad dog.
The butcher's nails were a choke collar on the warhound. Angron in one of his more lucid moments outright says that "if I were a better man, I'd walk up the steps of the Imperial Palace, and cut that fucking slavers head clean off"
A "clean" Angron would have gone renegade without a doubt
I still think Angron was supposed to be an absolute frothing berserker unlike the supposed claims that he was secretly meant to be "nice". The emperor seems to have made him to take the "pain" (maybe literally and figuratively)of the common downtrodden piece of shit getting stomped by the boot and direct it in murderous, righteous fury at the decadent weak abusers. There's a bookend of that still being very Khornate but in a "positive" manner, while Angron now embodies the "worst" of Khorne basically becoming a beast. I don't know if it's intentional that the butcher's nails seem like an awfully Slaneshi invention (as is Nuceria as a whole)
Of course that's a fundamentally incompatible thing with the "plan" in the short term for Emperor, so if you subscribe to the theory that the Primarchs all have a "part" of the Emperor, such "emotions" are something he needed to excise from himself
it's hinted that the butcher's nails are related to the dark age of technology when weapons even the emperor feared existed, so it makes sense if such a thing could permanently maim a primarch
If any Primarch were to turn back it would be Magnus. He doesn't even like Chaos.
God, I want Magnus and the Thousand Sons to be redeemed like you wouldn't believe.
Perturabo will never turn back to the Imperium for sure (even if he wasn't prideful), in fact his breaking point was not that the Emperor WILL never forgive him (he would, he'd probably give him a fucking medal for decimating Olympia) but that he never SHOULD forgive him.
What I meant was that he somehow switches to an "anti-chaos" renegade in some sort of end times scenario and pulls a "villain saves the day". The Iron Warriors do still have a little seed of "pro-humanity" in them too.
As for the loyalist switching, I still lean towards Dorn (due to aforementioned autism; providing he's not actually dead)
Magnus is a very obvious candidate, and pre-shattering he's one of the few primarchs that's still genuinely "good" in his heart of hearts. I'm not entirely familiar with the actual book but wasn't he already "given" a chance to turn back but essentially refuses out of love for his sons. Then they use his "good" part to create the Grey Knights
Bruce Willis is the face actor. Give him peanut butter and have him dubbed by ryan gosling.
That's honestly exactly why he probably won't be, because it's a real pisser to see such a "good" guy irreversibly forced to become fucked forever even though he's still not a complete amoral monster like Fulgrim. Didn't he even get given a purposely contrived "chance" that he rejected to "save" his legion.
Didn't he even get given a purposely contrived "chance" that he rejected to "save" his legion.
No, it was probably an illusion by Tzeentch.
I prefer the theory where he could've removed them but found them useful to him personally so decided to keep them in
thats super retarded. angron was useless, a actual detriment to his legion. the war hounds were a very good legion, the world eaters were a messy on a good day.
vulkan re-re-re-returns but is all krumped in the head
russ returns but fell to khorne a long time ago, gets put down like the dog he is
jagathai returns, takes a good look at the state of the imperium and goes back to fuck eldar bitches
Gee, this Tzeentch guy kinda seems like an asshole
So. Apparently Kane is reliquing office
agreed.
This guy

nah he explains to arkhan land that theyve completely replaced parts of his brain and there was absolutely zero way to remove them without killing him
