I'm also laughing at how hard Rafe is trying to pull it back to the book storylines. His interview script where he says "we had to do seasons 1 and 2 so that season 3 could be the most book accurate season ever!" is just utter horseshit. You could cut out 80% of seasons 1 and 2 and it wouldn't impact book 3.

Even if they kept all the changes they made to S1/2, all they'd have to do is remove the cringey original fanfic storylines they inserted and the series would be infinitely better.

The vast majority of the cast is entirely realistic. The only real exception is the Aiel, and even in the case of the Aiel it's only unrealistic because they're ALL tall with only a few exceptions.
Mat and Perrin (and Lan) are in the 6' range, Rand is 6'5 or '6. Most of the female characters outside of the Aiel are under 6'. Moiraine is 5'2 which is completely within normal ranges for women.

There's only a handful of outliers, like Bael being >7'0 and Davram Bashere being like 5'0.
