This movie sucks ass
This movie sucks ass
holy crap its sam hyde
Really bad version of The Driver
correct
Willie Nelson stole the show
They should have re-cast Jim Belushi.
It's Mann Kino
It's not great but the night photography is comfy.
Thief is kino as fuck you fags
I thought it was good, anon. The only thing that sucks about it was Jewish cast and production.
2 hours of middle aged guys in suits talking
Every movie until 1992 desu.
This thread sucks ass.
sounds like kino
was $410K a lot of money to boomers?
Willie Nelson stole the show
Yes. He was good in Miami Vice (TV) as well.
They should have re-cast Jim Belushi.
Yes, probably the weakest acting in the movie.
was $410K a lot of money to boomers?
I sometimes forget that everyone, but me, has a net worth of several hundred million dollars.
Anon Babble truly has terrible taste
Kill yourself. It is the second best Mann kino after Manhunter.
that site sucks.
the price of gold was $400 an oz in 1981, it's $3000 an oz now.
so that 410k is more like 3 million now.
Lol
Oh what, is this the movie Thief, soundtrack by Tangerine Dream?
that site sucks.
that 410k is more like 3 million now.
totally agree, but was just showing that even going by the cooked up CPI numbers $410k was a healthy sum back then.
soundtrack by Tangerine Dream
movie has no music outside of like 10 minutes
Would be great but the woman is so awful and grating. Cannot stand the sound of her voice.
This movie sucks ass
How do you know what that's like?
CORRECT
I just watched this again the other night. Synchronicity.
I love how the MC is the most unpleasant character on the planet and he somehow forces/charms the love interest with his aggressive and horrible personality.
Only 1980s movies can pull that crap.
How about i put you out on the street
This board fucking sucks. Thief is based and ive never even seen a thread about Chinatown or to live and die in la
This board fucking sucks.
Well the tasteless edgetards that post here certainly suck. Thief is interesting as an early Mann work. It has it's high points, but is also dragged down with parts of the story like the love interest. The love interest(s) is frequently a weak point in Mann's story telling.
ive never even seen a thread about Chinatown or to live and die in la
I've seen 'To Live and Die in L.A.' posted, but also been told that 'Chinatown' "sucks," which is a subhuman opinion.
It's style over substance. It's not bad but if somebody worships this movie they are probably a huge midwit.
what is with michael mann and safe cracking why is he so obsessed with it?
None of the characters were believable except Barry. Also there were no stakes to risk. The woman is some random whore he barely started dating and the kid he only had for a few days.
Why couldn't he just be grateful to the boss guy? He might have let him go if he wasn't so rude to the guy that knows everything about his life.
looks familiar...
The slow-motion during the shootouts made the action look more clumsy than cool.
Loved all the goofy Chicago accents though, especially from that one cop who was played by the real-life thief that inspired the movie.
"We'Re gonna nail yer ass ta da flooRboards"
I wouldn't say it sucks but it's definitely a letdown, barely any action and the ending is a big jerkoff, he burns his house down goes rogue and then kills the villain in like 38 seconds.
I love how the MC is the most unpleasant character on the planet and he somehow forces/charms the love interest with his aggressive and horrible personality.
actually the most romantic scene in kino history
youtu.be
barely any action and the ending is a big jerkoff
you didn't like HEAT,either,right?
he somehow forces/charms the love interest
yeah, with money and a new house LOL
get the opportunity of a lifetime doing something you're good at
fuck it all up because you're a retard? and also commit numerous counts of murder and destruction of property
and it goes both ways
Both are style over substance. Throw in To Live and Die in LA to that list for good measure.
