Who do you think should play the next Doctor?
Alan Davies
James Acaster
David Mitchell
Richard Ayoade
Stephen Fry
Rob Beckett
Romesh Ranganathan
Sue Perkins
James May
Idris Elba
Michael McIntyre
Rosie Jones
Alexander Armstrong
other (please specify)
is remembered as a cowardly gay crybaby with a weird accent who presided over the worst ratings and wasn't even present in his best episodes
An unknown actor. Fan casting is always ass.
I don't know, I think the point of that episode was for the contrast to be jarring. I'm not going to call it high art, but it clearly dealt with ideas of the shortness of life and the enjoyment one can get from it.
I remember how fucking jarring it was watching The Doctor pretend to be drunk, but at least in that scene the purpose was deception. It shouldn't become the norm in any case
I feel like RTD1 was carried heavily by a combination of good stories with emotional weight (Moffat and other writers using ideas formed in the wilderness years) and then a big bombastic RTD finale which brought a lot of hype.
That was a nice balance to have, and I like Moffat but the show started to veer too much in one direction or another in his tenure. S8 is miserable to watch, even the good episodes.
UNIT has everyone who ever worked for them implanted with a glowing biochip
Fucking what?
The Girl in The Fireplace is a massively overrated episode, I never was a big fan of it. But the problem here is that he does this type of writing in every other episode, and the seasons are so short, so it's mostly filler that's "okay" at best, one standout episode, maybe two, and then we're already at the finale that ends up shitting the bed.
Most first world trannies straight up cannot mentally handle being misgendered and minor shit like this. Saying that, JK Rowling is now on some sort of anti-tranny crusade, which of course trannies themselves pushed her into, but she still seems obsessed. She also is playing the victim hard even though all the cancellation attempts on her failed. Basically they're all embarassements.
Tom Baker
That episode was written by Moffat, anon.
I note that the author of the book is "I.M. Foreman"
Ragebaited leftoid detected. I can promise you asmongoloid has never once spouted an opinion actual right wing people would champion.
Oh fuck lmao
I'll remember him as the Doctor who raped his companion and forced her to be a single mother for the rest of her days.
Conrad's punishment is going from dictator of the world to a chef banging cute waitresses at some yuppy restaurant
he won
no true rightwinger
It's too sad bros I think he had the best regen in nuwho. No cringe speech just him being happy
youtube.com
I was convinced they were going to give him some horrible fate worse than death like the incel.
Tony Curran really elevates that episode. Honestly the episode isn't that bad, it just felt like they took a great idea and cheapened it with the invisible chicken and schmaltzy music.
S5 in general has a slightly odd tone, where it feels like Moffat is doing RTD.
It’s odd that he got the happy ending while they celebrated the death of the guy in E1
1) Moffat wrote the girl in the fireplace
2) Smith is constantly portrayed as a massive horndog, the establishing shot of the impossible astronaut is him naked up a woman's dress
He committed suicide.
All he wanted was to make people happy but the world wasn't ready for it.
RTD's homosexuality overruled his instinct to punish the chud far-right incel, if conrad was ugly he would've been banished to the shadow realm for being problematic
Alan Carr or Hunter Schafer
I really fucking hate the regeneration energy explosions getting bigger and bigger every time. Eccleston is the only NuWho Doctor that regenerated with dignity.
what can we expect in regards to the prevalence of card games and call girls?
The 17th Doctor
Conrad bangs so many slags that every other child born in town is his
Meanwhile Fifteen roasts in regeneration hell
The gold explosion effect was supposed to be the time vortex leaving Eccleston's body but now every one has it.
He looks pretty good for 91
Empire of Death > The Reality War
Space Babies > The Reality War
Kill the Moon > The Reality War
Closing Time > The Reality War
Fear Her > The Reality War
Love and Monsters > The Reality War
Modern WHO is written by "military bad" Marxists
I'm surprised he didn't pull the old "homophobe is actually gay" trope.
mfw Omega turns into a giant CGI zombie monster instead of a crab
The woman in the wheelchair is absolutely insufferable. Completely two dimensional character.
Fuck, I forgot about that. Now I hate it even more.
Apologise.
Conrad's actor is gay so showing him happy with another man would have been on point.
Surprised how much misogynistic RTD is.
Moffat writting of women was much much better. Amy refuses to settle down and brings her husband to the Tardis. Clara becomes "the Doctor".
Not Canon
she's a apology character for Davros
I bet they changed it last minute in post after the leaks.
I wish the segway midge was there instead. Unlike her he was actually chill.
everyone forgot he existed
Please be joking.
Only just got around to watching it. Wtf bros.
The leaker only said he'd have a big claw and that's the very first thing we saw of him
I profoundly apologise. When I first watched it live I had a big dislike of Clara at the time so I think that clouded my judgement a bit. But years later re-watching all of nu-who and coming to this episode, I wonder why I even hated it in the first place. Yes it would've been nice if Galifrey and the Time Lords played a bigger role but I think it was a decent companion send off.
Clear anti abortion message is very unlike RTD.
Why does almost everything new have to be so gay and subverise and poorly written? This isn't just a Doctor Who problem, it's a problem with basically all entertainment. Something is clearly very wrong, even kids who grew up on the new stuff still prefer older fiction when they're given a chance to check it out.
He actually outlived Nu Who. Very based
no anon don't you see we HAD to see wheels interacting with another cripple, this was absolutely integral to the plot
What is RTD's obsession with having black people abandon children?
Ruby's adoptive mum abandoned/forgot about her at least twice I can remember.
Deadbeat black Doctor abandons a companion, who barely had anything to do all season, with his black baby.
The Five Doctors remake starring 10, Metacrisis Doctor, 14, 16, and The Moment
Same reason he thinks of black people using guns when he sees Ncuti using the sonic.
Smith to Capaldi was done well, just a snap of the head, no insane soaring chorus and 5 minutes of radiation beaming out of every limb
this is unironically true but people will disagree just because Moffat is more fanservice-y with his depictions of women than RTD
First black male doctor
First Doctor to rape a companion.
What did Russell mean by this?
First choice Richard E Grant or Robert Carlyle. Would settle for Michael Sheen.
David Mitchell would be an interesting out of left field take, but I don't think he'd have the range for stuff that isn't outright comedy.
Complete wild card: Toby Jones. Give him a walking stick and a bowler hat. It could work.
Apologise.
I never had to. I always knew it was a flawed but very compelling finale from a time when the show cared 100% about story story and only story, and when it had actually good productions values and dared to be earnest & serious without shielding itself with satire or parody. It's not a great finale but it was vastly overhated, and has more artistic merit to it than the last five seasons of NuWho combined.
RTD: umm akshually its not the 16th doctor but bad wolf entity filling in before the next generation is ready
It wasn't bad, I liked the idea, but the show was too uneven in quality and characterization to make the regeneration stick the landing even if it was well directed and had an excellent soundtrack.
I hope they release this song normally, Murray Gold delivered.
Kind of represents how hollow Ncuti's Doctor is... he says "I love you" even more so than Jodie's Doctor (considering they also had that point made in the finale) and yet family and people are constantly forgotten as a plot point. Constantly telling people you love them is not the same as showing it.
the tardis beat him many times with Rose II and River Song
Space Babies is a metaphysical masterpiece
Andrew Lawrence
what is this obsession with black children in general? it's utterly creepy
So now that the dust has cleared, what actually was the jump the shark moment?
binning McGann for Ecclestone and having a northern hardman for a Doctor
Captain Jack being gay everywhere
Tennant kissing every female in sight
The Master dancing to Scissor Sisters before he gets defeated by Space Jesus
The Doctor-Donna/Metacrisis/spare regeneration/Rose's Tennant fucktoy
John Simm turning everyone on Earth into himself. Bonus: implying Obama was going to save the world
Tennant crashing out of a spaceship at several hundred MPH, crashing through glass and hitting the floor, and he doesn't die
Everything River Song related, her relationship with Amy and Rory
Putting Hitler in the cupboard
The Doctor's death, a fixed event, gets deflected because he uses a robot instead. And then a prophecy reveals he's meant to die on Trenzalore even though his previous death was a fixed event. Just everything about this stupid arc.
The Impossible Girl
Time Lords can change gender and race in regenerations (Missy = Master reveal)
Donald Trump references and 'history's a whitewash'
Jodie Whitaker
Timeless Child
Indian Master
Tennant 2.0
Zesty gay black Doctor
Introducing Billie Piper
oh fuck thats what the copes goig to be, Rose "regeneration" is actually The Moment
The biggest problem of this episode is the companion had already gotten an excelent send off in Face the Raven. The cycle of her character was closed.
No need to spend a whole episode with her again.
at least it wasn't ruby who ended up a single mother
why precisely was the god of wishes born as a german baby in 19th century bavaria, please explain
The DC comics were always a lot more true blue. Very enjoyable, but they were big, brave uncles and aunties who probably insisted on a high standard of, you know, mental and physical hygiene. Whereas the Stan Lee stuff, the Marvel comics, he went from one dimensional characters whose only characteristic was they dressed up in costumes and did good. Whereas Stan Lee had this huge breakthrough of two-dimensional characters. So, they dress up in costumes and do good, but they've got a bad heart. Or a bad leg. I actually did for a long while think that having a bad leg was an actual character trait.
RTD failed to write humans in general past series 1. Martha is just "not Rose", and Donna is just comedy sidekick.
He never put the kind of effort into establishing the companion character as a real person with a real family and personal drives, that he put into Rose in the beginning.
The cycle of her character was closed.
But the cycle of the Doctor's character arc was not, and his character arc resulted in unnaturally dragging his companion out of a natural end.
Also why didn't the Doctor deliver the baby back to his parents?
Timeless Child.
Everyone up to that point felt like a natural progression of things getting dumber and dumber with nu-who.
Timeless Child just broke the illusion for everyone and then while it was recoverable at that point. Tennant 2.0 smashed any chances of a recovery with a sledge-hammer and we're now here.
They really recreated the flirting vs harassment meme
Conrad was given a second chance because Ruby was dripping wet for him but Al was turned into a sperm and egg before being hoovered up and the Doctor emoting on him and Belinda laughong.
He wrote Micky like Rose's dog and ridicule Martha for having a crush on 10. Black characters aren't his strong suit no matter how he protests.
billie piper doctor
Woke writers often stumble into racism or bigotry. Look at Miles Morales in Spider-Man, a black-latino made by a Jewish writer who constantly has to be faux-street combined with nerd/geek to hit all the bases but comes across like pic related.
Conrad didn't commit the crime of racemixing
and Donna is just comedy sidekick.
you clearly didn't watch donna
I FUCKING CALLED IT
It's a play on superstitions. 7 being a lucky number and 777 being thrice as much.
Seventh son of the the seventh son of the seventh son.
The BBC is forcing quotas on black characters. Even though they’re vastly overrepresented compared to the black population of Britain. But yeah, it is creepy how many black kids are put to work in the studio instead of being in school or with their parents.
I think the idea is that the God of Wishes just always manifests as a seventh son of a seventh son of anyone.
Conrad tried keeping the South Africans and Brazillians alive despite being a chud. That makes him pure of heart.
What has the Doctor ever done for the south africans and Brazillians?
fuck you miles is great. And this meme is outdated because Primos turned out to be fine
Kek
Doctor, couldn't you have wished for knowledge of where the baby was from and taken him back there before wishing the wishes away?
But babes, he:s much better off in a modern mixed family. Diversity is strength!
REALLY?
I don't buy Donna as a character. All I see is Catherine Tate doing a bit.
BBC on the BBC
hi Rusty
it doesn't get anymore shark jump than the timeless child adding an infinite number of regens and making the first doctor a fat black woman
I think it was already too late. How do you recover from having a female Doctor? Jodie proved it doesn't work.
pic
Literally never happened. I don't know why people on the internet love creating fictional scenarios for themselves to get upset at.
Timeless child.
Timeless Child can be fixed with a Bootstrap Paradox
How can it get worse from here? Wheelchair doctor?
binning McGann for Ecclestone and having a northern hardman for a Doctor
Eccleston was kino. Easily the best NuWho Doctor.
Donald Trump references and 'history's a whitewash'
Not the shark jumping moment, but this set the stage for what was to come.
Jodie Whitaker
This is the shark jumping moment. The successful 50 year old formula was broken for no other reason than ‘it’s about time!’
Jodie Whitaker
Timeless Child
A lot of people I know kind of began quitting the show with Capaldi's second season, but it wasn't like a hateful quitting, it was just them naturally petering out/losing interest. A lot of people tuned back into Jodie to see if anything was going to be different or better with a new showrunner and that was a hateful quit.
We are never again getting a charismatic british caucasian man as the Doctor, are we?
nobody cares
UNIT is beyond reproach and will never, EVER do anything they need to be accountable for. Chud.
He never put the kind of effort into establishing the companion character as a real person with a real family and personal drives, that he put into Rose in the beginning.
I was watching some reactors watching early new who and impressed me how natural unlikely Rose is, and yet this made me like her more.
It's weird, but she feels more like a real person. She is very selfist and and completely mistreats her relationship with Mickey, she's a cheater and makes a bunch irrational decisions, but all fit to her character.
She is awful, but awful in a way your friend would be. The show only forces to make her more likeable by the end of season 2, which actually makes her more unlikable.
Pretty sure Billie Piper is a litmus test so RTD can scour the Web for handsome men to play the Doctor
Folklore:
In Lancashire and particularly in Blackburn there was, in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, a tradition of calling seventh sons of seventh sons (and seventh sons) 'Doctor' (forename) because of their supposed abilities as healers.[3]
The seventh son of a seventh son is gifted as a healer. The seventh son of a seventh son is part of a more general phenomenon known as the "cure" (sometimes also called the "charm").[4] Belief in the efficacy of seventh son healers and other folklore related to healing persisted to the 20th century in parts of Ireland.[5]
So why was Ruby not the companion for both series?
Matt Lucas.
Unless they self identify as female, no.
Capaldi drought is tumblr girls quitting
The Girl in The Fireplace
Is this being talked about here as if it was an RTD episode?
Read the lines you uppity sambo SHITS
The woman was NOT the doctor
the gay black guy in a dress was NOT the doctor
billie piper is NOT the doctor
call me when there's finally a new season of doctor who
If he's not WHITE with BROWN HAIR who REGRETS not being GINGER then it's not DOCTOR WHO
shut this thread down, we don't need it
Didn't want Ncuti to put a bun in her oven.
Behind the scenes drama.
What the extent of that drama was won't be known until enough time has past
We forgot it was Moffat....
You're not familiar with Catherine Tate because the inflexion of her voice as Donna is the same as her tone of voice when she did comedy bits in her sketch show. She was absolutely used to play up comedy, from her first appearance in the Tardis.
Damn he actually managed to piss off all of the fans, including the deepest most forgiving ones I think he genuinely forgot doctor who is also a nerdy sci fi show that needs to be treated with care
then the poppy plot wouldnt work
Bring back Tennant.
She also is playing the victim hard even though all the cancellation attempts on her failed
Oh well if they failed she should be perfectly accepting of them then.
Doctor after Billie Piper should be a ginger AND the last one
the trope is 'whore with a heart of gold'
So why was Ruby not the companion for both series?
The series would be much better if she was. Belinda character peaked in episode 3, and writers didn't know what to do with her after that. Having one companion for 2 seasons would be more consistent. Instead we got two undeveloped companions.
10th Doctor
becomes younger and more attractive to appeal to Rose
12th Doctor
becomes old as a way of remembering humility
I’ve seen a few of the usuals suspects on Twitter giving it 10/10, but far fewer than usual. Even the biggest shills are struggling with this one.
The producers ruined her mental health just like they did for Chris Eccleston.
Think about it, she did over 200 episodes of Corrie but got burned out by working 15 episodes with Russell T. Davies, Jane Tranter, Phil Collinson, and Julie Gardner.
They tried that and it sucked.
why is the show now so derivise and resentful of the tropes and trappings that made it succesful? why does the BBC now consider it an admission of fault if they go back to those tropes?
Weird how Ruby was entirely responsible for his happiness but was then annoyed that he had it.
Where did I say that? She is pretending she is some underdog no one cares about pushing against the grain even tho she represents the mainstream opinion, that's what's stupid.
Another soft northerner can't handle it.
What about 14 then?
Would have been funny if instead of Rose it was Donna
Who cares what twitter thinks? Fuck off back there faggot
Eccleston was kino. Easily the best NuWho Doctor.
I agree, but easy to forget a lot of people hated the idea of replacing McGann. If you're a Classic purist then this was a sign of things to come.
This is the shark jumping moment. The successful 50 year old formula was broken for no other reason than ‘it’s about time!’
Agreed, I'm a bit baffled by those who can forgive a female Doctor talking to Rosa Parks but the Timeless Child is where they draw the line. Obviously the Timeless Child sucks, but things were already too far gone.
Most people quit after S8, and I'm not sure it was entirely because Capaldi was 'too old'. S8 was pretty bad. I think most people saw the decline in writing throughout Smith's tenure but held onto the 50th, and then the new Doctor, as a chance to see if things would improve. S8 was a signal that no, they wouldn't.
Then Moffat belts out S9 which is fantastic. But most people didn't watch it. And it suffers from having Clara who was an alienating character, people were just sick of her. Kind of a shame.
Those viewers watching Jodie's first episode did so out of pure curiosity, I doubt any would've stayed even if the concept did work.
Miles is great
No he isn't. Miles comics have all been crap (have you even read any) and he was only created by Bendis for diversity points. He was pretty bad in the videogame. The only good adaptation of Miles was in the animated movies. Even then, Miles only exists because executives want to maintain a younger Spider character which they can't properly do with Peter anymore. And everything Miles has is a copy or borrowed from Spider-Man. There is nothing original there. It is over a decade of existing and nothing original.
Where as Peter Parker had, in his first run by Steve Ditko, a whole cast of characters and most iconic villains created. You simply know, nothing.
>pic
Literally never happened
I was more making a point over how attempts at diversity can literally play into stereotypes. Like the other anon said, RTD wanted to avoid a load of tropes but then literally made bad black parents who abandon children happen a bunch over two short series.
Fools. Girl in the Fireplace shows a lot of troubling signs of future Moffat but since it's one episode from a series of 13 it gets away with it and honestly has more wisdom and creativity than anything they've done in the last three years.
No cringe speech
Just that Joy crap.
14th Doctor
re uses an old face to show how worn down they are
Those tropes won't make you pop off on twitter is why. I feel like shows are written now to "what scenes can we get to go viral"
There is that but also I think it lacks the urgency of Matt Smith Doctor stuff or that ongoing plot. Because even if you hate all that River stuff/Doctor dying/silence etc, it was a bait/hook.
Honestly would’ve been better since rose is already getting a push with big finish. This feels like the main show is trying to get off the ground of the good will of the radio drama’s.
Reality War is just a bunch of rushed nonsense strung together. It's not even some giga "woke" episode in itself, Rusty just fucked up coming up with the most random bullshit that doesn't go well while not actually wrapping up every mystery box he set up even tho it's not just a season finale but the finale of a whole Doctor iteration and no guarantee of the show being renewed.
4 episodes in and it feels like the Doctor has done fuck all
kinda surprising
People (probably RTD and producers) put out rumours she is a diva. But she still came back for plenty of episodes?
I suspect there was another breakdown which as another anon has mentioned, has happened before with Christopher Eccleston. The BBC is very politicised with mafia-type factions.
Can the show continue without its disney money and ratings?
Sorry I only care to know miles from the cartoons and movies. He's pretty good in those. Comics I need to keep up with all the reboots and retooling and revamp numbering and I don't have the will to give a shit
That's early first Doctor for you. The Doctor himself is not the hero, and is borderline an antagonist. It's kino
dugga doo
Conrad's actor is gay
When the fuck will Rusty get Me Too'd?
I feel like shows are written now to "what scenes can we get to go viral"
that is exactly right. RTD said in one of the recent Unleashed episodes that the show now has to adapt 'to the era of storytelling in which you hope your show can generate online content' which honestly made me give up for this era completely
Theory
the Doctor died after putting their energy into the TARDIS
the 14th is taking over and will have normal regeneration again
I think this because of how we saw the Rani be killed and technically succeeded by their prior self
This is why they can never go back to a straight white guy. The Twitter shills are who the show is now aimed at and they will throw a tantrum if they ‘give in’ and try to give it popular appeal again.
I bet we get 6 more episodes in 2 years from the bbc
Ian and Barbara were the protagonists back then.
He is fine to decent in those animated movies, and they are the best depiction of him. And that is it. But he is still a copy of a copy, cynically made for cynical reasons. I don't hate anyone for enjoying those movies, but when you adamantly claim he is good I feel like you're just not displaying the whole breadth of the context here.
I was more making a point over how attempts at diversity can literally play into stereotypes
All media plays into stereotypes, dummy.
RTD wanted to avoid a load of tropes but then literally made bad black parents who abandon children happen a bunch over two short series
RTD is a hack writer in very stupid and funny ways, but you're so obsessed with politics that your mind immediately went to thinking about woke and blue-haired social media users.
It ran for 60 years before Disney
At the time the love story was a novelty. It's a tired concept now.
It helps that Reinette is actually written well, with a lot more agency than most. It's a very charming episode that ends on a much weightier emotional beat than most nuWho stories do, without going full cringe and overdoing the emotion. And I like that the Doctor never discovers the reason why they want Reinette.
Marigold on fine form too with one of his better and more subdued tracks from the earlier series.
youtu.be
yes, the implied twist was that 14/mrs flood were the legitimate regeneration all along
His regeneration literally exploded an entire Dalek armada.
I can see RTD being a gay wank and fucking up production when he doesn't get the funding he wants
Would be funny if it turns out all the stuff about her being a diva turned out to be true and they reduced her role because of it.
They haven't even waited a few days and they're already spoiling the ending on the main DW channel
Coming soon to Big Finish. Anita and Clala must work together to stop the sinister Great Intelligence from messing with the Doctors Timeline.
they are desperate
I loved Capaldi regeneration the most. Refusing to die in your finale, only to accept death in the Christmas special with Doc 1 was great.
All media plays into stereotypes, dummy.
Yeah no shit, that is a moot point.
RTD is a hack writer in very stupid and funny ways, but you're so obsessed with politics that your mind immediately went to thinking about woke and blue-haired social media users.
You've completely misread the point I was making. I am not obsessed with politics, I simply think it is funny/ironic that people who ARE obsessed with politics (people like RTD) can have serious blindspots that play into stereotypes that others would find offensive. Do you not understand that?
It seems like Doctor Who has made it's longest running dickriders legitimately considering the rope. This is just sad man.
youtu.be
IF we're getting anything with Piper it's gonna be like Tennant with three specials, then she regens into someone else
i doubt Tennant's bi-regenerated Doctor will be the main one but i do wonder what is going to be done to him, if anything
making him The Valeyard seemed to be a popular headcanon
Can the show continue without its disney money and ratings?
Disney money went all to CGI monsters we didn't need. So the show might improve a lot without disney.
Did she ever do any Big Finish?
I don't need to. If I only listen to DW audio books and never touch the show. I still get enough of proper DW and vise versa as well.
when you think about it RTD has made it impossible to have wilderness content since 15 is dead and he doesn't want to spoil if Billie is a doctor or not. That leaves only backup Tenant for content
Only the best card games, of course.
No I don’t think so.
CGI for once isn’t the problem it’s the writing please sack Russel.

RTD has left his mark on Who forever. Anyone who wants to take over is left with 10 or Rose.
Why didn't Jodie bigenerate?
I'm almost on season 3 and the Doctor straight up causes pretty much every single problem they get in to. I'm having fun with it.
If 99% of someone's appearances/adaptions are bad and only one is good and you point at the good one as an average example, you're not displaying a proper picture.
Yeah no shit, that is a moot point.
I know, that's why I called you a dummy for saying you were making that moot point.
I am not obsessed with politics
Woke writers often stumble into racism or bigotry. Look at Miles Morales in Spider-Man, a black-latino made by a Jewish writer who constantly has to be faux-street combined with nerd/geek to hit all the bases but comes across like pic related [Anon Babble cartoon].
Her only Big Finish credit is reading 11. Doctor Who: Destiny of the Doctor: The Time Machine.
Anyone who wants to take over is left with 10 or Rose.
Superhero movies reboot all the time.
The Master fucked it up
another new doctor, another stunt casting that very clearly isn't intended to be an actual doctor
from this too i shall abstain
Unless they focus on the timeless child years
Is the timelords being sterile thing an allegory for gay men not being able to have children of their own?
Coleman said she might do BF if she gets to do it with Capaldi, but Capaldi is generally not interested in BF.
Comics is small compared to movies and tv anon, at this point Miles in other mediums have surpassed his source material there for making him good.
Time lords are gay humans.
GB Scores:
The Robot Revolution: 6.28
Lux: 7.59
The Well: 8.05
Lucky Day: 7.17
The Story & the Engine: 6.50
Interstellar Song Contest: 7.39
Wish World: 6.18
The Reality War: 5.10
Not the first time they’ve done it, it’s more making time lords less human thing.
I wasn't making a moot point, I was simply providing a picture of what happened. And nothing about that is obsessed with politics? It is just a point about how people who make cynical attempts at pleasing one audience can often stumble into other political blindspots. Narrow thinking does that sometimes. If you're assuming I must be Anon Babble then you're getting angry over buzzwords rather than the actual point.
Oi! Ableist!
I loved it. I found things like the 'asking the alien for its pronouns' funny. It doesn't make me angry or ruin it for me. The toymaker episode and the one in space were both fantastic though, I really enjoyed them.
No it's a lazy writer's decision to give Rani a retarded motive
She straight up said she finds Capaldi sexy but not Matt Smith. That must sting.
OVERNIGHT VIEWING FIGURES AT 2.2M
UP 400K FROM LAST WEEK
Surprising high.
Maybe releasing on disney+ before airing on BBC was hurting the live audience.
I just imagine her walking past Smith and grabbing Capaldi’s arm.
The Masters genocide bomb didn't actually wipe out the timelords, it just made them sterile.
The master canonically made himself sterile to fuck over the Timelords.
Thank you Russell
ok but why has this episode in particular made the reddit monkeys finally admit reality? It was bad but it wasn't anywhere as near as bad as chibnall wank
why has this made the normgroids lose their tiny minds? I don't get it
Easily the worst Doctor of the modern era. Almost as shit as Colin Baker.
On an unrelated note I can't stand trannies and I wish JK all the best in crushing them.
Comics is small compared to
No doubt it is but still aside from those two movies, everything else has been poor (videogames/other appearances included). And it is still true that everything he has is essentially a copy. Two good animated movies don't redeem everything.
the shark jumping moment was definitely The Timeless Child (not even Whitaker being a female Doctor since it had already been established before with Missy and the fact that female Time Lords even exist);
many of the previously listed things like Jack being such a gaylord or John Simm dancing to Scissor Sisters made sense because the show was always campy liberal bullshit but The Timeless Child breaks the plot and the show's format in a fundamental narrative way far more than any woke aesthetic flourishes or casting choices ever could
just to be clear about what The Timeless Child plot actually is:
it's that The Doctor is actually not even a Time Lord from Gallifrey, the Time Lords being able to regenerate isn't actually a Time Lord thing but stolen from said Doctor who is actually not just a random renegade Time Lord but le most super special first ever Time Space man with the super powers (this is actually the worst part of this plot point since it ruins the whole premise of what kind of character The Doctor is in relation to his homeworld and being just *A* Time Lord), The Doctor actually didn't have just 12 regenerations and Hartnell wasn't the first (this breaks the established plot in so many fucking ways such as why did 11 need those extra regens on Trenzalore etc) in fact The Doctor was actually a super secret Jason Bourne space assassin in Gallifrey's black ops with dozens of regenerations before Hartnell (seriously, I feel like people have memory holed this specific part of the sheer bullshit of this plot point)
The Timeless Child being that fucking bullshit and story breaking demonstrated more than anything else before that the writers didn't give a fuck about the canon, consistent writing or even the premise and point of what Doctor Who is and marked clearly that the show was going to become fanfiction shit from then onwards
the reason Bi-generation and Billie are possible is because of the rules being that broken
That cigar selfie did not look like somebody playing the underdog.
once they were known as time lords now they are cyber-form
Wait so is the recent series over? Haven't kept up at all, only lurk occasionally to see what nu nu who is like. Saw a glimpse of The Rani bi-regeneration live but only because I was waiting to watch Eurovision. I thought that was like a mid-series plot point but now The Doctor has regenerated again, already? What's going on?
He's good in those games too wtf are you smoking?
Hey man if you like to laugh at dumb shit I’m surprised you’re not just watching reality tv.
>The master canonically made himself sterile to fuck over the Timelords.
The master doesn't want to have kids.
The master also only wants to fuck the Doctor
the establishing shot of the impossible astronaut is him naked up a woman's dress
what
If only Doctor Who was classical liberal.
100% because the diehard fans would watch it early and wouldn't count towards the veiwing figure
You know it's safe to be racist here, you don't need to lie to yourself that you don't hate Miles because he replaced a aging white character and that harms you sense of self right?
Then Moffat belts out S9 which is fantastic
The Me series? It had the one excellent episode, but was otherwise shit.
Why is he good in those games? What is original about any of it aside from inserting him into Peter storylines he wasn't in? He comes across as whiney. And again, it just copies more Peter stuff but for Miles. And takes away from Peter's journey in those games too. What are you smoking?
did yuo forget the magma sludge he shot out of his hands on the clock tower
We're right back where we started now with Billie Piper and Tennant.
Honestly I like it. Give me more Billie
Because it doesn't ruin the storyline or anything. It's just a second or two where they feel the need to remind everyone how progressive they are, then the story continues.
I was simply providing a picture of what happened
And I was simply saying that your pic related has never happened.
And nothing about that is obsessed with politics?
you're getting angry over buzzwords rather than the actual point
I'm only angry at you being a dummy and being too dumb to see that you made a moot point about stereotypes and hack writers into a tangent about muh woke and muh blue-hair social media users.
yeah didn't the master literally have a multicolor one?
How is Omega being the first time lord fits with the new lore of the timeless child?
And why are the Doctor and Rani both affected by the genebomb, if the Doctor was only adopted by the timelords and is actually a different race?
i've shot out some sludge to the new doctor already
Many will say it was when the Doctor regenerated into a woman, but I recognize that this rot began before Chibnall! When the Moffags gush about their era, I will be there to remind them. I will always remind them. Moffat did it first.
Series 9 is pigshit.
Ironically this show has gone a long way to proving that content =/= ratings.
Series 9 is kino. Best season after season 4
Tecteun invented regeneration, Omega invented time travel. Time lords are based on his DNA as the timeless child so he is affected too.
Horrible image. It's a different time of day there to what it looks like in the episode, and badly edited.
not even Whitaker being a female Doctor since it had already been established before with Missy and the fact that female Time Lords even exist
That was the actual start of the rules being broken though. The character archetype of the Doctor does not work as a woman.
Timeless Child gave them regeneration.
Omega invented Time Travel which officially made them Time Lords.
Rassilon was just the ruling party of the formed civilization that stemmed from this union.
That's the current RTD lore.
you've omitted the fact that the only reason that the timeless child happened is because insane race communist faggots wanted to make the original doctor a black child for no reason other than that they're insane race communists
Gatwa is the first Doctor with no episodes with Daleks, Cybermen and The Master
No my point is anon that people with a set of politics can sometimes stumble into political blindness that can often be politically offensive to their own audience sometime. That was simply it. I never once mentioned "blue hair social media users" and you're projecting so much more than what I said. Seriously, it is bizarre.
Writers with different politics can make the exact same mistakes but with how much RTD has said he has focused on fighting against those stereotypes (like the Davros thing etc) then falling into other stereotypes by accident is funny/ironic. That is all.
and The Master
He faced the female Master, aka "Rani".
The next episode is Billie Piper live at the hospital with Tom Baker
I thought the next doctor would be DUGGA DOO
What exhausts me about that finale and everything else is how these nuWho writers constantly scream at me to tell me how to feel:
THIS IS BIG EMOTIONAL MOMENT
But I sit there and feel absolutely fucking nothing. Doctor and characters say words but they don't express it, it all feels cheap and hollow. It is exhausting.
2008
RTD writes in Project Indigo as a lazy way to get characters to certain lications
2025
He brings it back in another finale for the exact same purpose
I never once mentioned "blue hair social media users"
My bad, you must have meant pic unrelated.
Writers with different politics can make the exact same mistakes but with how much RTD has said he has focused on fighting against those stereotypes (like the Davros thing etc) then falling into other stereotypes by accident is funny/ironic
This is a much more sensible point than your first post.
try watching any episode this series without the music. it's hilarious.
I stopped watching after this episode exactly because a saw a female Doctor coming down the pipeline.
I actually think Michelle Gomez is decent, but she's not the Master. She didn't have to be the Rani either (honestly the Rani is a pretty boring character). She could've been an original character, wouldn't that be a change. But no, they had to fuck with the canon and render characters meaningless.
Everything that happened in Chibnall's era is just a continuation of that, just without the sometimes good writing.
Having white writers try to make Miles "street" in stereotypical ways is super racist.
what do you know what super racist is? Your on Anon Babble
Moffat is responsible for a lot of shit, including gender changing regeneration. But even though he did it for bad reasons, I can still over look it since Michelle did a good job imo. But the Timeless Child was such a big massive stinking turd that even Moffat's shit pales in comparison. And it was quite clearly done as a gigantic big fuck you to Whites and men, with zero pay off, zero reason, zero benefit.
Ncuti > Tennant
I’ll link your back with my dick, faggot.
Jamie Campbell Bower
This is a much more sensible point than your first post.
That was my first point too, you just misread it and decided I was something I am not. RTD's appeals to audiences just feel clumsy because he is no longer with it and doesn't get it anymore. I just think that is funny. It also represents how much his writing has become messy.
the most based Doctor
Omega created Time Lord time travel, not regenerations.
The second question can't be explained.
Also why didn't the Doctor deliver the baby back to his parents?
Because it was a white german
I am openly a racist which is different to shitlibs pretending to be super not-racist and then being racist
It's a very feminine trait to say empty "I love you"s to people. Women (and effeminates) say "I love you" very often while clearly not meaning it; some of those smarter in this group will say this is the "words of affirmation" love language, the second weakest of the 5 (second to "receiving gifts").
Like you said, showing love means much more than just saying "love". It requires more thought and effort 100% of the time. I think stupid people (again, often women) hear someone say "I love you" multiple times and think that automatically means it is not only true but VERY true -- not aware that those words can just be said by anybody, anytime, and actually come across as bullshit if not backed up by any actions.
ESL-kun, I don't know what to tell you.
There's a difference between "Woke writers often stumble into racism or bigotry" and "Writers with different politics can make the exact same mistakes".
you just misread it and decided I was something I am not
I read it, called your pic dumb, and then concluded you were dummy after reading your other posts.
RTD's appeals to audiences just feel clumsy because he is no longer with it and doesn't get it anymore. I just think that is funny. It also represents how much his writing has become messy.
I wholeheartedly agree, but I still think trying to make a wider muh culture wars point about it was dumb.
And why are the Doctor and Rani both affected by the genebomb, if the Doctor was only adopted by the timelords and is actually a different race
I mean this is easy to explain, because Time Lords injected themselves with the Timeless Child DNA they became part-Timeless Child race so some things that affect the Timeless Child race would affect the Time Lords as well.
It was pleb filter kino, rosebros WON. RTDGODS won.
them
shut up Rusty your finale sucks and you did Gatwa dirty by not even being able to give him an okay send-off
There's a difference between "Woke writers often stumble into racism or bigotry" and "Writers with different politics can make the exact same mistakes".
I only clarified because you made the assumption I was acting as though others couldn't make the same mistake. The problem here is your assumptions reading into generalisations I was not making. You were reading into things I did not say. You literally made a bunch of political assumptions about me rather than reading the context or the post I was replying to. Which makes you the idiot here.
I wholeheartedly agree, but I still think trying to make a wider muh culture wars point about it was dumb.
Rather than just laughing about the mistakes some people make you're the one who went off on one.
I genuinely don't understand this opinion. It's a very solid series.
Magician's Apprentice/Witch's Familiar
Uneven characterisation and I don't care for fucking with Davros' timeline. But it's way better than anything in S8. It feels entertaining and there's some great character moments between the Doctor and Davros.
Under the Lake/Before the Flood
I mean this is just fantastic. It feels like a Classic Who horror serial. How can you not like it? Is it the deaf girl and the guitar stuff?
The Girl Who Died/The Woman Who Lived
If we take it as one story, it starts stupidly and ends stupidly. But the last third of part 1 and first two thirds of part 2 are some really good character writing. It's interesting to see the results of the Doctor doing 'good' but impulsively.
Zygon Invasion/Inversion
The allegory is way too on the nose and the climatic speech is kinda lame, even if well acted. But it feels like a spy thriller almost which I like. I appreciate you have to ignore the wider implications for the continuity though.
Sleep No More
Okay, we all know it's shit, move on.
Face the Raven
Kinda feels like Utopia from S3. Intriguing, with a nice climax, but ultimately all setup.
Heaven Sent
Need I say more?
Hell Bent
Definitely needed to be reworked. A disappointment. But if you let go of your Clara hate (trust me, I hated her at the time too) I think it's somewhat okay. Good music, nicely produced. Ignore the woke regeneration and rushed plot and it's okay. Not as miserable as Death in Heaven.
what happened to marigold? why is he so shit now?
Ncuti wasn't bad. Perhaps even the second best nuWho Doctor.
At what point will you accept that Moffat made a show for sci-fi nerds, and RTD and Chibnall only tried to make shows that appeal to tumblr girls?
I think I've twigged why redditors are quite so mad about Billie- it's not that it's lazy or hack shit (they are used to this by now and in fact they happily slurp it up), it's because it's been drilled into them since Chibnall that you are a bad goy if you enjoyed the early revival series and if the doctor isn't a shitlib woman or crying homosexual black man then you're an irredeemable chud
So basically redditors psy-opped themselves into enjoying chibnallslop and now the show is telling them that they need to retvrn so they're having a melty
RTD was inspired by Buffy/Angel. Supernatural, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Merlin all became tumblr shows. RTD is trying to balance doing 00s shit again but appealing to these same audiences but just falling back into nostalgia too. And it just represents how you can't teach an old dog new tricks
more bait
Smith was peak tumblr era you retard
You literally made a bunch of political assumptions about me rather than reading the context or the post I was replying to
You're the one who posted a dumb blue-hair twittering comic and said "I was simply providing a picture of what happened".
Rather than just laughing about the mistakes some people make you're the one who went off on one.
You keep replying and asking me to explain why you're dumb and it's really my fault for continuing to oblige.
Nicholas Briggs voicing Omega
Kek
Good viewership. Only the 5th worst in history. Disney will be happy with that
is this ratings
yes, they're not mad that it's cheap, they're mad that the show is "devolving" and the lies they told themselves about nu-nu-who were wrong
Chibnall refused to make a tumblr show, he wouldn't even let Jodie and Yaz be cutesy with each other despite Yaz's actress constantly telling him that the fans want it.
You're the one who posted a dumb blue-hair twittering comic and said "I was simply providing a picture of what happened".
Because it is representative of the point I made, the point that a couple posts ago you literally agreed with. Can you not see how stupid you're being.
still not ginger
Honestly, he only ever had ONE request...
looks like a sex doll
the reason why everybody let Missy slide at the time and why Moffatfags still look back on it fondly and don't view it as the beginning of the show's collapse is because Missy and 12 and their relationship/character arc were genuinely well written and well acted. Good writing and acting go a long way in making something palatable, even if it fudges the established canon a bit.
The problem with new NuWho is not just that it's ultra giga woke and throws the established canon out of the window, it's that it's also written fucking terribly and acted horribly to go along with it
A gay black Doctor is irksome for the straight white nerds watching the show who hate woke bullshit - but it would be much less so if the gay black Doctor wasn't a campy stereotype who broke down feebly crying every single episode
The Doctor being a woman is irksome but it would be much less so if she acted exactly the same as the confident charismatic men before instead of being a sullen ineffectual loser and if her episodes weren't painfully boring slop
The Timeless Child plot point is irksome... actually there's no saving this bit at all, same with the bi-generation and everything else
she's hot though
How about you are all racist on the same plan and acting like you being "honest flavor" is some how special is retarded and makes you fake
IGN still hasn't reviewed the finale bros. I think even their reviewer called it quits..
why would any of the new generation of kids watching this show care about Rose at all?
OH MY SARGON IS THAT THE HECKIN RANIARINO, IS THAT OMEGA, OMG LE SUSAN LE SUTEKH?!?!?
Redditor disingenuousness never ceases to amaze
Steve Buscemi, unironically.
29 October 1966, when William Hartnell regenerated into Patrick Troughton.
Changing out your lead actor is a major shark jump.
Once they'd broken that rule, it sort of gave them permission to jump every single shark.
Project Indigo
oh is that what that fucking thing was? the tranny must have been explaining it, but I wasn't listening
Rupert Grint.
Then he could at last be ginger.
I just don't like hypocrites
Fucking nailed it.
You made one moot point about stereotypes existing mixed in with one dumb point about culture wars, before eventually landing on a sensible point about how any writer can make the same mistakes but the irony of RTD consciously trying to avoid them makes it funny.
Osterhagen Key

it's interesting how I didn't bat an eye at the deaf girl in Under the Lake but the deaf girl in The Well made me think she was a diversity hire because the BBC has been pushing that actress recently
Thats everyone on the planet dibshit, it comes with being human. Your biases rule how you see life and other people just as much as it does the libs you hate.
The anti-racist writers put their actual racism on full display with this one.
be black Doctor
knock up your companion
insist it’s impossible because you’re sterile
punch a hole through space and time
conduct a quick paternity test, just to make very sure you’re no longer the daddy
run like hell
Smith wasn't written to appeal to Tumblrinas intentionally, it organically came to appeal to them since it happened to line up with their tastes at the time by happenstance whereas current NuWho is intentionally and *only* being written to appeal to Twitterards in a blatantly pandering way, that's the difference
Core of his personality.
He always runs from responsibility.
Doctor Who should be treated like James Bond. Nobody references the different actor in the role. A few core unchanging basic details (he's a Timelord, has a Tardis etc), but each era is basically it's own thing. The continuity has become too bloated and self referential and its killed the show. Having 16 Doctor is just ridiculous at this point
Gallifreyans can't breed
Bros, is Gallifrey planet of the incels? I guess not since they'd still have sex for pleasure and all that but there's 0 procreation going on, so really there'd be no need for timelords to have sex with eachother so I doubt many would be getting any.
The deaf girl in The Well was less glaring to me because it tied into the episode well... well, with the themes of distrust whereas I can't remember the point of the one in Under the Lake beyond ticking boxes.
>conduct a quick paternity test, just to make very sure you’re no longer the daddy
kek, we should've gotten a 'you are not the father' dance
they never resolved Belinda being the same actress as in Boom but I guess 15 saying "THIS MUST BE YOUR DESCENDANT BABES!!!1!" was enough?
Belinda deserved better than her fate
I absolutely hated Jodie during her run, but smiled when she showed up in yesterday's episode. Why is this?
This is beyond retarded and thats coming from someone who is trans
Jason Isaacs
Or David Morrissey since ReTarD likes bringing old characters back to boost viewers for 1 episode.
I could forgive the one in Under the Lake because the deafness did briefly come into play with her not being able to hear the ghosts coming after her. Don't know why she was the acting commanding officer though. Seems like that'd be problematic in a combat situation.
Because Jodie is cute!
I hated Ncuti until yesterday now I kind of miss him..
the show wasn't completely dead when Jodie was around
it was dying, and irreversibly so once The Timeless Children was aired, but it wasn't completely lost yet
I was also tired of ngudciti's flamboyant performance
utterly braindead normgroid opinion- do you write for the show by any chance?
the doctor is an eccentric oxford don stereotype
james bond is an upper class, athletic, intelligent and suave ladies man
you are allowed variations and you are allowed to interrogate the character but if you step out of this basic framework you might as well just make an entirely different show
That's why they jumped the "Timeless Child" shark, they basically gave themselves permission to have infinite Doctors so they could keep the gravy train alive.
I don't understand why the baby was such a big deal and that SHE had to be the mom at all. why didn't he just give Poppy to the foster mom like he did the God baby?
Smith wasn't written to appeal to Tumblrinas intentionally,
Yes he was. It's not a coincidence that two Steven Moffat shows were a part of the unholy SuperWhoLock trinity.
Still the best female Doctor, unbeaten
Best answer so far, he's a great actor.
literally lock Belinda in a box for most of the episode
Kek
oddly yes, she what I hoped Jodi would be.
she was just copying hartnell
the show is called Doctor Who not Doctor Jew
Agreed.
That's the curse of Doctor Who. You hate the current Doctor when they're around unless they're you're Doctor and then you realise that they've grown on you a little by the time that they left.
She actually was more doctor-y than Jodie and Ncuti.
True, there are many different classic regenerations that aren't over the top.
Imagine if Romana blew up the TARDIS in some giant gay explosion multiple times because she just decided to, she wasn't even mortally wounded, just wanted a chance of face.
but they were already able to continue it forever since Gallifrey gave 11 a new set from the crack in the sky in Time of the Doctor, and then another 30 or so years down the road they could contrive another reason
They did offer the part to Ron Moody back in the day. He turned it down, and we got Jon Pertwee instead.
All they had to do was bring back Romana and create a spinoff for a lead female Timelord. And all they had to do was bring Rani back instead of making Missy. But nooooooooooo.
I wish I could be locked in Belinda's box
They would have to write themselves out of that plot hole (she was left in E-space near the end of Tom's tenure).
because you realized that 13 was actually an endearing and likable sexy yorkshire version of The Doctor who likes custard creams and says senpai like a dopey old woman but trapped in a boring dogshit run of episodes while what you had just been watching in contrast was even fucking worse so it made you nostalgic for the sexy yorkshire lass and when the show was only 3/4s dead and not a decaying corpse
She wasn't a Hartnell at all. She was an action woman Doctor, like when she snapped the horn off of a Judoon.
Mel was left in the Future in Dragonfire and then she's randomly on prresent day Earth
This.
Good actor saddled with shit writing.
Much like Colin Baker in that regard.
I got secondhand embarrassment from her portrayal, and no amount of sexual attraction could change that
But she's got like a super cool rocket wheelchair and she can zoom about like a DeLorean.
Don't DISS her disability
Except Series 14 and 15 are still much better than Jodie's episodes.
First for Seadevils
It's fucked up we never got to see Ncuti rocking this fit and instead RTD decided on having him wear the weird TARDIS kilt.
why did she have a rocket wheelchair in the fake 1950s retrofuture fake world
He's going "Im the last of time lords" when other Rani is alive and he saw her escape
I felt like i was on crack through this whole thing.
Say what you will about the Chibnall era, the monster designs and costumes were actually pretty great.
RTD is a retard for making the sea devils just water silurians, and Chibnall is a retard for making the silurians just humans with lizard makeup
Good VFX is no substitute for bad storytelling.
Episode all about wishing
Ends with a man in a dress turning into a blonde woman (hag)
Doctor Who is a trans metaphor (and that's a good thing)
What the fuck is that
Better than Tennant 2 and Jodie.
Gatwa's legacy will be he's the one who came between David Tennant and Billie Piper
Apparently this guy from SJA is a Time Lord
sea devil
Realising all too late that Jodie is cute...
Time Hotel in the future still exists despite the present always ending because....
Tennant 2 is better because he actually felt bad about the Flux unlike Jodie.
Didn't say it was
THE TIMELORDS ARE DEAD!!! bit has been so fucking annoying. They already solved this problem with Capaldi's doctor - why did the chib and RTD send them back?
Yet another deus ex machina plot device.
Lazy writing.
That Mary Shelley Frankenstein episode with the Cyberman and Village of the Weeping Angels mog the fuck out of every single Shooty episode and it isn't even close
in fact that one scene of the cyberman talking about killing his family alone mogs Shooty's run and is one of the best pieces of writing they came up with for the cybermen in years
>MMM boy you're FAT
I think Redditors are simply misappropriating their sense of disappointment.
They want the Doctor to be a cool authoritative heterosexual man, just like everyone else does, but they can't admit that, so they convince themselves that "too much nostalgia", and "politics actually not being woke enough" are the problems.
They're hopeless people. Can't even tell the truth on an anonymous forum. Can't even be real with themselves.
I genuinley think Chibnall didn't know the Time Lords were back and the bit about the Master killing them was a last-minute addition.
Smith leaves
"We didn't know how good we had it"
Capaldi leaves
"We didn't know how good we had it"
Whittaker leaves
"We didn't know how good we had it"
Tennant leaves
"We didn't know how good we had it"
Ncuti leaves
"We didn't know how good we had it"
Pretty based of Russell to make the Doctor trans again just in time for Pride Month.
The only good Jodie episode is Village of the Angels and it's still mogged by multiple other episodes like The Well.
Upon reading Eleven Things You Probably Didn't Know About the Corsair, Russell T Davies said he believed the Shopkeeper was an incarnation of the Corsair
Would've been a good twist if nobody was in the box afterwards.
this feeling stopped
Smith decided on his own characterisation, and he modeled himself on Troughton who he fell in love with when doing background research on the character. this is well known.
Moffat's intention was a Captain Jack Sparrow type rogue, which Matt completely undermined.
Being a grifter isn't as bad as being an incel.
The doctor, the REAL Doctor was asexual autistic fucker. All you millennials and zoomer fans care too much about his horn dog retcon and make it his whole identity
Series 9 is pigshit.
how many times do you have to say this, faggot?
"This is the doctor's OFFICIAL outfit!"
Worn a handful of times throughout the show, 0 consistency
I'm aware as to why RTD did it, I still think it's fucking dumb.
I was not a fan of the chibnall run but I did love the Master.
youtube.com
This scene was pure kino. He was like if 11 was The Master to me.
How did he rape her?
It's related to the Boss, so there's probably some sort of protection to it. It was still being adversely affected by the Wish World stuff with people abandoning it because of that, but it couldn't reach the Earth beyond 2025.
Stop falling for anons bbc fetish fan fictions anon...
why reveal himself like that? moron
That's how it is in a perpetual downward spiral
Bro, the real Doctor had a grand daughter.
He wasn't doing it with his companions because he was an authority figure and it wouldn't have been proper, and also it would have been implied adultery.
The "he's asexual" thing is just autism.
straw that broke the camel's back- normies are weird like that, they'll defend something to death until there is a random sea change and suddenly they all pretend that they hated X all along
same phenomenon with game of thrones- they loved it riiiight up until the ending then retrospectively changed their minds
this is why I hate them
Matt completely undermined.
He did not. Even in the first episode you had fish fingers and custard with other shit that's so typical of a lolsorandumb character. Matt's Doctor only started to be something different in Series 6 and even then he was still a lolsorandumb character that could talk to babies.
Because he gets a thrill out of fucking with The Doctor and he's an egomaniac that wants them to know? retard.
Then the writers ruined the character by making him even more camp than Anthony Ainley, which I would have not thought possible until it happened.
The Master is the ONE THING done right. And of course the Master was Rasputin, because of course he was. Brilliant, really.
New?
Dalek 2-parter:
Takes ages to get going, first episode basically nothing happens except destroying the Doctor's character, then it's boring predictable dark lame shite.
Lake:
Uninteresting, predictable, deaf character rubbish. Nothing stands out, and another goddamn timeloop paradox.
Girl Who Died:
Quite fun honestly but really just there to set up Ashildr, and way too much about "tidal waves" analogy that fails.
Woman Who Lived:
Absolute dogshit.
Zygons:
Really tedious political crap, the only good bit is the speech, they say - basically just "war is bad". Yeah. And he did it 14 times over or something making it pointless.
Sleep No More:
Best episode in the series for trying something new.
Raven:
Boring setup, does nothing except kill Clara after wasting half an hour.
Heaven Sent:
As explained, it's shit.
Hell Bent:
Double shit. Time Lords wasted, Doctor out of character, Clara sucks, whole thing is meaningless, Hybrid is nothing.
Series 9
is
Pigshit.
have you seen Troughton? He's the original zany Doctor. That was his thing.
has no reaction to Graham's wife dying in episode 1
murders a guy with a grenade or something who is completely justifiably rebelling against evil space Amazon
instead of shooting some alien spiders, traps them in a room to starve to death since she's autistic about using guns
intentionally gets herself and companions killed over and over in a warehouse just to bait the Daleks
has a guy thrown into the fucking sun to kill a Dalek attached to him
perfectly fine with a Sontaran fleet being exploded
sacrifices dogbro (formerly her best friend) and HIS ENTIRE SPECIES just to tank a death ray or something
no reaction to own adoptive mother getting disintegrated in front of her
gives zero fucks that half of the entire universe got wiped out
knows one of her lesbo companions is in love with her the whole time - doesn't care at all
never bothers emotionally connecting to her companions at all and they all need therapy afterwards
honestly I kinda like how much of an inhuman psycho 13 actually is, the fact that it's probably unintentional makes it even funnier
Point, since they had Carole Anne Ford turn up for a few cameos, and then there was no payoff on that premise whatsoever. Nice mess.
He was weird and goofy at some points, but I liked his fury, especially when the Doctor tried to disarm the bomb with the sonic, he felt genuinely insulted by that.
In a perfect world he wouldn't be remembered at all. He was absolutely fucking awful.
Billie Piper I think
He made her give birth to his baby and basically brainwashed her to be his girlfriend before the timeline corrected itself and Ncuti had to re-rape her to bring Poppy back.
My point was he didn't bang people left in right in his older eras. Seeing these retcons that he's so heterosexual to now super homosexual urks me. I let it slide cause the regens are kinda new identities but to claim that he's always like that is wrong.
The first episode of a new Doctor traditionally has that sort of silliness, as the Doctor's mind needs a bit of time to settle in to a new body, apparently. Tom Baker made a meal out of it in 1974.
He’ll be remembered as the black doctor because no one likes to say his stupid name.
the world is not ready for autistic women sadly
*my* point is he was a masculine patriarchal figure, and not a flaming gay.
It can still be argued that even when subsequent episodes are worse, does that make the previous episodes good eventually?
Fresh shit doesn't make old shit taste better.
Woman Doctor is a good idea.
Whittaker Doctor is a bad idea.
Doctor Poo lol
he is a quirky mad doctor that lives in a time machine and teaches you history
Troughton's Doctor was a fool yes, but Smith's Doctor still fit into that Jack Sparrow mold. I mean, I Am The Doctor was basically used like the Pirates theme tune.
What do you mean? It's Scottish /s
11 didn't have the post regeneration madness.
I don't see why it's a good idea. I don't see why we have to go through this whole ritual of making every man into a woman, and so forth, just because "it's about time".
Who decided it was about time? I'd say it's about time to stop ruining legacy franchises with your bullshit, and start being a bit more respectful about why people liked what they liked, and stop wiping your knob all over it.
Andor proves otherwise
10 was sleepy, 11 was hungry, 12 was confused.
Smith's characterisation was solid. Started out as a Troughton type which is fine. The problem is that at times it felt too similar to Tennant's gurning and silliness.
But Smith was superb as the post-Pond retired Doctor. I wish we'd got another series of him like that.
That's actually not BF either
I love this fit and when I first saw the picture it gave me plenty of ideas and now I rock those colors a lot.
>Heaven Sent:
As explained, it's shit.
Opinion disregarded, go and suck cocks
>Sleep No More:
Best episode in the series for trying something new.
