This is your Voldemort. Screencap this.
This is your Voldemort. Screencap this
Death Eaters this year are sitting at a market cap of 12billion galleons. I'm no Accountant of Dark Arts, but their EBITDA and margin should leviosa the fuck off the page at me, instead of whinging like a stuck fucking Hippogriff.
I AM LORD VOLDEMORT
I AM LORD VOLDEMORT
I AM LORD VOLDEMORT
Al Assad?
I bet they go with a different look, this was very movie specific. Look up the original design they had for Voldemort, it was gnarly
sends his Mossad crabs to eat the Boy Who Lived
uhhhh... yeah... ok.. i mean uhh... sure... yeah.. great.. whatever.. yeah.. go for it.. you know.. uhhh... fuck it all up.. yeah.. i'm feeling it.. feels good.. you know? alright yeah uh... can we action this? i mean like.. you know... now? ok? let's go
that would work except he's not british
Neither is who they cast for Dumbledore. A British accent isn't hard to do
I want the Elder Wand. I’ve earned it. I’m the FUCKING HEIR OF SLYTHERIN, OK? I don’t wanna FUCKING HEAR IT, ALBUS
cast a Jew to play a fascist race purist
I actually buy this. The showrunner is the same as Succession. This could be a real leaker
it is for an american, john lithgow is a special case very very few americas can convincingly pull off a british accent
This is a common misconception. A British accent is easier to do for Americans than an American accent is for British/Australians. The American accent actually requires more tongue muscle, the British accent is "lazier". It's easier to relax a muscle than grow one
its the other way around thats why no american has ever managed a convincing australian accent
No, it isn't lol. Google it. I'm not engaging you in some sort of abstract debate, I am telling you the facts that you can either acquaint yourself with or not
I don't need to google it I can simply hear it any time an american attempts a british or australian accent, I can count on one hand the times they managed a british one, they have never managed an australian one, your a burger aren't you?
Nooo my gay dumb ancedotal experience trumps all!!
Many such cases
Margot Robbie, an Australian actress, has frequently talked about the difficulty of an American accent, for funsies
youtube.com
As she says here, it literally requires you to build up the muscles in your tongue. All an American has to do for an Australian accent is let the tongue get lazy. It’s still something that requires practice and finetuning like anything else in a good performance but it’s easier. We can agree to disagree and you can keep closing your eyes and plugging your ears if you want
Yes I knew you wrere going to bring up robbie I am well aware of what she's said, however she is wrong as proven by the fact you can't produce a single american actor in a single scene who has ever managed a convincing australian accent
*By the way, one of the reasons no salient example of an American doing an Australian accent comes to mind is because Americans aren't rushing to make movies about Australia, it's Australians trying to break into Hollywood. Duh
Yeah Margot is wrong and you're right, genius dude. Lmao, it's really idiot central on this board today
yes I'm right now go ahead and find a single instance that proves me wrong, anything at all, I'll be waiting
americans attempt australian accents all the time, they can't do it
No retard, you don't get any further engagement, you live in your own little world where you know everything. This thread isn't about you however. Bye!
Hopefully Jeremy Strong finds a way to do a book accurate Australian accent
lol fucking idiot run away now
I've seen nothing to suggest he could do a british one either
If Assad and Erdogan had a son
Nobody asked
Yes somebody did, me, nd if he is cast everyone else will be asking to just like they did with lithgow until it was pointed out he played Winston Churchill in The Crown and definitely can do a convincing British accent
Lithgow isn't a unicorn, actors can do accents and a British accent is one of the most commonly demanded accents of American actors, and it's not a real concern and not an interesting conversation. You can personally be concerned but nobody cares
You are an idiot if he is cast, that same day hundreds of articles will be published all with a variation of this
"but can he convincingly do a british accent"? literally hundreds of articles within hours of the announcement, screen cap this you moron
I think the bigger concern will be if he can play a wizard, especially since he himself is not one. That might be a stretch. I guess it helps in the business of pretending to be something he's not
see you can't help but be a faggot, no the only issue will be if he can do a british accent or not, no-one questions his acting ability he has proven that many times.
No there won’t. This is all in your head. Actors do accents. Literally all the fucking time. Do you know Florence Pugh? She is a British actor. Guess what accent she uses in Marvel? A Russian accent. Oops. Someone should have told her she was British! Idiot. The fact I even have to bring up an example for you is insane.
Oh really because that is exactly what happened when they announced lithgow, you aren't keeping up with the debate, no-one is saying britsh actors can't do accents the debate is if american actors can do british accents and by and large the answer is no, no they can't
Literally just not a thing at all, sorry. Not responding any further.
Yes it is stay BTFO you retard, and remember this conversation the next time they cast an american actor in a british role
for fuck's sake Albus!
this-this doesn't make, like, LOGIC, where's the logic?!
this is disgusting, this is fucking disgusting!
IT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE ANY SENSE!
I'M THE HEIR OF SLYTHERIN!
Be honest, you could see him doing a Voldemort with immense gravitas
So what, he's going to be in one episode as a face on the back of a head, then fuck off for 4 years?
Yeah they'd want the continuity of having him do the initial Voldemort, unlike the movies, but he wouldn't play a major role until the fourth book. That said, they might still use him for flashbacks or making malign visages in the sky a la Coppola's Dracula
Yeah, I'm not disagreeing, he could actually kill it.
I've thought about that myself. Maybe they could pepper some flashback worldbuilding throughout the seasons and even combine a book or two? Otherwise yeah, it feels pretty stupid to "cast" Voldemort now for a single scene, then tell people to wait for 4 seasons, which in the current climate will be like 6 years of waiting at best.
great actor but when he smiles he looks exactly like the punic votive mask, there's a scene in succession where he full on smiles and it's uncanny
can this actor do an accent?!!?
You might actually be autistic if you think the average person doesn't accept this as part of their jobs. There absolutely will not be 100 articles about it you buffoon.
yes their will
Strong
has no shoulders
bravo rowling
Soooo.... Snakelike?
Jesse Armstrong is not involved in the Harry Potter TV show
He means Francesca Gardiner, she was a producer of Succession but not the showrunner yeah
